Only with Your Heart

Encounter - 3

The sound of a birdie announcing the arrival of the morning tickled his ears, and the morning sun leaking through the window lit the room flatteringly.

Thousand cranes tried to lift his eyelids snugly, but the sun was just hitting his face, and he had to dazzle and blink again and again.

In the morning... came.

The first morning since I came back into this world.

Turning the blanket as she stretched her tight body over the carpet, she slowly stood up and Chizuru immediately looked around the small room. But I don't see a drawte empty on the bet. Instead there was a noise of people moving from somewhere in the mansion, so when I polished my nerves carefully, I felt the smell of sweet food drifting from around the lower floor.

The body is honest and the sweet scent invites my stomach to make a noise.

Chizuru came to the door of the closed room and half-heartedly pushed forward. By the way, the door made of a plate of rotten wood sounds like a ripple, but it opens lightly without resistance, especially like this.

"Oh, uh... can I come out?

I didn't clap much, and Chizuru heard it in his voice. No reply.

I mean, there was no opposition like this, and there was hunger, and Chizuru tried to get out of the dreaded room. The mansion, which was invisible in the dark last night, is illuminated by the light that leaks through the window.

Thankfully, Rodolgo's mansion was worn out.

Worn out, I think it would be better to repeat it twice, it seems tragic. The building itself was made of stone, but the surfaces were rough and not properly polished, and the floors and walls were not straight on top of the lack of them everywhere. The wooden doors attached to the entrance to the room are so rotten and ripped off everywhere that you might not have to.

(Speaking of which... Luklov... I thought you said someone might get rid of you and you're just doing it in detail)

Of course, although I know there are mountains of people in this world who live poorer, that fact somehow made Chizuru feel a little responsible.

For now, the mansion wasn't big enough to need to pry everywhere, so Chizuru could easily find a staircase to get down to the ground floor.

When Chizuru looked up, Draote was just about to drink something like a light gray soup on a wooden desk. I look up when I see a thousand cranes.

"You're finally awake..."

"Yes, sir"

"As I said last night, there's very little to eat here but potatoes. I have this in the kitchen, so if you want it, you bring it yourself..."

So Dorothee put up a soup dish and showed it to him.

To imagine from the sweet smell and the words of Draote, I guess that's a soup made of some kind of potato. It was a bit of a shock to Chizuru, who had been accustomed to Japan's abundant diet for some time.

"I will. Isn't Mr. Rodolgo here?

"That guy would have already eaten and gone first thing in the morning. It will take three days from here to the Duke's mansion..."

Three days...

In other words, assuming you go back and forth, it will be six short days before you can meet that duke, who may be Luklov. Maybe I'll have to live with this drote and just potato soup all the way up until then.

Chizuru sighed and walked into the hallway where he thought it would lead to the kitchen.

And in the cooking-like little room in my eye, of course, there was nothing in the fridge, and the potato-style potatoes that remained soiled on the stone cooking table were mountains of other things, the iron pan just hanging over a direct fire like a cauldron. Thousand cranes returned to the Draught, like a bowl of trees with soup in the pan nearby.

Dorote is silently sipping the soup without even raising her face, even as Chizuru returns.

In the meantime, Chizuru also decided to apprentice her. Luckily, there just seems to be plenty of time. After taking the time to finish a surprisingly delicious soup, Chizuru faced Draote.

"Um... can I ask you something"

When Chizuru asked in anticipation of the time he was finished eating, Draote silently placed the bowl on his desk and turned his depressing eyes to this side. She won't come after Chizuru even if she tries to escape now. It was such a dry gaze.

"That, about a man named Duke. According to Mr. Rodolgo, he was originally a hero of the country, or new to the area with the king's life... do that"

"Huh, do you care?

Draote's face was distorted by evil, and few teeth peered through the lip gap. "Well, then maybe... You might end up being sold to that man."

Sold out?

It's a lot of noisy stuff, but if you think about the ransom, is that what happens in the end? Chizuru sighed with relief, and reached for the words of Draote.

Draote took his eyes off the lid and the thousand cranes and let his gaze swim somewhere to look at the universe. And she starts talking in her unique slow tone.

"There used to be evil dragons in this country not so far away... Do you know that?"

"Yeah, you're a dragon covered in black scales with terribly sharp fangs and nails and five heads, flying around the midnight sky and killing people."

