Chapter 1141 - 1137: We Just Want to Be Wandering Bards
The subtle "help me" naturally reached the ears of Kadi and Igor.
This voice made Kadi’s whole body start to boil with excitement; it was a huge challenge for him. He had only known how to cause trouble before, but now he finally had a new opportunity—to rescue someone!
Igor was also excited beyond measure. This sentence directly confirmed all his previous suspicions, making last night’s exploration worthwhile.
However, Igor knew they couldn’t openly confront the entire circus just yet, because Brava’s power was still strong. At least last night, this power forcibly squeezed Igor out, and he could still feel the pain in his neck.
After Brava whispered the subtle "help me," he returned to his original clown form.
"Get away from me, I have nothing for you to learn, don’t come near me!"
Instantly, this person transformed into a ruthless demeanor, catching Igor and Kadi a bit off guard.
Although they were somewhat prepared for this, the speed of the change was beyond their expectations.
Igor and Kadi reluctantly walked to the side, their faces full of regret.
"Haha, you tried to warm the cold shoulder!" The red-haired person mocked from the side, "I told you, but you didn’t listen. Now you’re shut out!"
"We just wanted to learn something from him!" Igor and Kadi said.
"Didn’t I tell you yesterday? From the top, we’re not getting any power. The only one who can grant us power is the ringmaster. Did you forget yesterday’s potion?"
"You took the potion?" Igor looked at them in surprise.
"No way, such precious stuff, how could we bear to use it? We’re saving it to take together later." The green-nosed man smiled, thinking this guy is too impatient to swallow a potion as soon as he got it.
"You don’t seem very satisfied!" Quinn came over, probing, seeing Igor and Kadi as constantly having a special purpose.
This was clearly suspicion toward Igor and Kadi.
Kadi looked up at the big man, wondering why this guy always asked irrelevant questions. Satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the current situation was unrelated, why ask such strange questions?
"What do you mean by dissatisfied?" Kadi expressed this perplexity directly.
Quinn was obviously surprised by Kadi’s response; he didn’t expect Kadi to answer him like that.
"I mean your current state! Dissatisfied? Think about it, you just received the ringmaster’s reward yesterday!"
"Dissatisfied!" Kadi responded directly, which made Igor scratch his head.
Igor wondered what kind of lie Kadi would come up with, and how he would cooperate with him then.
Lying was incredibly frustrating; it would drive him crazy if this continued.
"What specifically are you dissatisfied with?" Quinn pressed on, causing Igor to nervously wipe sweat.
If Kadi didn’t handle this question well, their entire identity could collapse!
So Igor’s apprehension was understandable.
"There are too many things to be dissatisfied with!" Kadi shrugged, dismissing Quinn’s question, "Our purpose here is to gain the power to change our condition, which is that my brother has lost his memory!"
"Yes, I’m aware of that!" Quinn nodded, showing sympathy.
"Since you know, you should understand how we feel, you know?" Kadi didn’t show Quinn much courtesy, glaring at him boldly.
"Ugh..." Quinn was uncomfortable under the glare.
"You know, my wish is for my brother to regain his memory and be himself again, but coming here..." Kadi got angrier as he spoke, even though the story was fabricated, the emotions were genuine.
"Coming here, ha, the ringmaster lets us be clowns, which is fine, newcomers following his arrangement, but being clowns requires forgetting oneself, what kind of nonsense is this!"
Kadi’s cursing erupted, and Igor could feel Kadi’s anger; it seemed Kadi had a significant issue with not being able to be himself.
"Well, I’ve mentioned earlier that forgetting oneself is merely abandoning a code name..."
"Stop twisting things here!" Kadi angrily interrupted Quinn, seeing Quinn as somewhat abnormal, "Our purpose in joining the circus was to reclaim our memory, be ourselves again, not to forget ourselves. If it was to forget ourselves, we wouldn’t need to come here!"
"Exactly, exactly!" Kadi’s words resonated with Igor, leading him to speak in agreement.
This surprised Quinn a bit, considering things were fine yesterday, what changed today to cause such big emotions? Could these two really be suffering from memory loss?
Kadi continued with emotional fervor, unable to be himself was still very impactful for him, making him express genuine emotions.
This burst of genuine emotions stunned Quinn, who could discern these two hid something, but Kadi’s emotional outburst made distinguishing their actions difficult.
"Our aim for joining the circus was to be wandering bards again, now being required to forget ourselves is a joke!"
"Really incomprehensible, why demand us to forget ourselves, our goal is to remember ourselves!"
Kadi’s burst of rage threw the entire clown team into chaos, collapsing Quinn’s previous justification among them, leaving everyone bewildered on what to do.
Whether to forget themselves or continue being themselves, what should they do?
Kadi’s rage made the whole circus team pause.
Circus elites started whispering, naturally having much to discuss about the current happening, especially since it was occurring in the clown’s cart...
"Trouble again on the clown side!"
"Knew that Brava couldn’t be trusted!"
"Hehe, let’s see how the ringmaster handles it, Brava might be in trouble!"
"Really can’t make sense of what’s going on with Brava!"
"Watch closely, Brava might be gone after today!"
"However, the clown role should’ve been great, now turned into this mess..."
