Episode 579: Port Cities and Adventurers

The Lucalis Adventurers' Union Guild was very different from when we visited it after we arrived in the city and was busy with many adventurers.

Many adventurers will return by now from the request, which means that every union of adventurers is the same.

Naturally, the overall feeling of the air is similar to that of Malt, but I just get the impression that the adventurers outfit themselves more sophisticated than Malt... urban people.

It's a feeling I also felt when I visited Visterya, king's capital of Yaran, but Lucalis is more pronounced.

Malt humans felt as if they were desolate, but Lucalis' adventurers said they were also concerned about the decoration of weapons.

Of course, to such an extent as not to compromise functionality, but still something very different.

Whatever it is, it is a port town, and it is Ariana, a country where trade flourishes.

So it's unnecessarily different from the rural state Yarlan.

I mean, I'm floating there in that place... maybe, but that's what it was.

Make it a mask. Make it a robe, it's not very rare on its own, but the mask is an elephant skeleton, and if anyone sees the robe, they'll know it's there.

You won't be sure about the contents, but all in all, he looks like a dangerous guy who's going to do something about it.

That's why, in the evening, the adventurers, who came to report after the request, glimpse me with suspicious eyes as I take Lorraine's blood out of my nostalgia and sip it over to the soup, staring at the reception at the snack parlor where the adventurers union Alliance co-operates.

Still, the majority convince themselves and moderately ignore them in a way that feels like a drifter, or a newly-settled guy, or a newbie, but some come close and talk to me once in a while.

But it may look very suspicious, but I've been an adventurer for ten years now, until I say veteran there... but it's not like I started it yesterday.

I also know how to deal with them well enough to convince me that they look that way when I talk to them to some extent, but the contents are normal guys.

Unique,

"... hmm? What the hell is that? It looks good, but it's a seasoning I don't see here."

So much so that I had a little trouble with someone asking me, etc.

Lucalis is the only city in Ariana where commerce flourishes, and adventurers seem to have no eyes for new things, as several adventurers have spoken from earlier.

They think I have Lorraine's blood on hand as some kind of new seasoning.

Well, at first glance, it looks like liquid chili or something, but for that, the color is deep, and I know exactly what it feels like.

I said to those who questioned me, distorting my mouth.

"... this is sheep's blood... the truth is, human blood was good..."

Of course, I'm gonna make a little joke.

And if I behaved like this and let him pull it off, it might be easier not to get involved very much in the future.

It's not that I can't read the air.

I can read a little bit.

In reality, however, I understand the reaction of Lucalis' adventurers after that dialogue that I didn't know what Lucalis' air was.

I'm sure they'll pull it off even more, I thought, what a surprise.

"... hey, sheep's blood. I've eaten the guy who made it harder and sausage, but it's not raw on boulders. Is there a special area out there?

Like,

"Of humans...... oh, could it be to some kind of curse? Did you lose blood without taking it? I know how you feel... No, that's it. I also found a curse in the labyrinth the other day, but I tried using it because he's a shallow guy, and he probably didn't have a big curse, and the water grew in his hands... see, look. I still pulled most of this off, but when I asked the guy at the curse store, he said we'd stay like this for the next three days or so... don't struggle with each other."

You know, strangely comprehensible dialogue returns.

So I understood that humans in countries where curses circulate well and commerce thrives seem to have a very different feeling about things than Malt's.

It's just a lot easier for me to spend.

Nobody seems to blame you for sipping blood all over the place...

No, is it just the adventurers who are so bold on the boulders?

When I was surprised by the unexpected culture that way, I saw a nostalgic face at the entrance to the Adventurers' Union, so I told the adventurer in front of me,

"... sorry. Looks like someone's been waiting for you."

That's how I apologize and get up.

The adventurer

"Oh, see you later."

And he laughed and waved pretty friendly at me as a newcomer.

As far as this is concerned, is the type like the Needs unusual?

No......

Well, think about that later.

First of all......

"... Capitan"

"Ah?... Whoa!? Lent? I told Lucalis it was you..."

Speaking from behind, Capitan said so surprised at the same time he saw my face.

Of course he would have noticed that I approached him from behind because he was a master of Qi, but he didn't know exactly who the person was on the boulder until he was Qi.

If it's got some hitting on it, you know, but I guess it was unexpected to have me here right now on the boulder.

Naturally.

Lucalis and Marto are further away than Marto and Hathaller.

Yeah, well, it's not like it's coming.

It's just that we have the means to do it, so it's easy to get here.

"For a number of reasons, I want the Capitans to work out again."

"Work out?"

I told the neck leaning Capitan how I've been.

The more the Capitans heard everything, the more they nodded,

"But you're the silver... adventurer operation seems to be going well, good. I miss when I said I can't get up from the copper class all the time looking at you right now."

"It just so happens that a few coincidences have overlapped, and it's a little too bad it's not my strength,"

"No matter how many coincidences overlap, no one can. You've had so much to pile up, you've been able to take advantage of it to get here. Don't be overconfident, but appreciate exactly what you've done."

For me, who doesn't have much experience of being evaluated straight from the front this way, what I was told like this in a way that was close to accidental stabbed me in the chest.

I tell the Capitans.

"... right, right... thanks. Capitan."
