Chapter 1160 - 1156: Such a Rebirth! (Part 1)
Igor’s sword slashed towards Stanley.
Igor controlled the force and precision of the sword well; he didn’t think this strike could bring about Stanley’s demise. After all, the leader of this circus wasn’t a rabble; he had a strong reserve of Spirit Power, something Igor could sense.
This strike from Igor was meant to deplete; he intended to bring down the leader of the Star Circus completely. Achieving this in one stroke was impossible, so he used a method he had employed before.
He wanted to awaken all the factors of resistance, to arouse the rebellious nature within everyone here.
At that moment, the person who would drown out the leader of this circus would naturally arise.
Igor’s lips curled into a smile. Though his body still bore the wounds from the earlier sword thrust, it no longer mattered, for his sword of resistance had already swung out, evidently stirring those shadows of rebellion.
Stanley continued to evade Igor’s Sword Qi, and of course, he wasn’t idle. As a Hunter, covert actions were his specialty. During this evasion, he wove a Spirit Web, creating Spirit Power traps, looking exceedingly busy. Igor was his prey, and he was determined to capture him.
He had encountered all sorts of beasts, none of which could escape his pursuit. This young man was an anomaly, one he intended to force into the realm of reason.
With traps and webs in place, everything was prepared. If the opponent set foot in this area, they would pay the price of losing their freedom.
The trap required bait, and he himself was that bait.
Suddenly, Stanley stood motionless. He still couldn’t believe that the giant Amoon would be defeated by this youth’s Physique Technique, and so stealthily, disappearing without a trace after just a few strikes. Moreover, he couldn’t imagine that the Douglas Dwarf group wouldn’t even fire a single shot, that the weapons they prided themselves on couldn’t even be drawn, and that the Alchemists were similarly helpless against the youth, as if this boy possessed an unfathomable energy...
He also nearly failed. But now, everything was back under his control...
Igor was rushing at him with the sword in hand, and now, this guy had entered his area of control.
Igor raised the Meteor Sword to send a signal.
Stanley clenched his fist tightly and pulled hard: "Take advantage of this moment!"
Suddenly, several Spirit Power arrows attacked around Igor. Naturally, a normal person’s first reaction would be to dodge these arrows.
However, at that moment, Igor was not an ordinary person; he was a signal bearer, and he couldn’t be bothered with these trifles.
He unleashed his Thunder Shield, resulting in a crackling sound as Spirit Power arrows collided with Lightning Thunder, causing piercing explosions.
Stanley watched in disbelief as his Spirit Power arrows were dissolved into nothingness by the thunder... while Igor stood unscathed, high, and aloft with the Meteor Sword!
"Arise, those who do not wish to forget who they are, rise and resist, all who strive to reclaim themselves!"
BOOM—CRACK—
A streak of lightning shot skyward amidst rumbling sounds, instantly illuminating the cloud-covered sky with golden light.
Stanley’s mouth hung open wide; he couldn’t understand why Igor had stopped. He had originally thought this guy would continue chasing him.
Igor quietly sheathed his Meteor Sword, his face calm, using his hand to cover the wound from earlier, poison from which had been entirely expelled, although Igor had lost a fair amount of blood.
Stanley couldn’t comprehend, was this a surrender?
Igor said nothing, tending to his wound by himself.
"Why have you halted...?" Stanley couldn’t resist asking.
"I’m not foolish enough to run into your trap..." Igor replied indifferently.
"Heh, you found out, but it doesn’t matter; you’re still my prey!" Stanley immediately resumed his fierce appearance.
"You should consider, how you’re going to deal with them!" Igor didn’t even lift his eyes.
"What are you talking about?" Stanley was at a loss, feeling that the youth was playing tricks.
"You will find out soon!" Igor’s lips curled up as he turned around, preparing to leave.
"What are you doing, aren’t you afraid I’ll attack you? How dare you turn your back on me!" Stanley was somewhat enraged, feeling insulted. Igor had left just like that, as if completely dismissing him.
"You can try." Igor didn’t look back. He could feel the anger of those resistors.
Stanley watched helplessly as he found himself unable to move. Even in his original state, he couldn’t control his own thoughts!
"Give me back my mind!"
"This is mine, give it back."
"Hurry and get away from me!"
Various voices suddenly emerged, and Stanley could feel those he had devoured beginning to awaken!
"What have you... done..." Stanley uttered with difficulty, because not only within him, but his surroundings were also encircled by all sorts of people and beasts.
These people and beasts glared at him with hostility, inching closer step by step.
His traps and mechanisms were crushed by the multitude of people and beasts.
"These are the ones whose freedom you plundered; they want to reclaim their former selves through you." Igor said, his voice clear and powerful.
This sentence soon reached Stanley’s ears. He never imagined that after transcending life and death, he’d face such an outcome.
The ending before rebirth was replaying... those beasts devoured his flesh, gnawed his bones... even now it was the same.
More galling was the fact that he had to watch helplessly!
"I am immortal, I am immortal!" Stanley shouted frantically.
"I am reborn, the chosen one!"
His calls, no matter how loud and bright, were to no avail, for those opposing him couldn’t care less.
"Return us..."
This was the most frequently shouted phrase among the crowd, which included the giant Amoon, Alchemist Smitt, dwarf Douglas, a monkey that could fly, a snake with glowing eyes...
Everything he once controlled now rushed towards him one by one.
He couldn’t move, because even the Spirit Power sustaining his rebirth was rebelling against him!
Is this the result?
He shouted loudly, seeking an answer.
Is this the result of my rebirth?
But no one could answer his question...
He looked around, wanting to ask the youth responsible for all this happening a question.
But the youth was nowhere to be found...
