Chapter 138: Is it Okay to Laugh?
Lord Vale and Zark struggled to leave the scene and head back to their seats but Lord Ash held them down. He also even held Commander Lynn down, preventing him from leaving.
"What’s happening?" Ayra asked with a smile—the same question the beastmen around were asking.
They were all shocked. Staring at Commander Lynn and the tribe leaders standing before the female for a performance?!
"How’s this possible..?"
"The tribe leaders are performing?"
"What has gotten into them?" one struggled to hold in their laughter.
"Are they perhaps drunk?"
"I can’t tell."
Everyone had their eyes and attention on them, curious to see what was happening and how it’d go. This was indeed a fascinating scene for them.
"We’re going to be performing for the female," Lord Ash smiled. His jealousy had brought him out here to perform.
Ayra smiled. "What...?"
"So..." Lord Ash said. "If we perform, then you’ll have to hand all the flowers to us."
Ayra smiled as she nodded, struggling not to laugh. "Okay then, sure. I’ll consider if I’m impressed by your performance."
And with that, she sat and watched them perform.
Lord Ash turned to the beastmen in charge of the instruments and urged them to proceed.
They didn’t hesitate at all. They instantly kicked off with their instruments that filled the atmosphere. Loud, lively music.
With the instruments playing, everyone stared in anticipation to see what they’d do.
Even Rai had held Ally and pointed to the scene saying, "See, Papa is performing. Watch," he said, struggling to hold back his laughter.
Ally casually stood there staring without understanding what was happening.
Lord Ash proceeded with his dancing. Following the music which played, he tried keeping up with the instruments while performing his chaotic dance.
Ayra had burst out into laughter watching him chase the beat of the instruments with his dance. And while he danced, the other three stood and stared at him!
It was clear that they didn’t plan on performing as well.
Lord Ash was the only one dancing. Dancing chaotically while the other three stood and stared at them.
"Dance too," Lord Ash said, moving Lord Vale’s body to move. He moved his body to the rhythm but Lord Vale didn’t bother moving at all.
Lord Zark was rather emotionless. Standing and staring like one who never wanted to be at this event at all.
And Commander Lynn? He stood there almost non-existent.
Ayra couldn’t help it. She burst out into laughter watching the scene. She couldn’t believe that the scary wild beastmen could get this silly.
She completely enjoyed herself while watching the whole performance even though it was only Lord Ash moving while forcing others to move along.
But they didn’t even bother at all.
At some moment, Lord Vale, Lord Zark and Commander Lynn had their eyes lost to the female.
While Ayra laughed and smiled like a carefree maiden, they couldn’t help but pause and stare at her collectively, allured by her smile.
It felt like time stopped for them. They couldn’t see anything other than Ayra smiling and laughing. And they couldn’t help but love that smile even more.
They recalled the villainess having terribly aligned and dirty teeth that didn’t help her smile at all. It didn’t make her pleasant when she did.
But they were rather surprised how good Ayra looked when she smiled. Perhaps what they saw and knew before was fake, because the female was extremely alluring in this moment.
And so instead of dancing, they stood, three of them staring at her like a show itself.
Soon, the instruments stopped and so did Lord Ash. He stood there, sweating profusely while staring at Ayra.
There was silence as everyone in the tribe stared at them.
Lord Vale simply placed a hand over his forehead while muttering, "Well, that’s embarrassing."
Lord Zark kept a stiff expression as he shook his head. "Never bring me out for such occasions again."
Commander Lynn: "..."
The silence lingered for some time before Ally instantly burst out into clapping.
"Ya! Ya! Papa!" She smiled happily at the entertaining scene she had just seen. One that had her standing and staring. "More, more! More!" She cheered while clapping.
And immediately, everyone instantly burst out into laughter while clapping for them for the performance. Even Ayra joined in, laughing while clapping for them.
The cheers were loud. The loudest amongst everyone who had performed.
Lord Ash stood proudly as he said to the other lords, "At least they are clapping." He smiled as he walked up to the female.
"So... Since you liked it so much, why don’t you hand it over to us?" He stretched out his hands for the flowers.
Ayra smiled, shaking her head while she handed the whole flower to Lord Ash with a smile. "Well, I guess you won after all."
Lord Ash smiled proudly as he stared down at the flower in her hand. The one the tiger had given her. "That too."
Ayra shook her head with a smile as she handed it to him. "Here. I guess your talented team won."
"Naturally, I’m talented," Lord Ash smiled as he leaned closer to the female. Their faces almost within reach as he said, "The female should laugh more, you look alluring when you do so."
He said with a wink as he turned and went back to his seat with the other lords and Commander Lynn. And Ayra sat there, blushing from the compliment.
She couldn’t stop her heart from fluttering for a while.

The event continued in full fun. Everyone began presenting their gifts to the female one by one.
Starting from the soldiers, down to the young beastmen and then the elders. Everyone presented their gifts to the female.
And while they did, they all said their blessings for the female one by one.
They had concluded the program for it and went to the next and last program which was where they ate the meat the female had helped prepare and drink in celebration.
And while they moved on to that program, the system tab opened right before Ayra’s face as she read through the new notification.
