Chapter 80: Ultimate Punishment
The second warrior stated, "We expected that by the time we got there, we would see most of them already dead and sick.. we honestly expected them to be in ruin."
"But by the time we arrived, they were already looking all happy and okay. As if nothing happened at all. They were even drinking from the waters as if nothing happened! So we don’t understand how that happened!"
One of the elders shook his head as he said, "But how’s that possible...? I mean, the last time we checked, we saw that the water was already affecting them. Wasn’t it? It was clear that the plan was working and they’d soon be dying from it."
Another agreed, "Exactly. So how did they all suddenly get better and even continued drinking the same water as if nothing happened? How?"
For a while they all sat there searching their brains but they couldn’t seem to come up with a logical explanation for it at all.
Miya shook her head in thought as she said, "The only logical reason for this would be that they were healed. But it makes zero sense. How could they be healed when they’re wild beastmen who don’t have any means of getting healed?"
Her bird husband agreed, "Exactly. It’s impossible that those bastards have anything healing them at all. So how did they all suddenly get better?? It makes no sense to me!"
They all shook their heads in disbelief while trying to swallow the fact that these wild beastmen didn’t die from their plan and they didn’t come to beg them at all. Rather, they were doing fine!
After some thought, the tribe leader said, "The only explanation for this is that they had another means of healing themselves. Maybe they stole our medication and hid it or duplicated it. And then kept it for themselves."
Some slowly nodded. "That’s the only explanation now..."
Miya sighed as she said, "But are they even smart enough to do such a thing? I doubt these wild men can even imitate it."
Her beastmen slowly nodded to her statement.
"Miya has a point. They’re not smart enough. But that’s the only explanation we have now. And we have to work with that," an elder said.
The tribe leader’s son clenched his fist as he said with a scoff, "Do we even have time to think about that?" He stared at them as he said, "There’s no time to think about how they did it. Rather, what we should be doing is finding a way to destroy them!"
"Since they found a way out, we should not hold back anymore. We should use our most lethal way to destroy them right now. And make sure that they don’t even survive!"
The antelope messenger nodded as he said, "True, I agree with this. We should show them the consequences of what they did. Because this is them clearly rebelling!"
"They didn’t send the meal and now they’re even using another means to dodge our punishment? If this keeps up, they’ll come and fight us then! We have to show them who is boss!"
Everyone slowly nodded in agreement to this statement. They agreed with the fact as well. If they don’t do anything now, these wild men will come for them soon!
"So what do you suggest we do then?" One of the elders asked.
The tribe leader’s son clenched his fist as he turned to his father and said, "I think we should use our most dangerous weapon yet. We should use their weapons against them to bring them to ruin."
There was silence as everyone turned to stare at each other.
The tribe leader’s son proceeded as he said, "That’s the only way out now. We’ve been sharpening the weapon for ages and I think it’s ready now."
"Let’s use what they had against them," he smiled as he added, "It’s the best form of punishment yet. Using something close to them to destroy them completely."
Everyone stared at each other without questions. They all understood what he was talking about.
Miya nodded in agreement as she said, "Yes. True. I think Kul has a point. We’ve been training that monster for ages now. So it’s about time we get it out and use it to destroy. We should test our new weapon on his homeland," she smiled.
The tribe leader cleared his throat as he stared up at the warriors standing around. "You said you’ve successfully been able to control the monster?"
They nodded as one said, "Yes. After long, we’ve found ways to control and manipulate the wild cat. He is now completely under our command and will do as we say. We can also use him for anything now," he said proudly with a smile.
The tribe leader nodded. "Perfect. That’s perfect," he said as he turned to his son. "I give you the order. Go and gather some men and head to the prison. Take that monster down and set it off at the wild tribe."
"Let him enter into the tribe and ruin everything. Since he has lost his mind completely and is under our control, let him go and destroy that land and kill everyone possible there," he said with a smile.
"I wonder the look on their faces," Kul, the tribe leader’s son said. "Thinking their dear friend has returned only to be destroyed by it," he said in-between laughs.
Miya sighed as she said, "This is just to restore the honor and glory of our land.. it’s also our means of protection for ourselves, so it’s not wrong at all," she said as her husbands nodded.
"Go," the tribe leader said to his son. "Go and make it happen. And before long, we shall either get them coming to beg us. Or have them completely killed to even speak."
Kul got up to his feet with a smile as he bowed. "Thanks father, I won’t let you down," he said as he turned and walked off with the warriors. All setting off to execute the grand plan.
