Chapter 78: Washing Up Tutorial..?

Silence filled the room for a while. For a moment, no one understood what she meant by that.
"Messed.. what..?" Vale asked.
"What did she ruin this time..?" Ash stared at the cub.
Everyone was confused for a while as Commander Lynn scratched his hair, trying to understand what she was talking about.
But Ayra smiled some more as she shook her head. "She released some unpleasant waste from her body..." She gave a quick illustration.
They blinked and immediately Rai snapped, "Ah!"
"Ah!" Kan and the boys also nodded immediately as they stared at the cub. "So that’s what it is.."
"Oh..." Vale and Ash immediately understood it at the same time as they slowly nodded. "That..."
"..." Commander Lynn and Zark were still lost. They stared at themselves and stared at others. Like two people lost in their own worlds.
Ash smiled at them as he leaned closer to them and whispered to them.
"Ah," the two then let out a low soft expression as everyone laughed.
"I can’t believe you all didn’t pick up the smell. I picked that up when I came in first but needed to confirm," she explained.
"I also perceived it. But I thought it was Kan since he never really takes his bath," Rai said casting him a glare.
Kan snapped, "Hey, I do take my bath once a month!"
"..." Ayra blinked as she smiled, shaking her head.
The cub wasn’t crying now after seeing Ayra around. She was slowly calming down as Ayra gently patted Ally by the hair.
"So what are we going to do now?" Ash asked.
None of them knew what to do. They hadn’t encountered such so they couldn’t be of help on how to handle a cub who did this. They had only heard about it like a myth to them.
"Do we throw her into the water for some time?" Kan asked as everyone paused and stared at him.
"And why would we throw her inside water?" Rai glared at him.
"To clean her up..." Kan defended.
"Wouldn’t she sink then?" Rai glared.
"..."
"Oh, she can’t swim..." Kan sighed.
Ayra smiled as she said, "Don’t worry, I’ll wash her up." She said.
"I’ll come with you," Ash offered.
"Me too!" Rai happily announced.
"Me too!" Kan agreed along with the boys around. They were curious to see how Ayra would wash the baby clean to know how it’s done.
Ayra smiled as she said, "Okay sure. If you wish to come along, you could come and see then."

Ayra didn’t expect that when she arrived at the stream Ash had taken her to wash the cub, others had gathered as well for the supposed tutorial!
News had spread around the tribe that the cub was crying. And immediately everyone had gotten worried that the cub was sick or something.
They were all worried that most stood outside her house to wait for the news of what was happening to the cub.
When Ayra came out with Ash and the boys, she was shocked to see a lot of people gathered.
They said nothing, they only stood there staring at Ayra and then at the little cub in her arms who wasn’t crying anymore.
Ayra didn’t need to be told why they were there. She simply assured them that the cub was fine.
Now they looked more at ease as they shook their heads.
"Where is the female taking the cub?" One asked curiously. Ayra smiled as she explained that she needed to wash the cub.
"Oh..."
They all seemed impressed by this. They stared at each other as they said, "Does the female need anything? We’ll happily bring it!" They immediately offered.
Ayra did need. She needed some leaves for cleaning up the cub and then some clothing to change the cub into. And also some things she’d need for cleaning up the cub. And as she told them about it, they immediately disappeared.
All running to go and get what the female needed for the cub. No one questioned.
And as Ayra arrived at the washing stream to wash up, she was surprised to see them all gathered there at a distance.
Beastmen were sitting down and watching what Ayra was doing, intrigued. It was as though they had arrived at a tutorial station and Ayra was showing them how to wash up a cub.
No one made a sound at all. They all sat there quietly at a distance while watching as Ayra worked, impressed.
Ayra smiled as she shook her head.
"Should I send them off? Are they disturbing?" Ash had asked.
"No.. if they want to stay and watch, it’s okay," she said as she proceeded.
Ayra had removed the little one’s clothing and cleaned her all up with some water and the dirty clothing. And as she wiped the little one clean, the beastmen couldn’t help but shake their heads in admiration.
"So little..."
"So cute..."
"So tiny..."
"So that’s how it’s done..."
"I see..."
They stared with fascinating as though they were learning a new skill they’d use for life.
Ally was simply kicking and smiling as they cleaned her up. As if she was proud of the mess she had made. She simply giggled and stretched herself out while Ayra cleaned her up.
"Oh, is that how it’s done?" Ash stared closely.
"You should learn and do it next time!" Rai told Ash as Ayra smiled.
"Of course I’ll do it next time. I’m a quick learner," Ash insisted while he stared closely as Ayra cleaned up the little one.
Ayra was done cleaning. She stretched out the dirty clothes aside. They didn’t even need her to speak. The beastmen rushed and took the clothes to dispose.
They didn’t want her to stress out at all. So they took it and disposed it immediately while Ayra smiled and continued working.
She proceeded to take the little one into the water. And the beastmen stared, curiously and intrigued to know what the female was doing.
And they were all shocked as Ayra slowly dipped the little one into the edge of the water. The beastmen all got up to their feet in shock.
"What’s she doing...???"