Chizuru shuddered as he remembered when he put that huge beast in front of him.

This world is slightly different from the "sword and magic" world that was found in books borrowed to dance. There was no such thing as magic. It's a medieval world, so of course there's a sword as a weapon, but that doesn't hold the magic. There was a little bit of suspicious inheritance and customs from a contemporary like Chizuru, and people were only normal people. Animals and plants are little different from the original world. The only exception was its evil beast… and the presence of a witch summoned from another world to exorcise it.

Chizuru.

Bad dragons do not belong in this world, supposedly they can only be killed by the hands of human beings from different worlds, and Chizuru, protected by the Knights, starting with Luklov, ended it all by poking this dragon's heart with a sword.

However, the existence of Thousand Cranes was to be top secret within the Knights and outside of the King, and the Evil Dragon was to have been put in place by Lucrov and the Knights.

In fact, Chizuru only eventually got his hands on him, and until then he was just protected...

"If you know that much, you know the rumor of the man who defeated the evil dragon."

Chizuru nodded.

"I mean, the Duke is the end of this man. Though at the time he was treated scatterly as a hero, his eyes dazzled whether it was gold or a woman, and he became like an assassin and continued to defile his hands. And four or five years ago, I finally decided to pull into the country, tired or not. The king gave me territorial rights around here."

Dorote's voice goes up just a little bit. "Isn't it like a mouth stopping fee? You must have been doing something pretty dirty."

…………

Chizuru lost his words and stared at the wrinkles engraved in the eye of Draote.

I'm not sure where it's true from.

But I didn't even think of it as a total lie.

When he glanced back at Chizuru, who was unanswered of anything, Dorote laughed and showed him garlic.

"That's not all. I know only some people know, but actually this guy has a weird sexuality and he doesn't have eyes for a woman with dark hair and black eyes and a slightly exotic face... With a woman like that, she leaves everywhere in the country and sometimes tries to get even with a lot of money..."

Watching as Thousand Cranes looked exactly like that, Dorote leaked a creepy laugh that Hihihi,

"There are rarely such women... It's like a heavenly woman. After sitting on his back in this country, he also stopped looking for that heavenly woman... It's just that Rodolgo's idiot found you and he was a little shaded... maybe the Duke will still give you some money."

Then a few days of Chizuru's life was truly monotonous.

No matter how dark the rumors surrounded him, I didn't feel like running away because that duke was still likely to be Ruklov... even lived with Draote for the most part.

Every day began with potato soup, followed by lunch for potato soup, and surprisingly, ended with a potato soup dinner. In the meantime, dig potatoes in the field behind the mansion. By the time I counted the three days, Chizuru had suffered feeling like he was allergic to potatoes, but after the four days, he was no longer concerned this time.

I've met other people in the settlement, but we haven't talked much about all of them being equally lifeless old ladies like Draote or just guys who don't feel like they're drinking since noon. Maybe a decent young man escaped from here.

And on the morning of the sixth day, the news arrived.

"I'm surprised! The Duke himself is coming with Rodolgo to make sure of you!

In response to the words of the boy who came to the pioneer news, Dorote was rarely excited with his voice absurd.

And he began to speak to the figure of Chizuru, who had never mind before. I bring some laundered white and green plain dress from somewhere and put it on a thousand cranes and put it through my hair that was a mess myself.

Of course, Chizuru had difficulty suppressing a missed beat.

Maybe I'll see Luklov from now on......!

And that evening, when the sun was about to set and the sky was stained with purple and orange, Rodolgo finally returned to the settlement with one stately knight.

Draote and Chizuru stood in front of the mansion, waiting, now or now, for the arrival of the two, shaken by horses from across the horizon.

"Ladies! I'm home now!

As he approached the mansion, Rodolgo raised his voice in great silence, but the knight was silent.

The knight is wearing a clasp (crunchy tear) and wears a silver armor from his head. My face is shadowed and invisible.

But...

Straightened spine. Wide shoulder width.

You can tell by the ride, its long.

Rodolgo kept screaming for something more, but that didn't reach Thousand Cranes' ears.

It seemed to be the same for the knight, and the two hardened themselves as they were in gold bondage, staring even quietly at each other on the earth that the sunset illuminated.
