Quinn was now a bit caught in a dilemma; he suddenly found it so, so hard to continue hiding.

He really wanted to return to his original form and become the Clown who reigned above all at the Circus, but the current setting seemed to prevent him from doing so. He still needed to maintain this identity of a newcomer and get close to the two young men.

Why he needed to get close to the two youths—he couldn’t understand it!

Initially, he planned to take down the two youths quietly, but it seemed that plan just wouldn’t work now!

These two youths aren’t ordinary people, and normal luring tactics wouldn’t work!

Thinking about it made Quinn feel an impulse to reject his entire plan. He thought he had been too careless, not taking these two youths seriously at all. Now it appeared these two were far from ordinary and couldn’t be dealt with using ordinary means.

Quinn felt a bit indecisive, wondering whether to keep up his secret identity.

The Igor in front seemed somewhat simple, easy to be led astray, but that blue-skinned fellow didn’t buy it!

What should be done, reveal his cards, or continue to bear it?

The carriage was still steadily moving forward, the journey to the next destination was still far, and traveling from this city to another was not a task done in mere moments.

Watching Brava who was driving the carriage up front, Quinn began to calm down. He knew that the most important task now was to get the Spirit Core of the Craftsman Spirit.

The Puppet Master he sent out had no news so far, and there hadn’t been any instructions from above. He could only make his own judgment and continue executing the previous mission.

If the Puppet Master could bring back the Craftsman Spirit, and if he obtained another Craftsman Spirit, surely their leader would be delighted...

Thinking of this, Quinn’s heart settled.

Enduring humiliation for the sake of their leader’s recognition, the leader had given him a chance at rebirth, and he must repay the leader. Now, a great opportunity lay ahead.

The Spirit Core of the Craftsman Spirit; that was the most important thing, all other matters could wait.

Quinn’s purpose for being on this carriage was for the Craftsman Spirit, so he must not be swayed, and he must carry out the plan step by step.

Quinn was unaware that the Puppet Master they sent out had already been defeated by the very Igor and Kadi in front of him!

Their leader hadn’t told him about this; clearly, the leader was merely using them.

An air of silence filled the carriage. Quinn found it hard to speak, and Igor and Kadi had nothing to say to him. There was mutual distrust, no one dared speak rashly for fear of slipping up and revealing any flaws.

This silence stretched on for a long time until the entire Circus convoy stopped to rest, and only then did they speak a word.

"Let’s get out and rest," Igor said to Quinn, "It’s time to eat!"

This simple sentence showed Igor’s friendliness. Quinn responded with a smile, thinking he should still use the old ways with these two youths; perhaps they might be of great help.

The Circus apprentices began to start a fire for cooking. When Igor and the others went to get their meals, the apprentices gave them disdainful looks.

Now, the entire Circus regarded Igor and the others as outcasts, giving them no friendly faces.

Moreover, the food given to Igor and the others was scant and poor quality, either burnt or bland...

Kadi was very dissatisfied; he couldn’t accept such treatment.

"We’re all part of the Circus, so why is the food we get this stuff!"

"You can choose not to eat it!" The apprentices ignored Kadi’s complaints; in their eyes, newcomers had no status.

Kadi was furious. He wanted to hit someone, but Igor held him back.

"This is really going too far!" Kadi was still indignant as he was pulled away.

"Don’t get excited!" Igor patted Kadi’s shoulder and secretly communicated with him in code.

Igor told Kadi not to get too excited for the moment, to stick closely with Brava, since Quinn hadn’t moved away from him.

Kadi wanted to complain more, but upon receiving Igor’s message, he quieted down.

He took the burnt bread and went over to Brava’s side...

Brava, unlike them, didn’t go to the apprentices. He was there starting his own fire...

This scene left Igor and Kadi stunned, who knew one could do that. Although Quinn tried hard to approach Brava, Brava seemed wary and kept his distance. Whenever Quinn got close, Brava moved further away.

It was this factor that Brava’s fire hadn’t gotten going yet.

"Boss, what are you doing?" Kadi asked curiously.

"He’s starting a fire to cook by himself!" Quinn warmly answered, "But he doesn’t want my help..."

"I wasn’t asking you, why are you piping up?" Kadi gave Quinn an irritated look.

"I didn’t know we could cook for ourselves too!" Igor was trying to make peace from the side.

Brava glanced over at them, cautiously lighting the fire. This state was clearly the Clown Performer; the previously arrogant Brava had been suppressed.

Quinn could also sense Brava was being suppressed; he felt a bit excited, he never expected this Craftsman Spirit could completely suppress Brava. In his mind, Craftsman Spirits had no combat capability, and Brava was a powerhouse able ranked in the top five of the entire Circus. Such combat ability couldn’t be suppressed by someone without combat strength!

Yet the truth lay before him; the Craftsman Spirit had indeed suppressed the forceful Brava, even momentarily suppressing him was a miracle.

This Clown Performer clearly didn’t reject Igor and Kadi; he was okay with their help.

Soon, Kadi tossed aside the burnt bread because this Clown Performer really had a decent amount of ingredients...

It’s unbelievable how someone could live so strongly while being cast out, relying wholly on themselves without depending on others.

Quinn watched them closely, seeing them as wealth he intended to slowly gather up.

Igor and Kadi were indulging in the joys of self-sufficiency when a very low voice sounded again.

"Help me! Save me!"
