One-Eyed Monster

Igor and the others stared at the Exchange Beast, unsure of what to do.

Should they look at this information, or should they not?

Reading this message would be an immoral act; snooping on someone else’s messages would be looked down upon, and Igor and Kadi fully understood this, which is why they hesitated.

They looked at each other, neither knowing what to do.

Kruz walked straight towards Stanley’s carriage. Representing the entire Circus, he wasn’t as hesitant as Igor and the others and simply picked up the pigeon.

"This doesn’t feel right!" Igor screamed, showing his disdain for such behavior.

"Yeah, doing this is like intruding on someone’s privacy!" Kadi chimed in, apparently being quite conscious about such things, as if the sky would fall down if this happened.

Kruz looked at them, puzzled by their current reactions.

"So what do you guys think I should do then?"

"Well, I don’t know." Igor waved his hand, indicating he couldn’t provide any suggestions.

"Yes, I also feel there’s no way to deal with this right now!" Kadi said, feeling bewildered, as if they had fallen into a dilemma.

Kruz lowered his head and petted the pigeon, not particularly concerned about Igor and Kadi’s comments.

"Let’s put it this way: the Circus needs to continue. It shouldn’t disband just because the leader and elites have disappeared. Even if I’m the only one left, I’ll persist."

Though Kruz’s words were a bit disjointed, Igor and Kadi still found them logical and were moved by his determination to keep running the Circus.

"You’re really incredible, Kruz!"

"If everyone was like you, the Circus would surely shine brighter!"

Kruz felt awkward from the praise of the two; he merely wanted to point out that Lord Bern’s letter needed to be read and couldn’t be ignored.

However, the situation suddenly turned into praising him, which made him uncomfortable.

"What I mean is, if the Circus is to continue, we must read this letter!"

"Hmm?" Igor and Kadi showed surprised expressions, finding it difficult to accept, "Why do we have to read this letter? It’s not meant for us; we shouldn’t just read it."

"So, should we not read it?" Kruz looked at Igor and Kadi, puzzled.

"Yes, because Stanley has already gone to the Eternal Tranquility Realm, the letter should follow him!" Igor stated, and no matter what Igor said, Kadi found it reasonable, nodding continuously.

"The letter is for the Circus. Stanley was the leader, so it was given to him to read. Now, with me being the only one left in the Circus, I think I need to read the letter on behalf of the Circus!" Kruz insisted once again.

This time, Igor and Kadi found Kruz’s reasoning very sensible.

After all, Kruz is now the acting leader of the Circus. They can’t just return the Circus’s letter because there is no official leader.

Furthermore, you can’t simply return this Mail Bird’s message.

If this message isn’t read, the Mail Bird will remain there until the sender thinks something’s amiss and recalls it; only then will the Mail Bird return, otherwise, even if the recipient dies, the Mail Bird will find their grave and deliver the message.

However, these Mail Birds have encrypted spells, and without being the recipient, it’s tough to open and read the message...

Therefore, Igor and Kadi now faced a problem: how was Kruz going to open the letter?

Using force could open it, but if the Mail Bird is destroyed, the sender will know the message was leaked...

Igor figured if he were to open it himself, it would take some effort; he might end up destroying the Mail Bird!

Hence, they were quite worried about Kruz, concerned whether he’d be able to open the letter with his strength.

However, unexpectedly to Igor and Kadi, Kruz opened the Mail Bird’s message effortlessly.

The Mail Bird flapped its wings and zigzagged away, its straightforward departure indicated it hadn’t received any information to take back a reply, leaving Igor and Kadi shocked.

"You actually know the spell!" Kadi stared at Kruz in disbelief.

"Stanley often has us handle opened letters, and Lord Bern’s letters generally aren’t about secret matters—they mostly instruct us on where to get supplies or perform..."

"I see..." Igor was also puzzled, surprised that information within the Circus was so shared in this regard.

Actually, Kruz’s memory of this aspect was left by Brava; now that Brava had gone to rest, the remnants of him within Kruz didn’t vanish.

"What does the letter say?" Kadi asked with curiosity.

"Heh, didn’t you just say sneaking peeks at others’ information is unethical!" Kruz couldn’t resist teasing Igor and Kadi.

"Now it’s the Circus’ information, we’re all part of the Circus, so it’s not sneaking, is it?" Igor defended.

"Alright, alright, you’re both right." Kruz handed them the letter directly.

Igor and Kadi curiously took the letter and started reading.

"This should be an instruction from Lord Bern, but I don’t quite understand it." Kruz then said, truly baffled by the letter’s contents.

Instructions? Igor and Kadi were surprised upon reading the letter. The letter didn’t seem to say anything specific, only a few simple lines.

Those lines surprised Igor because they mentioned the Craftsman Spirit.

The words were, the Yonder Travel Academy has opened a Craftsman’s major, so why haven’t I heard anything about the Craftsman Spirit?

Just those simple words.

Igor and Kadi’s guesses were correct; indeed, Lord Bern was the mastermind, but this letter seemed odd.

However, a complaint and accusatory message shouldn’t be aimed at Stanley...

This should be a message for Clown Quinn!

Yet, why did the letter end up here? This was a question worth pondering.

Could it be that Lord Bern is very knowledgeable about Circus executors, or do they have other means of communication?

The letter left Igor deep in thought.
