"Skill stones?" Cavin raised his eyebrows, "All those in the [Trading House] get sold very quickly, so your best bet would be for them to drop from monsters."

"Do you know any monsters who might drop some, even if the drop rate is abysmal?" Leon continued, pressing for information.

"Hm..." Cavin scratched his chin, "Ah, there might be some, but I have no idea where, why would you even want that? It’s not like you’ll get any of them, I killed thousands of monsters here and only a few ever dropped skill stones."

"Just wanted to know about the surroundings," Leon replied with a smile, "Anyway, I’ll bring you that Stronghold Crystal."

Leon used the [World Map] to teleport out of the central building back to the hotel, appearing in his room with a flash of light.

"Well, even if he doesn’t," Cavin turned around, a demonic smile on his face as he observed his guild members, "We’re close enough at this point, start to prepare for the Monster Tide, it’ll be the most terrifying of them all."

"Yes sir!" all of the members nodded, "We’ll also inform the others and get them ready!"

Cavin walked toward the window behind his seat, gazing over the entirety of his stronghold, his eyes scanning the city he had built.

"All these years, all this building, all for this moment," he mumbled, "Truly, this will be incredible."

"Are you excited or scared, sir?" Empress stood beside Cavin, "I have a bad feeling about this, after all, a Level 6 Monster Tide means that..."

"Yes," Cavin cut her off, "The other gods may be able to send some of their own to test us, but it doesn’t matter, we’ll rise above all and stand with our own faction."

"Yes!" Empress looked at Cavin with almost fanatic eyes, "I’m sure we’ll succeed as soon as this human pest brings us the last crystal!"

"Indeed," Cavin nodded, his gaze fixed on the horizon.

Back to Leon, he stood in his hotel room, the three girls talking with one another, their voices filled with concern.

Once again, he told them everything that happened, and they seemed even more tense than before, their faces etched with worry.

"I thought we had grown stronger and yet... we still don’t stand a chance?" Emilia’s eyes widened, "But how are we supposed to do, we don’t have any more time!"

Grinding for Monster Essences took a long time between finding the monsters, but they didn’t have that long anymore, and sub-talent scrolls had a massive luck component to them that made them unreliable.

Meaning that their only other solution was to focus on what they could control directly.

"Our skills," Leon spoke as he gazed away from the window, "We’ll evolve all our skills to max level."

"Don’t we have like three days?" Violet asked, confused.

"Well," Leon smiled, "I have no idea where to find a [Stronghold Crystal], so I’ll have to return to [Higher Domain #3] to buy one from the market there."

"Oh," Emilia said, understanding the plan.

"I’ll check if there’s any items useful for us there, or if any monster in the [Exiled Lands] drop Skill Stones that we can grind for," Leon continued, his mind already working on the logistics.

Leon and his companions were too weak compared to their enemies, but he had the feeling that this wouldn’t be for too long if they could make the right moves.

Until now, every battle was won by the length of Leon’s hair, but he couldn’t allow that, especially against opponents overwhelmingly more powerful than him currently.

He needed to dominate the battle, and also prepare for the Monster Tide that was coming.

After talking about his future plans with the girls and laying out the strategy for the coming days, Leon opened his [World Map] and used the [Domain Travel] feature, the familiar interface appearing before his eyes with a soft glow.

"Shouldn’t we go with you?" Celeste asked, her voice filled with concern, "I mean, it could be dangerous to go alone..."

"Nah," Leon smiled, shaking his head reassuringly, "Just focus on increasing your level, I’ll come back tomorrow anyway as soon as the cooldown on the ability resets, this will leave us around two days here to figure out something and prepare properly."

"A-Alright," Celeste beamed, though her eyes still held a hint of worry, "Stay safe and don’t do anything reckless."

"I will," Leon promised, his voice steady.

He selected [Higher Domain #3], and his body turned into particles in front of the three girls as he disappeared, leaving them all in the chamber with a faint shimmer of light.

"Do you guys think he’ll succeed?" Emilia asked, a worried expression on her face, "It seems dangerous... and the Awakener Lord is there, he might cause problems..."

"No idea," Celeste shrugged, trying to hide her own concern.

As for Violet she simply looked at them with a confused expression, her brow furrowed, "I would love a summary about what happened in [Higher Domain #3]."

She wasn’t there with them after all, and realizing that, Emilia decided to tell her everything, settling in for a long explanation.

...

Fwoosh! Ding!

[You have arrived at "Higher Domain #3"]

Leon appeared in the main plaza of the [Awakener District] after teleporting, the familiar surroundings greeting him as he took a moment to orient himself.

He quickly headed toward the [Market] section of the [Awakener Association], navigating through the bustling crowds.

And unlike in the [Trading House] where such items were always snatched up immediately, it didn’t take long for him to find a [Stronghold Crystal] among the many halls and floors of this place.

[Stronghold Crystal (Mythical)]

[Price: 10,000,000 Eternal Coins]

---

It was indeed extremely expensive, a price that would make most players hesitate, but since Leon had sold a LOT of items over the past few weeks, he actually didn’t mind at all and could afford it without issue.

[Eternal Coins: 239,380,208]

Being a [Global Seller] in the [Trading House] truly had been incredible for his Eternal Coins supplies, allowing him to accumulate wealth at a rapid pace.

Ding!

He took it in hand and stored it in his inventory, the crystal pulsing with a faint warmth, meaning that he didn’t have to worry about the requiem guild’s quest any longer and could focus on other things.
