Meanwhile, back at the penthouse, Eric and Heidi had just finished their "shower and nap" together and were sitting on the living room sofa. Eric looked like he still couldn’t believe what had just happened, while Heidi pulled her legs up and leaned her entire body against his chest as he wrapped his arm around her. Both of their chests were still rising and falling, their breathing still a little shallow. Eric looked down at Heidi, who now looked completely refreshed in his arms.

"Why are they taking so long?" Eric asked.

"It’s a good thing, isn’t it... earlier they said they were going to hit the cafe downstairs for a bit to unwind after the gym," Heidi replied casually.

"Why didn’t you go with them?" Eric asked curiously.

"Hmm... honestly, I didn’t get enough sleep last night and wanted to take a nap first... so I figured I’d shower and go straight to bed... but now I’m wide awake again, hehe," Heidi said with a smile.

Then Heidi turned and kissed Eric on the cheek, before leaning back and snuggling even closer into his embrace. Naturally, Eric’s heart was racing now. He felt the exact same way about Chloe, Laura, and now Heidi, making it incredibly difficult for him to decide who he would end up with, because he now realized he shared the same feelings for all three of them and felt a growing urge to spend his life with all three.

But he knew it was impossible to marry all three at once. Not only did the law forbid it, but it would also look completely unethical in the eyes of society. Naturally, this gave him a massive headache, especially since Chloe and Laura had no idea that Heidi’s status was now exactly the same as theirs.

"Uh... if only the law allowed polygamy... aaah... Katie’s words are replaying in my head again, what absolute trash luck," Eric thought to himself.

"Hey... why did you suddenly go quiet, dear?" Heidi asked, turning around and looking up into Eric’s face.

"It’s nothing... but there is one thing I’m curious about. You said you weren’t as innocent as the others, what did you mean by that?" Eric asked, intrigued.

"Oh... you’re curious about that?" Heidi asked with a teasing smile.

"Yeah... I am," Eric replied, mostly just looking for a conversation starter but decided to follow through with it.

"Hmm... as you know, my dad’s a doctor and my mom’s a doctor. They have tons of biology books at home... since I was a kid, I loved reading their books, and that’s how I learned about sex. At first, I didn’t really get it, but when I accidentally watched something on the internet... I started getting curious and tried it myself. So... even though that was my body’s first time, it definitely wasn’t my mind’s first time, hehe," Heidi answered casually and upfront.

"Oh, I see," Eric said.

Hearing Eric’s somewhat flat response, Heidi spun around and sat straight up. She then shifted over to sit on Eric’s lap, facing him directly. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and kissed him passionately. Naturally, Eric didn’t stop her; instead, he rested his hands on her waist. Once they broke the kiss, Heidi looked at him with a flushed, lustful face.

"Want to go again?" Heidi asked teasingly.

"We shouldn’t... it’ll be a mess if they come back," Eric answered.

"Let’s just go to your office, then," Heidi suggested.

"Uhm... do you really want to go again?" Eric asked, checking one more time to make sure.

Heidi didn’t answer. Instead, she kissed him passionately again, and naturally, that kiss was all the answer he needed. Eric then lifted Heidi up as she wrapped her legs around his waist, and he carried her toward his home office.

Not long after, the rolling melodies of a keyboard, drums, and guitar began drifting out from Eric’s office. The rhythm was completely intense, packed with passion but also laced with a deep sense of confusion and a burning desire to have it all. It was a beautiful melody, vastly different from any piece Eric had ever produced before. About an hour later,

"Ting,"

The elevator doors slid open, and Emma, Chloe, Monica, Priya, and Laura stepped out in high spirits, all of them still wearing sports bras layered under jersey jackets piped with yoga pants. As they walked in, they caught the sound of the beautiful rhythm echoing through the living room, clearly originating from Eric’s office. The five girls froze dead in their tracks, listening closely to the new melody that was visibly hammering against their chests.

"Wow... is this Eric’s new song?" Monica asked.

