Chapter 1534: Baby’s Rations
Bai Zhi’er quickly checked her own pulse.
But she still couldn’t detect any clues from her pulse.
So, she followed the method taught in the Heavenly Book and took out an Immortal Mirror.
She reached out to touch the other wrist reflected in the mirror.
Suddenly!
The mirror surface rippled gently like water.
It was like the rhythm of life, not yet strong, but clearly perceptible.
This principle is what the Heavenly Book describes, the Demon Fetus won’t show any trace of its own aura before it fully adapts to the mother’s body, to protect itself.
If one wants to know, they can only find answers from the "opposite world."
Bai Zhi’er’s dark watery eyes sparkled with joy.
She quickly placed her hand on her still-flat abdomen.
"My dear, you seem smarter than me. Mother said that when I was in her belly, I was so rambunctious, afraid she wouldn’t notice me."
"Grow well and keep yourself hidden."
Bai Zhi’er had hardly eaten anything for almost half a month.
As an immortal, she enjoyed the delicacies of the mortal world, but it was just a hobby, and not eating posed no problem.
However, because of this happy event, Bai Zhi’er regained her appetite.

She quickly called for the Immortal Servant and had a table of delicious food served.
After feasting, the Immortal Servant praised, "Your Majesty’s complexion looks so much better, no longer a pitiful pale but tinged with a gentle pink!"
Bai Zhi’er smiled sweetly.
She certainly had to take good care of herself.
Because she now had to take care of a little one!
Before the Demon Fetus fully matured, Bai Zhi’er couldn’t let it be discovered by the gods.
She bet correctly; if she could successfully carry the Demon Fetus, after it’s born, she could pass her mana to the child.
This would help the child possess the dual body of a God Demon, becoming the most powerful existence in the Three Realms.
By then, he could fully shoulder the responsibility of the Heavenly Dao, and she could seek redemption from Feng Fuce.
Just as Bai Zhi’er was rejoicing, that familiar pain struck again!
She quickly clutched her stomach, leaning tightly against the chair.
Ouch...
Why does it still hurt this much?
Right! Although she knew it was due to the Demon Fetus, she hadn’t seen in the Heavenly Book why carrying a Demon Fetus would cause such stabbing pain.
Bai Zhi’er was afraid there might be something wrong with the child.
She spent the entire day in the Shenshu Pavilion just to find an answer.
Finally, she discovered the problem.
An old Shenshu mentioned that the reason for the unbearable pain when carrying a Demon Fetus is that the Demon Fetus cannot absorb equal nutrients in the mother’s body.
The book recorded a similar case.
Once, a little fairy was pregnant with a Demon’s child, but it soon died in the womb.
This was because, although the mother fed herself daily, it was a Demon Fetus, and for it to grow, it must first absorb the aura of the Demon Clan.
The end of the book also mentioned that Mutual Grass from the Demon World, boiled into a soup and taken three bowls daily, is the best remedy to nourish the Demon Fetus.
"Mutual Grass..." Bai Zhi’er noted down the herb.
Given her current status, entering the Demon World is not advisable.
But where could she find Mutual Grass to nurture the child?
While she was fretting, the Immortal Servant came to Shenshu Pavilion, "Your Majesty, Immortal Lord Lu Wang has arrived at the immortal palace, wishing to meet you."
Bai Zhi’er’s eyes suddenly brightened.
"Alright, invite him to the main hall, I’ll be right over."
She followed the corridor, stepped on the stairs made of colorful clouds, and arrived at the main hall to find Lu Wang pacing nervously back and forth.
