Ayra had gathered the energy she had in her and proceeded with the healing and soothing of these men while Lord Vale and Lord Ash returned. They stood close by while they watched her heal them, worried for her sake.

Ash had casually looked in Zark’s direction as he asked, "So did anything happen while we were away or?"

"No, nothing," Lord Zark had a cold expression as he denied, his eyes on Ayra.

Ash smiled as he stared at Vale. The two shook their heads while they continued watching Ayra work.

She was almost done so she had given it all she had until the very last poisoned beastman was healed. And then Ayra slowly pulled off her hands as she stared at the unconscious beastmen before her.

She slowly smiled as she said, "They should be fine now.. they’ll wake up when they’re done resting up...." She explained as she slowly got up to her feet.

But immediately, she staggered and almost lost balance. Lord Ash was quick to catch her from her waist, pulling her close as he stared into her pale face.

"Are you okay?"

Vale and Zark stared, standing. They were certain that she wasn’t as Ayra shook her head with a smile. "I should be fine.. I just need to..."

Ash’s expression deepened as he ran his hands through her forehead and then down her stomach. He could feel her growing unsteady while feeling the cub inside her acting up. "You’re not okay.." he said as he leaned closer to feel the cub. "I think you need to take a rest. A long rest and maybe get something to eat..."

Ayra slowly nodded with a smile. "Don’t worry, I’ll do so..."

"You also need a lot of medication," Vale approached with both hands behind him. "Don’t worry, I’ll have the men gather the best herbal treatment around. That should help nourish your body real quick."

Zark stood where he was as he added, "You should get some rest. You’ve helped us a great deal, so we’ll have you get a refreshing sleep."

Ash and Vale turned and stared at him, surprise on their faces. But Zark brushed it off. "What? I’m just being considerate..."

Ayra smiled as she staggered to stand on her feet. "Don’t worry I’m..."

[Ding!]

[Host! Congratulations on Healing the Beastmen!]

[Alert Host, it’s time!]

[Beast cub is about to come out! Host is about to deliver!]

"...!"

Ayra was mute as she stared at the system. At first she was confused on what it meant as she tried digesting it. But then it struck her that it could only mean one thing—she was ready to deliver the cub?!

[Host, the strained state of the body and increased energy drained has pushed for the faster coming of the cub! So host should get ready!]

Ayra gasped as she felt her whole body ache. Pain ran through her stomach down her legs, she could feel everywhere swollen and ache. She wasn’t ultimately familiar with this feeling, but at the moment she could tell what it was.

"It’s coming.." Ayra said in a low gasp. Enough for Ash to hear as he turned to meet her uncomfortable expression and unsteady body.

"It’s coming.." Ayra felt her legs weakening from the pain as she struggled to stand.

"What is it...?" Ash went blank. He didn’t know anything about a pregnant woman so he didn’t know what to do at the moment. He simply stared at her in shock. "What’s happening to you..." He tried holding firmly onto her as her face continued changing.

At that moment, Vale was quick to act. "She’s about to deliver," he instantly announced as he stared at Ash. "Quick, take her back to her lair and let her rest there."

Ash panicked at the sudden announcement. His heart waved in immense shock and excitement as he swept Ayra off her feet and set off to keep her at her place.

Vale and Zark followed as they made their way through the tribe land that night.

Beastmen who had gathered to wait for Ayra’s healing sessions were shocked to see Ash carrying her out that night and moving past them. They all stared in confusion.

Soon, they also saw Lord Ash and Zark follow behind.

"What’s wrong with her?"

"Did she collapse after healing so many people?"

"She must be in immense pain at the moment..."

"I know right? She worked so hard for us and now has fallen sick.. we should certainly find a way to repay her!"

They agreed as they watched them take Ayra back to her wooden house while wondering the level of breakdown she had gone through from healing.

---

Ash placed Ayra on her bed while they stood at the side and watched her. Commander Lynn had joined them on the way so the four of them stared at the pregnant female about to deliver.

"What now?" Ash asked as they watched Ayra groan and move around in pain. She was already bleeding from in-between her legs and this left them traumatized and confused.

"What’s happening with her?" Zark asked. "Is it getting worse or?"

Vale sighed. "The cub is close. It has to be delivered soon," he explained.

"How do we do it? Do we just pull it out from her?" Ash asked.

Vale glared at her. "And why would you do that?" He shook his head. "We have to get a professional for that.. and I don’t think we have any of that here given that we haven’t even had a female around, talk more of delivering a cub."

Ash gasped, worried as he stared at Ayra who was growing more uncomfortable while tears rolled down her eyes. She was in immense pain, enough pain that she couldn’t even scream it out.

"We could go to the upper tribe or a neighbouring tribe. Anywhere, we could go and find someone who will urgently come and help her deliver if that’s the case," Zark demanded.

But Vale sighed. "We could, but would anyone outside our tribe even bother coming? Besides, it’d be a long journey before they arrived and then she might not be able to wait..."

He explained as they all went quiet staring at Ayra in pain.

"I think I might know someone..." Commander Lynn instantly suggested.
