Chapter 1183 - 1179: The Maker of Spirit Entities (Part 1)
The Spirit Book began their narration in the tone of an elder.
"It is said that, a long, long time ago, we did not yet exist..."
"Can you just stick to the point and spare me the nonsense?" Igor was a bit anxious; he didn’t want to hear a lengthy tale, so he rudely interrupted the books’ performance.
"There’s always a cause and effect in matters, you have to allow us to finish." The Spirit Book retorted.
These Spirit Books hadn’t quarreled with Igor for quite some days. During the peaceful period, they indeed became good partners, but the current argument indicated that the secrets hidden on Kadi were indeed significant.
"Now, I want to know the outcome; I want to know why you fear Kadi so much. You haven’t had these emotions before, so why now suddenly?" Igor refused to back down; he didn’t want a long story before learning why the Spirit Books were wary of Kadi.
"The process is very important, I believe it’s necessary to discuss it first!" The Spirit Book remained stubborn.
"Please, this process of yours will take forever. You just started with ’a long, long time ago,’ how long is this going to take?" Igor frowned; he felt time was too precious to be wasted on storytelling.
Yet the four Spirit Books still didn’t reach an accord with Igor, continuing their back-and-forth, each clinging to their own views.
"Why do you all fear me?" Kadi asked softly from the side.
Kadi’s words instantly silenced the Spirit Books, as if their fear of Kadi surpassed everything else.
They still succumbed before power; these Spirit Books were previously firm, asserting their views, and now, they fell silent as if they were lambs awaiting slaughter.
"Speak up, what are you stunned for?" Kadi spoke again, with slightly more emotion than before.
With Kadi’s words, the Spirit Books completely abandoned resistance; in the face of Kadi’s fear, they showed not a hint of defiance, making Igor feel they were all spineless!
"You possess the power to devour Spirit Entities; we Spirit Books are merely small Spirit Entities and cannot withstand your devouring power!"
Spirit Entity, devouring power—these were terms familiar to Igor.
Hearing this, Kadi was a bit dazed, not quite understanding it.
"So, what were we talking about earlier..." The Spirit Book muttered, seemingly dissatisfied with their look of submission due to power.
"The formation of you Spirit Books is indeed a miracle, but why does Kadi have the power to devour your forces?" Knowing the outcome, Igor was suddenly filled with many questions that he had to voice.
The formation of Spirit Books results from remnants of Spirit Power. It can be said it’s a continuation of the predecessors’ Spirit Power. After experiencing Guru Mountain and the Border Realm, Igor understood these Spirit Power continuations were merely awakening the spirits of that world. However, this time, it’s not humans awakening the spirits, but what humans left behind—a part of human intent, and this intent is strong enough to awaken a portion of those spirits from that world.
When spirits and books combine, they form Spirit Books, and the intent lingering on the book directly converts into Spirit Entities.
Powerful intent is the foremost condition for forming Spirit Books.
That means Kadi manifests a force that can devour intent, causing the spirits associated with the Spirit Books to be thoroughly defeated and return to that world to sleep again.
Igor slowly voiced his conjecture, not expecting Kadi to understand, but hoping the Spirit Books would give him affirmation, for if his deduction was correct, he could use recent happenings to slowly deduce what the hidden enemy was pursuing.
The Spirit Books reacted with surprise since many elements were unclear to them, though Igor’s deductions confirmed aspects within them. This combination of spirit and intent forms their understanding of Igor’s explanation.
"What you said seems reasonable, but now we’re Spirit Books, no longer those spirits you mentioned!"
Upon hearing this, Igor seemed deep in thought, feeling he might have grasped another new concept.
"Many things gradually form; after the combination we are something new, though remnants linger within us." The Spirit Book continued.
Kadi was confused; he didn’t know what Igor and the others were discussing. Initially, the discussion concerned him, but now, suddenly, they were discussing profound matters he couldn’t comprehend.
"You mean, you’re now a new Spirit Power, completely unrelated to those awakened spirits!" Igor suddenly seemed to understand something.
"You can understand it that way!" The Spirit Book responded.
If that’s the case, Igor thought many things weren’t what they had imagined.
Initially, he solely believed that Soul Devourers were a method for intent to occupy others’ bodies through Spirit Power; however, he now had a new understanding.
Some Soul Devourers might be such, but others might be more advanced, like those Spirit Books, already capable of breaking free from spirits summoned and controlling a power themselves. Perhaps, the invisible enemy was also such.
"Our emergence was accidental, but if you continue exploring, new discoveries might await." The Spirit Books continued, composed of Lord Soron’s works, containing his lingering intent and Spirit Power; much of their understanding resulted from Soron’s exploration.
"Lord Soron’s journey didn’t end, and he went to the Eternal Tranquility Realm, leaving residual regrets upon us." The Spirit Book quietly stated, revealing perhaps another significant secret.
"These regrets must be unlocked by others, only those who can understand us possess the qualification to unlock them!"
"And you, Igor, precisely at this moment, have unlocked the regrets on Lord Soron’s journey!"
"This exceeds our imagination! We thought you wouldn’t engage with these forces yet, but facts prove us wrong!"
