The moment she saw the video, Su Yuqing’s face turned beet red. When she noticed all her classmates looking their way, she was so mortified that she immediately buried her face in her desk, unable to look at anyone.

Chen Mo, on the other hand, wasn’t too bothered. He simply turned to look at Wang Lulu, which frightened her so much that she quickly pressed her palms together in a gesture of apology and explained, "I only sent it to Xiao Yu! I told her to keep it secret, I really don’t know how it got out."

Hearing this, Chen Mo gave a resigned smile. ’It was the classic "You’re my best friend, so I’m only telling you this one secret. You have to promise not to tell anyone else..." situation.’

Everyone has a best friend, so once a secret gets out, it quickly stops being a secret at all.

Chen Mo didn’t blame Wang Lulu, though.

After all, he had never intended to hide the fact that they were living together. Besides, it was impossible to conceal it indefinitely.

He and Su Yuqing couldn’t just sneak home every day or deliberately leave at different times.

That kind of deliberate behavior would only make Su Yuqing feel uncomfortable.

It would be like implying that there was something shameful about her staying at his place.

Chen Mo would never act that way.

The only reason he hadn’t been open about it was out of consideration for Su Yuqing, who he figured would be shy about the topic.

’Anyway, their homeroom teacher already knows. What’s the big deal if the rest of the class finds out too?’

At that moment, all the boys were looking at Chen Mo with envy. Even Huang Mao shot him a sleazy grin.

The girls, meanwhile, stared at Su Yuqing in astonishment, shocked at how bold she was. They were still in school, yet she was already living with a boy she liked.

It was simply unbelievable.

In a corner of the classroom, however, Lin Yu’an’s reaction was different. Upon hearing the news, he didn’t look at Chen Mo, who was usually the object of his attention. Instead, for the first time, his gaze fell upon Su Yuqing.

But his face was completely expressionless, making it impossible to know what he was thinking.

Before long, their homeroom teacher, He Xiaoyun, arrived.

As soon as she entered, she gave Chen Mo a look of disbelief.

Seeing her look at him like that, Chen Mo guessed she must have been worried and contacted Su Yuqing’s mother again after she left yesterday.

’This time, Su Yuqing’s mother, Li Fengzhi, must have responded to He Xiaoyun in a much more normal state of mind.’

He Xiaoyun quickly entered the classroom and crooked a finger at Chen Mo.

"What did you do to get on Sister Yun’s bad side now? It’s so early and she’s already coming after you," Huang Mao said, giving Chen Mo a surprised look.

"Can’t you ever think something good about me?" Chen Mo shot Huang Mao a look, then walked past him to follow He Xiaoyun out of the classroom.

"What’s up, Ms. He?" Chen Mo asked He Xiaoyun curiously.

"You little rascal, you’ve got some moves," He Xiaoyun said, her curiosity piqued. "I called Yuqing’s mother last night, planning to put in another good word for you. I never expected her to have such a sudden change of heart. What did you say to her after you went home yesterday?" She’d been wondering about it all night.

She couldn’t wrap her head around it. Based on the mental state of the Li Fengzhi she’d met yesterday—and while it wasn’t polite to say so directly—she truly felt the woman was suffering from some kind of mental health issue.

Once parents like that become obstinate, they are the most difficult type for a teacher to handle.

Even she, a veteran teacher and experienced head of the class, wouldn’t dare claim she could persuade such a parent. Yet somehow, Chen Mo had managed to win her over using some unknown method.

Naturally, she couldn’t resist asking him to get to the bottom of it.

Chen Mo was touched by He Xiaoyun’s question.

It was clear that, as their homeroom teacher, He Xiaoyun was incredibly dedicated and responsible.

In fact, this matter was already well beyond the scope of her duties.

After all, she had already done everything a homeroom teacher should do. There was no need for her to communicate with Su Yuqing’s mother again; she could have just let the matter unfold on its own.

If Chen Mo refused to back down, there was nothing more she, as the teacher, could do.

The argument would just escalate until it required a meeting between both sets of parents.

But He Xiaoyun had done her best to mediate, all to avoid causing more trouble for everyone involved.

She had helped Chen Mo with his self-criticism letter and had even spent her evening worrying and making another call to try and persuade the mother.

She had truly gone above and beyond.

With this in mind, Chen Mo first thanked his teacher before explaining what had happened after school the previous day.

Of course, he didn’t tell her every single detail.

He simply mentioned that Su Yuqing and her mother had reconciled.

The root of He Xiaoyun’s concern was that Li Fengzhi would come to the school and cause a scene, which would be bad for Chen Mo, Su Yuqing, and all the other students in the class.

As long as the situation with Li Fengzhi was resolved, He Xiaoyun could rest easy.

"Hearing you say that, I won’t worry about it anymore. The most important thing is that Yuqing won’t get hurt. That’s the best possible outcome," He Xiaoyun said with a smile, glancing at Su Yuqing, who still had her head down on her desk.

"Don’t worry, Ms. He. Yuqing is doing great at my place. However..."

Chen Mo leaned in and whispered something in his teacher’s ear.

He Xiaoyun nodded after listening, then patted Chen Mo’s shoulder with a smile. "You really are a good kid. I have to say, I’m starting to admire you. Alright, you can head back now. I’ll take care of what you mentioned."

"Thanks for the help, Ms. He! Love ya!" Chen Mo said playfully, making a finger heart at He Xiaoyun before heading back into the classroom.

Watching him go, He Xiaoyun felt a momentary daze. Sometimes Chen Mo seemed so mature, not at all like a teenager, while at other times, he still had that boyish mischievousness.

She gave a resigned smile, shook her head, and turned to head back to her office.

When Chen Mo returned to the classroom, all eyes were on him once again.

Many of them assumed he had been called out because of the news about him and Su Yuqing living together.

Seeing everyone staring, he gave a wry smile. "It’s nothing important. Mind your own business."

Hearing this, the students didn’t press the matter.

Huang Mao, however, looked at Chen Mo with admiration. "You just made a heart sign at Sister Yun. You’ve got some serious guts, man."

"What’s the big deal? Is there something wrong with showing some love to a respected teacher?" Chen Mo replied with a wry smile.

"So what did Sister Yun want? Was it about you two living together?" Huang Mao asked curiously.

"Of course not. If it was about us living together, do you think she’d only call me out?" Chen Mo shot back, giving Huang Mao a look.

"Then what was it about?"

"That’s grown-up business. Little kids shouldn’t ask so many questions," Chen Mo teased with a grin.

"Little Yueyue is the little kid here. Since when am I one?" Huang Mao retorted, annoyed.

"Because you two are a pair," Chen Mo said matter-of-factly. In the next instant, a protest came back in perfect unison, "Who’s a pair with him?!"
