Chapter 84: Celebration II
"See, I knew the female would love it!"
"Yes! I know it. We’re going to spend our whole old days making more and more clothing for the female!" One of the elders announced as they all agreed.
The remaining brought forth the warm soup they had made for Ayra and the cub.
"You should take it while it’s warm. I learned a while back that it helps with the stomach to make more babies!" An elder said.
Ayra had no words. She simply nodded with a smile. "Thank you," she appreciated as the elders carried the little cub in their hands while they gave out their blessings to the female and the cub.
After they were done, other parties arrived as well. The chief cook rabbit had arrived with his team of cooks from the kitchen and they brought forth cooked meat.
Ayra hesitated as she stared at the meat they brought. It wasn’t as bad as the previous one they had made from the other day. But it still wasn’t the best.
Ayra smiled as she accepted it anyway. "Thanks. I’ll enjoy it."
"Boss, you wanted to prepare the same exact meat as the female made back then. I think you failed completely," one of the cooks said while staring at his meat.
The rabbit chief cook slapped him by the head. "Shut up. I wasn’t..."
Ayra smiled as she shook her head watching them bicker. "Thanks," she said.
The rabbit cleared his throat as he said, "Maybe when you’re free, you can visit me at the kitchen and prepare the meat again..." He casually said while still keeping a cool expression.
"Yes yes!" The cooks around agreed immediately. "We missed what you cooked! It was so good that we kept dreaming about it."
"Indeed. So please come and make it and also teach boss how to make it so he can stop burning meats while making attempts every day."
They had exposed their boss as he cast them a cold glare. "Shut up now or no meat for any of you for a week!"
They all closed their mouths, smiling inwardly as they stared at themselves.
The rabbit stared at her and said, "Don’t mind them at all. None of that happened..." He cleared his throat again. "But if you are free to come around, you could. And then you could maybe do some teaching..."
Ayra smiled as she nodded. "Okay okay. I understand. I’ll certainly come around soon."
The cooks jumped up in celebration and joy as the rabbit smiled happily. "Okay then. We’ll wait!"
The beastmen around stared at themselves surprised and confused.
"What do they mean? The female can cook?"
"I also heard so but I haven’t really tasted anything..."
Immediately one of the cooks said aloud, "Of course! She can make delicious meats that make your mouth literally water!"
Another said, "Yes yes. The first time I tasted the female’s food, I almost cried. I couldn’t see clearly for long because I was floating in beast heaven!"
"Me too! You all are missing a lot!"
They stared at themselves in disbelief, and curious.
One mentioned, "One time, the female had also made delicious meats for us around the fire..."
"Yes yes. It was most certainly delicious!" They praised.
The rest of the beastmen shook their heads in disbelief as they stared at Ayra.
"The female can heal, she can soothe, she is strong enough to drive away wild beastmen and now she can also cook?"
"She can even make delicious meats?!"
"And she can even bear cubs!"
"What can she not do?"
They were all impressed as they discussed amongst themselves in disbelief.
With a smile, they shook their heads as one said, "Female! I certainly want to taste your meal someday!"
"Yes! Please cook for us as well. We want a taste of your delicious meals!"
"Yes! Please make meat for us. We’ll work for it!" They all requested aloud as Ayra smiled.
She nodded as she said, "Okay. Don’t worry, I’ll cook for you all someday," she promised them with a warm smile.
The beastmen all stared at her with an adoring smile as they said, shaking their heads.
"The female is not only beautiful... She is extremely kind..."
"Yes.. I can’t believe my eyes..."
"We’re so lucky indeed."
While they adored her, Rai turned to them and said, "The female has a name. So let’s call her by that. Ayra!"
"Ahh...." Everyone chorused in unison as they stared at each other.
"Pretty name..."
"Yes yes.."
"We’ll call her that instead..."
"Ayra..."
"Female Ayra...?"
While they discussed, the ceremony proceeded. The performances and displays were over, so they moved over to the refreshments.
They served the female and cub high quality meals. Soups and vegetables with healthy meat inspected by Vale himself.
And they all sat around, watching Ayra feed little Ally.
Everyone adored the scene before them. Melting as they watched Ayra feed soup to the little cub. As she opened her little mouth to take in the soup, the beastmen around imitated almost immediately.
All opening their mouths as if they were also being fed. They simply stared at the little cub, smiled and imitated her as she opened her mouth.
When the cub smiled, kicking and giggling, they found themselves smiling as well. They had completely forgotten about their own meal before them while they watched the little cub eat from beginning to end, happy.
While they ate, the fox elder gathered and decided to give his story which he had practiced for a while now. A traditional story. And he sat there in the middle while presenting the story to everyone while they enjoyed their meals.
He stared at the cub with a smile as he delivered the folklore. Little Ally lay there and stared at the elder with a smile—she wasn’t listening. And the fox happily smiled while he continued telling his story.
After the story, some elders had brought forth their crown for the little cub. A pretty crown made from carving and pretty feathers and decorations. They placed it on the cub’s head while watching it smile happily.
This made them melt with smiles.
