Su Yuqing also noticed Wang Lulu leaning against the window, watching them. Her face instantly flushed red.

After opening the door, she uncharacteristically scurried inside first.

Chen Mo chuckled, not minding. He turned, made a finger gun gesture in Wang Lulu's direction, and then closed the door.

Seeing Chen Mo's gesture, Wang Lulu stuck out her tongue and ducked her head back inside.

Inside the apartment, Su Yuqing went straight to the kitchen to prepare honey lemon tea after coming in.

Usually, this was something Chen Mo did after he got home. Su Yuqing felt that even though she had signed a nanny contract, Chen Mo was the one serving and taking care of her most of the time.

She felt quite bad about it.

So, she hurried into the kitchen first and got busy.

When she saw Chen Mo approaching, she immediately pushed him out. "Go sit on the sofa and watch some TV. I'll handle this from now on."

"Oh? Spoken like the lady of the house," Chen Mo teased with a smile as he sat down on the sofa.

Hearing this, Su Yuqing wasn't as shy as before. Instead, a faint, almost imperceptible smile graced her face.

She quickly finished making the tea.

Although she rarely made this sort of thing, she had watched Chen Mo do it a few times and had a basic understanding of the proportions.

Soon, she returned with two glasses of honey lemon water.

"See if the way I made it is similar to yours," Su Yuqing said with a smile.

Chen Mo took the glass, took a small sip, and said with a smile, "Not bad. You've graduated."

Receiving his approval, Su Yuqing immediately broke into a radiant smile.

For some reason, every time he saw her sunny smile, Chen Mo's heart couldn't help but ache slightly.

'It's a smile I want to see forever and ever.'

He hoped that in the days to come, Su Yuqing would smile like this often.

"What's wrong?" Seeing Chen Mo staring at her blankly without moving, Su Yuqing asked in confusion.

"Nothing. I just think you look beautiful when you smile." Chen Mo went for a direct hit.

A simple, devastating blow.

A single sentence struck right at Su Yuqing's heart.

She shyly turned towards the television and didn't reply.

But her heart was filled with sweetness. She also made a mental note of his words—she should smile more in the future.

After watching TV for a while, Su Yuqing noticed Chen Mo was still staring blankly at her. Flustered, she kept her eyes glued to the screen while gently reaching out and pushing his head towards the television.

Chen Mo chuckled, finally taking a sip of his lemon tea. He teased, "So stingy. Can't even let a guy look at you for a bit longer."

Su Yuqing quietly drank her honey lemon tea. The normally slightly sour drink tasted exceptionally sweet tonight.

After finishing their tea, the two of them, sitting on the sofa, gradually leaned against each other, shoulder to shoulder.

After watching TV together for a while, Su Yuqing started to feel a little sleepy.

But when she got up to open the guest room door, she was surprised to find it wouldn't open.

"I think there's something wrong with my door." She hurried back to the living room to ask Chen Mo for help.

Chen Mo feigned a look of surprise and quickly walked over to the guest room door to test it.

Then he said regretfully, "Looks like the lock is broken. It's too late to find someone to fix it now."

"Huh?" Su Yuqing was stunned for a moment. "Then what should I do?"

"Why don't you just make do in my room for tonight? Your pajamas are dry on the balcony, you can just change into them," Chen Mo said with a smile.

Su Yuqing glanced at the pajamas and underwear on the balcony, then at Chen Mo's bedroom, and nodded with a blush.

Soon, Chen Mo finished washing up first. After he came out in a fresh set of pajamas, Su Yuqing took a spare new toothbrush and cup, along with her already-prepared pajamas, and went into the bathroom.

Chen Mo glanced at the balcony and noticed Su Yuqing hadn't taken her bra, only her dry pajamas and underwear.

He knew that women generally don't like to wear bras to sleep, and that it wasn't good for them.

Just as Chen Mo's mind began to wander, his imagination running wild with fantasies spurred by this discovery, an unknown amount of time passed. Su Yuqing, finished with her shower and dressed in pink pajamas, returned to the living room and stood there, staring blankly at Chen Mo, unsure of what to do.

"It's getting late. Let's get to bed early," Chen Mo said with a smile, getting up.

As he entered the bedroom, Su Yuqing, not thinking much of it, prepared to head for the sofa in the living room.

But unexpectedly, Chen Mo grabbed her hand.

"Where are you going?"

"The sofa," Su Yuqing said, giving Chen Mo a surprised look.

"You're sleeping in the bedroom." Chen Mo pulled Su Yuqing into the bedroom.

Su Yuqing's brain instantly shut down.

"Then what about you?" she asked blankly.

"I'm sleeping in the bedroom too, of course," Chen Mo replied with a grin.

This time, it was Su Yuqing's turn to fall silent.

And in the next moment, Chen Mo's actions stunned her even more.

CLICK! Chen Mo closed the bedroom door behind him. The soft sound of the metal latch engaging was exceptionally clear in the quiet night.

Su Yuqing never would have imagined that Chen Mo would actually lock the door.

She felt as if that soft click had struck her very heart, making her eardrums buzz.

For a moment, she didn't understand what Chen Mo was planning to do.

She subconsciously clutched the hem of her pajamas, her fingertips mindlessly rubbing the cotton fabric. Her gaze darted frantically around the room—moonlight streamed through the gaps in the curtains, drawing silver lines on the floor; Chen Mo's breathing was right beside her; the air was filled with the fresh scent of the same body wash he used.

'Does he want to...?'

The thought of last night's dream made her blood rush. 'Is my dream about to become reality?' she wondered.

But for it to actually happen in reality left her feeling both expectant and incredibly nervous and helpless.

She wrung her small hands together, suddenly at a complete loss as to how she should even stand in this space.

"You take the comforter. I'll just use the blanket," Chen Mo's voice, like warm water, smoothed out the tense atmosphere with a touch of gentleness.

He knelt on one knee by the bed to spread out the blanket. The collar of his pajamas fell slightly open with the movement, revealing a still-damp spot on his collarbone that shimmered faintly in the moonlight.

After sitting on the bed with the blanket, Chen Mo gently patted the comforter beside him and said, "Come on up."

Her face flushed, Su Yuqing's feet felt as if they were filled with lead. She slowly shuffled over, feeling her throat tighten as the hazy sensations from last night's dream suddenly became vivid.

She stared at her shadow on the floor and heard herself ask in a voice as faint as a mosquito's buzz, "It's gotten colder after the rain these past two days. You should take the comforter."

The moment the words left her mouth, she hastily bit her lower lip and lowered her head in embarrassment, only to see a bright, unconcealed smile in Chen Mo's eyes as he turned.

"Alright then. I'll sleep on the outside, in case you fall off during the night." Chen Mo tossed the blanket aside, lifted a corner of the comforter, and pressed his hand down on the mattress, making a slight indentation—an invitation to join him.