"Yeah... the rhythm is incredible... it might even be better than Betrayal Enigma... and it feels... more intimate," Priya replied.

"Totally... a melody full of hidden passion... Eric really is amazing," Emma added, still completely transfixed.

Then Emma, Monica, and Priya turned to look at Chloe and Laura behind them. The three were startled to see Chloe and Laura looking completely dazed, their bodies swaying slightly as their hands started drifting over their own bodies, their faces flushed as if they were suddenly overheating.

"Hey... what’s up with you guys?" Monica asked.

"Uh... it’s nothing," Chloe replied, instantly snapping back to reality.

"Yeah... don’t worry about us," Laura added, quickly composing herself as well.

Emma, Monica, and Priya kept studying Chloe and Laura, whose faces were bright red as they tried to look away, avoiding their friends’ eyes. But Emma, Monica, and Priya quickly stopped paying attention to them because they heard the melody repeating from the beginning. They all walked to their rooms to check inside, and in just five minutes, they came back out.

"Wait, where’s Heidi? How come she’s not in her room? Is she in the next room over?" Priya asked.

"Not there either," Chloe answered, standing in front of her door.

"Hmm," the five girls instantly started brainstorming, and then they turned their eyes toward Eric’s office next to his room. They immediately walked up to the office door. Emma gripped the handle and nodded at the others. "Click," Emma opened the door and peeked inside, but "blam," Monica, Priya, Chloe, and Laura suddenly shoved Emma all the way into the room.

Eric looked up to see the five girls and spun his gaming chair around. A smile played on his lips as he checked out the girls, who were still in their yoga pants.

"Oh, you’re back?" Eric asked, smiling.

"Yeah... just got in... where’s Heidi?" Emma asked.

Eric simply pointed his thumb at the adjacent wall, gesturing toward his bedroom. The five girls immediately filed back out, closing the door behind them, and walked to the next room to open it. "Snore... snore..." they saw Heidi fast asleep in Eric’s bed, a blanket covering her entire body. Not wanting to wake their friend, the five girls backed out and shut the door quietly.

They headed back into Eric’s office, walking up close to him. As it turned out, Eric really was hard at work using his keyboard and jotting down the lyrics to his song.

"Wow... a new song already?" Emma asked, leaning down to plant a quick kiss on his cheek.

"Yeah, what do you think?" Eric asked, his eyes locked onto the monitor without turning around.

"It’s killer... right, guys?" Emma asked the rest of the group.

"Yep, totally... the melody really stirs up your emotions, even if it’s heavy," Monica replied.

"What’s the title?" Priya asked.

"Hmm... haven’t settled on one yet, but I have a general idea since the theme of the track is passion, freedom, and raw emotion... so the title is Passionate Resonance," Eric answered.

"Oh... makes sense," Chloe said, leaning down slightly next to Eric’s chair to look at the computer screen in front of him.

"I totally get the song," Laura added, also leaning in a bit to check out the screen right next to Chloe.

"Want to hear it again? It’s completely finished, lyrics included," Eric said as he handed the lyric sheet over to Monica.

Monica took it and scanned it immediately. Her eyes went wide as she read through the lines, her face flushing slightly.

"Wow... these lyrics are absolutely packed with passion... and a little scandalous... I love it," Monica said.

"Let me see, pass it here," Priya, Emma, Chloe, and Laura said enthusiastically.

"Alright... you guys check it out first, I’m heading out to the restroom real quick," Eric said, standing up.

"Okay," the five girls replied.

Eric walked out of his office. The second he closed the door, he dashed straight into the next room, his bedroom. He shut the door and clicked the lock, then immediately rushed over to the sleeping Heidi. He pulled back the blanket, revealing that Heidi was completely naked underneath. He quickly dressed Heidi in one of his t-shirts and pulled her underwear back on. After that, he let out a massive sigh of relief seeing her asleep and fully clothed.

"Phew... good thing nobody thought to pull back the blanket earlier," Eric thought to himself, completely relieved.
