Chapter 163: Exposed and Cornered

Ruby, having recently survived a terrifying ordeal just a few weeks prior, stayed on high alert and refused to act recklessly. Especially now, having read what Jason intended to do to their father and seeing his current unhinged state right in front of her, she took a step back. Her hand, buried inside her bag clutching her smartphone, pressed a speed dial key for help. Naturally, Jason, looking completely out of his mind, took a step forward. He caught sight of the car behind Ruby and sneered.

"Where’s that BMW you threw a crying fit to Dad for?" Jason asked mockingly.

"None of your business," Ruby answered curtly, her voice trembling slightly.

"Why are you so scared of me? Usually you just pop off at the mouth with me and don’t give a damn about my feelings," Jason said, closing the distance.

"Back off... don’t take another step... or I’ll..."

Blam!

Jason slammed his hand against the car right past Ruby’s head, cutting her sentence short. He brought his face close to hers, and she was instantly hit with the stench of alcohol mixed with cologne.

"Or you’ll what? Scream? I’m your brother. No matter how you report this, if I tell them I just came to check on you and persuade you to come home, they’ll think you’re the problem, not me," Jason said with a twisted smirk, his handsome face looking downright vicious in that moment.

"W... what do you want?" Ruby asked, trembling.

"Tell Dad to strip your name and Eric’s off his will and write mine down, or you’ll be the one paying the price," Jason answered, his threat crystal clear.

"You’re threatening... me and Dad?" Ruby asked, shaking.

"Haha... not just you and Dad... your beloved brother too... Oh, have you told him yet that you jerk off to photos of him?" Jason asked maliciously, a cruel smile breaking across his face.

"Sh... shut your mouth," Ruby said, humiliated and shocked to her core at how Jason could possibly know her secret.

"Looks like I touched a nerve. I suggest you hurry up and do what I want by talking to Dad, or I’ll leak those secret photos of yours all over social media," Jason said in a low, threatening tone.

Ruby’s face turned white with dread. She knew precisely what Jason was driving at. But before Jason could push things any further,

"Hey!"

Jason turned to look behind him. There stood Emma, Chloe, Monica, Priya, Heidi, and Laura, who appeared to be on a call. Jason’s smile widened. He turned around to face the six girls, while Ruby ducked and darted behind them for cover.

"Well, well... looks like all of Eric’s little slut brigade is gathered together. No wonder you go to school here, Ruby," Jason said mockingly.

The six girls, who hadn’t previously known what Jason looked like, felt their jaws clench with fury the moment Eric’s name came out of his mouth. Emma smirked and stepped to the front.

"Hoh... so you’re Eric’s brother, the source of all the trouble, a pathetic excuse for a man who’s all talk and zero action," Emma taunted.

Hearing Emma’s words, the smile completely vanished from Jason’s face. He glared at Emma as if he wanted to swallow her whole.

"Who the hell are you? I’ve never seen you before. I’ve seen the others plenty of times... Oh right, you were the substitute member at the beach festival, weren’t you?" Jason snapped.

"Yep... that’s me, and I couldn’t care less about being remembered by a total loser like you who can only steal things without ever building anything of his own," Emma shot back, laying it on thicker.

"I heard you have a bad temper. Why don’t you try hitting one of us right here? I’d love to see what happens next," Chloe added, standing right next to Emma.

"Don’t have the guts, do you? Guess you only act tough around Ruby, your mom, the ex-girlfriend you stole from Eric, and your cousin. You don’t even have the balls to face Eric directly, you just scheme behind his back. What a pathetic coward," Monica chimed in, stepping up beside Emma.

"We already know the whole story, so spare us the excuses. As far as any of us are concerned, you’re not even worthy of looking Eric in the eye, let alone approaching him," Priya added, stepping up beside Chloe.

"Yeah... there are plenty of pathetic men in this world, but your place is way beneath them," Heidi chimed in, stepping beside Monica.

