Lord Popovich arrived at the scene surrounded by a group of League Guards.

The cheers of the crowd were blocked by the Court of Guards’ human wall, inside which only Igor and Kadi stood.

"This is an unfamiliar face!" Squad Captain Haas said to the lords.

Popovich closely examined, then sighed, "What must come will always come, didn’t expect it so soon."

The Court Chief and other League Guards didn’t quite understand the sentiment of Lord Popovich, but they all remained in a state of readiness, not knowing what the lord would instruct them to do next.

Court Chief Est and League Guards’ Captain Bruto had been on high alert these days.

Est and Bruto stayed close to Lord Popovich as instructed by Lord Governor to protect him during this period. After all, after Xinbal’s secretary Benjamin had an incident, everyone affiliated with the church was listed in the Alchemy Workshop’s grey list, facing potential threats at any time. Initially, Popovich’s mood was stable, seemingly unfazed by Xinbal’s change. But a few days ago, Popovich received a special Mail Bird carrying an encrypted letter, appearing to be a coded language among scholars. After reading it, Popovich’s emotions became volatile.

Bruto, having followed Lord Popovich for a long time, understood his mood swings as a sign of anxiety, as if the letter conveyed crucial information making him anxious.

Now, seeing this unfamiliar corpse, Lord Popovich sighed, suggesting a confirmation of his prior anxieties!

Even though Bruto didn’t understand what bizarre event had occurred, he knew it wouldn’t be something easy to handle.

Judging from these two strange outsiders, Bruto knew the matter wasn’t simple.

Lord Popovich’s sigh urged the Court of Guards to process the scene promptly, with Igor and Kadi being escorted to Popovich’s side by several League Guards.

The residing people of Bistal City were dismissed by Popovich’s few words, returning to their loungers to enjoy the precious twilight, while shops damaged by the monster were being registered by the Court of Guards, with Bistal City’s Administrative Office compensating the losses!

The Star Circus people were set aside, seemingly forgotten by the Court of Guards. They understood that it was because the Court hadn’t fully grasped Igor and Kadi, so after interrogating them, they would naturally turn to the circus. Thus, the circus folks waited patiently.

Igor and Kadi found it strange that Court of Guards members made a fuss over a corpse.

"You came here for the Circus affair?"—Popovich spoke before Igor could respond.

"Uh, how do you know!" Clearly, Igor was a bit startled by Popovich’s divination-like ability.

"I’m a scholar, why shouldn’t I know?" Popovich smiled, appreciating Igor’s innocence.

"Why should we follow you?" Kadi displayed a sense of defiance, unwilling to follow someone easily.

"You need to provide us a suitable reason!"

"Ha ha ha, it’s the first time my request has been refused." Lord Popovich laughed again.

Surrounding League Guards and Court members looked down on Igor like a monkey.

In the entire Kayne Empire, Lord Popovich was considered one of the top scholars, adding his ancient family traits, no one would decline his invitation.

This lord, though not in Scholar Commons, held higher status than its president, thanks to his family’s legacy as scholars.

His family and many of his discoveries were countless, beyond measure.

"What’s so odd?" Igor and Kadi were puzzled by the gaze fixed upon them.

"Can you trust a stranger easily?"

Igor and Kadi looked around perplexed, finding it all unusual.

"Indeed, one shouldn’t trust the unknown readily, especially a stranger. However, look at this, then decide whether to come with me." Lord Popovich extracted a tiny letter, evidently delivered by a Mail Bird.

Igor took the letter, his mouth gaping in astonishment.

"Surprised by Dean Hoffman’s handwriting, or familiar with his marks?!" Popovich continued smiling.

"Uh, just surprised!" Igor explained.

"Then, will you come with me?"

"Uh, naturally!" Igor scratched his head, a bit embarrassed.

Kadi curiously took the letter from Igor, inspecting it closely.

"Are you sure?" Kadi asked, looking at Igor.

"Yes, it’s a signed letter from Dean Hoffman, I am sure." Igor, having spent a long time at Yonder Travel Academy, was familiar with Dean Hoffman’s habits.
