Lesson 199: Journeys and Fertilizers

Typically, there are many ways to say what an adventurer will do when he defeats an unclean demon that needs purification, not just a corrupt walk (zombie).

For example, purifying carcasses with holy water, as Lorraine said earlier.

There will be a relatively large number of people doing this when they are active or as long as they are not so powerful as that is necessary and sufficient.

However, the most common would be the pattern of doing nothing.

Holy water is a tense thing, and many who carry it with them at all times are not adventurers.

If you're being asked to crusade an unclean demon, you'll bring it if you're a good sense adventurer, but a lot of people don't bring it because it's troublesome in the first place or because it's less profitable.

When that happens, what happens is, leave it there.

This is not a very good behavior, because when the carcass of an unclean demon is there, the land will be cursed and eventually transformed into a swampy land of Talask.

They will be able to make land that no man can live in.

Of course, if you are evil or angry enough to walk (a zombie) by rot, you can leave it alone, but the grass won't grow in the place where the carcass was for a few years or so, but it's still not a good idea to leave it.

With that in mind, this is how Lorraine collected her ashes.

The demon stone one would simply have collected it in an attempt to sell it later, but this also needs to be purified.

However, if you shatter it by the time it becomes ash, as Lorraine did, it may not be necessary to purify it.

Because if you put it on a tornado like that, and it spreads fine all around you, the evil and the bad will be dispersed, and there will be no great harm.

In that case, the only damage that could be considered to come out is a bit of a bad mood when it takes streets around here, or a little slow growth of plants, that's about it.

Still, it's not good, but the reality would be that the extent is acceptable.

It's just that Lorraine was a well-informed adventurer, that's all.

She had holy water, too, and would have used it without me.

Now that I'm here, I don't need to use it.

Anyway, holy water is expensive.

If you can keep it warm, you better.

In that regard, no matter how much I spend on holiness, I will recover in a while.

I can see the usefulness of holy care.

"Then do it."

That's what I said, I put my hands up against the accumulated ashes and demonic stones, and I began to take holy heart there.

Purifying and healing is a good place to know how to do it sensibly.

I'm sure it would be more efficient to use it systematically, because the only way to learn about it is to join some religious group.

And then you expect me to ask for free sacred care?

There aren't many, but not all of them.

When I slowly pour out my holy chi, I feel the disastrous signs that were caged in ash and demonic stones unraveling and dissolving in the air.

Seems well purified and relieved.

Even though I know how to use it, I can't stop wondering if this is the right thing to do.

I hope there doesn't seem to be a problem this time.

It's just...

"... That's business fertilizer. Is this what happens when you purify..."

And so groans Lorraine staring into the purified ashes.

I...

"... stop traveling fertilizer. If you look at the results, you have to realize that the name is exactly right."

I answered and stared into the ashes as well.

There are many things growing there, like pimples and twins, and you can clearly see that I've grown them now because of my sacred care.

Grasshoppers don't grow where they are offended by evil or curiosity, so the fact that small sprouts grow this way is a good thing because it shows that this place is well purified and that the environment is ready for plants to grow, but I had to feel stunned by the increased sense of travel fertilizer.

"... well, okay. It's not like there's any damage. Take the demon stone and you'll be fine.

Like Lorraine gave up. Yes, she asks me.

I looked at the demon stone, making sure I didn't feel particularly evil or angry, and I nodded.

"Oh, the magic stone of a corrupt walking (zombie) must be a lot of money..."

"Well. I'll use it to study necromancy. It'll be just fine."

Lorraine says it's like nothing, but once it's banned.

It doesn't mean that if the state doesn't recognize it or use it, it will be punished, but in the sense that it is supposedly not to be used ethically.

In the first place, necromancy itself, with legendary technology, is now said to be lost.

I know that's why research, that's why, but I'm a little scared that if Lorraine takes it seriously, she's going to resurrect it.

But it was surprising that Lorraine was interested in such a thing.

"Why are you researching necromancy?

And when I asked her that, she said,

"It's going to help us understand the Undead. I've already lost it, so it might be a shortcut to honestly research the immortals (undead) that exist in reality, but maybe it'll help..."

Answer.

So now I know why.

"... in short, is it for me?

And when I asked, Lorraine had a natural face.

"Isn't that obvious? I'm not going to stick my hand in the forbidden arts either. Sometimes it's not a problem because I'm not punished for researching anything."

Answer

It just kind of got worse with the strain,

"... sorry"

That said, Lorraine said,

"That's not the case in that case, Lent. You'd have something else to say, wouldn't you?

I said, so I...

"Right...... thanks. Always helping."

Answer.

Lorraine then said,

"What, don't worry"

That's what I said.

◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇

Then a while later,

"... oh, don't anyone come near me again? Now you're human?

Says Lorraine.

I was aware of that, too.

Or something that was engaged with it would have come from the lack of signs of the corrupt walking (zombies) that I had felt earlier in the distance.

There is one sign that we are approaching.

There were quite a few corrupt walkers (zombies) who felt far away, so if they were human, they would say they could defeat them alone.

Quite hands-on.

I wish I was an adventurer, but not if I was a bandit or something.

Me and Lorraine were on guard, waiting for something of that to get closer.