"Don’t worry, every word out of your mouth has been recorded. Threatening Ruby won’t work either, it’s useless. Besides... how did my uncle’s greeting suit you yesterday? Seems like landing you in the hospital wasn’t enough. How about ending up in a grave next time?" Laura asked, stepping right to the very front, standing directly in front of Jason while holding up her smartphone.

Laura played back Jason’s recent threats to Ruby from start to finish, causing his face to turn slightly pale. As it turned out, Ruby had called Laura from inside her bag, and Laura had recorded the whole thing. Jason clenched his jaw, his face flushing red, but this time he didn’t dare act recklessly. He knew all too well that the six girls standing in front of him weren’t average girls he could easily overpower with his manhood or wealth.

He tried to calm himself down and keep his emotions in check, seeing as his plan to corner Ruby had completely failed.

"Okay... okay... please delete that recording. I just got carried away. This is just a family matter that has nothing to do with anyone else," Jason said, trying to suppress his rage.

Hearing Jason’s words, broad smirks broke out on the faces of Emma, Chloe, Monica, Priya, Heidi, and Laura, who stood firmly at the front.

"Scared, aren’t you? Don’t want to go back to a cell?" Laura asked.

"There’s no daddy to bail him out this time. And if you say this is a family matter, well, Eric and Ruby are family to all of us," Emma added.

"Hell yeah. This time, once you go behind bars, guaranteed you’re not coming back out," Monica chimed in.

"Don’t worry, we’ll make sure you get the best accommodations in prison," Priya added.

"Just remember your stay in jail for breaking that restraining order. Pretty cozy, wasn’t it? Free meals, no need for an inheritance," Heidi added.

"Honestly, instead of hanging around here talking nonsense, you’d better go find yourself a lawyer right now, because we are definitely dragging this out," Chloe added.

Jason choked up. Without even realizing it, his hands balled into tight fists, the veins popping on his forehead. He was ready to blow up right then and there at the six girls standing their ground in front of him. But before he could make a move, a hand landed on his shoulder from behind. Two suspicious-looking guys wearing face masks and sunglasses walked up to him.

"That’s enough, bro. We only came here to drop a friendly reminder for your sister, right?" one of the men said.

"Yeah, let me get out of here. Our business here is done," the other man added.

Jason turned to look at the two men, who were evidently his friends. With a heavy sigh, huh, he turned around and walked away toward the main exit gate, flanked by the two sketchy guys behind him. Emma, Chloe, Monica, Priya, Heidi, Laura, and Ruby kept their eyes glued to Jason as he walked off without so much as a backward glance.

"Haaah."

Emma, Chloe, Monica, Priya, Heidi, and Laura all let out a collective sigh of relief. Their bodies, which had been stiff as boards just seconds ago, immediately relaxed. They turned to face Ruby.

"Are you alright?" Emma asked.

"I’m fine... Thank you... I just hit a random speed dial and luckily it connected to Laura’s phone," Ruby answered in relief.

"Yep... lucky for you, it was Laura you called. She’s the only one who thought to record everything," Monica said.

"Don’t worry, we get what happened, and that threat just now doesn’t mean a damn thing," Priya added.

"Um... thank you, everyone," Ruby said, forcing a faint smile.

"No problem at all. Like Emma said, we’re all family here, but there is one crucial question we need to ask you," Heidi said.

Heidi glanced over at Laura, who instantly caught the drift. Laura hit play on the recording once more, and this time Ruby’s face went instantly ghost-white. She knew exactly what was coming next as all six girls locked their eyes onto her with complete seriousness.

"Why were you jerking off to photos of Eric, your own brother?" Chloe asked.

"Mind explaining the reasoning behind that?" Emma added.

Hearing the question from Chloe and Emma, on top of feeling the intense stares from all six girls at once, Ruby was completely rendered speechless. Her face flushed bright red and she looked like she was about to burst into tears out of sheer embarrassment, wishing the ground would just open up and swallow her whole.
