[External] Demon Knife Visitor - The Day I Begin to Give Back - Part I

It is the story of when the rainy season dawned and the summer heat became harsher.

"Demon Knife"?

"Oh... the spirit hole behind that shrine... that's where the demon knife spirits appear"

I heard such rumors from relatives gathered when there was law.

A monstrous tale of a shrine at the foot of a local mountain (at the foot).

Anything was about Japanese swords made before the Edo period leaving resentment behind and coming out as ghosts.

A demonic knife appears only during the summer basin period… a monstrous story passed down to the main house for centuries.

Several of my own relatives and cousins said they had experienced it before.

"Interesting"

I, a social worker, have a summer vacation with bon break added starting next week.

There were also plans to go around the mountain where the shrine was located in the mountain climb.

"Why don't you stop by?"

I do not believe in strange phenomena or ghosts.

But somehow I decided to go check on the rumors of the "demon knife” that bothered me.

Then a few days later, a short, hot basin season also arrives in the North.

Having become a summer vacation for the company, I came to a shrine where demon swords emerged as planned.

"The spiritual hole goes up this staircase, behind the mountains. Take care, customers."

"Oh, okay"

Upon hearing the description of the shrine's palace chief (Guji), I ascend the stairs in the woods.

The sound of the cicada sounded loud, playing a short northern summer.

Sometimes it's the time of the basin. There's no sign of worship, and I go up the stone stairs where the cockerels grow by myself.

When you climb up a long staircase sandwiched by such a forest, your vision opens just a little to the side.

"Feeding (like) a vault? That's a lot of people."

There was a neat line of over hundreds of vaults there.

Earlier stories of the palace chief indicate that this provides for lives lost by wars, plagues, etc., in an ancient and dedicated vault.

Not one face, though so many, was the same, and the thoughts of those who made and served were caged.

"I miss you. Now you have a child who cried."

I remember when I visited this shrine with my family in the past.

Look at the creepy atmospheric vault, about my cousin who was scared and crying.

I don't believe in paranormal things at all, and I was wondering what I was afraid of at the time.

But in Japan, we have believed in eight million gods since ancient times.

While fearing the mountains and nature, I offer my gratitude and awe.

Given that, the young cousin may have felt something unique at the time.

With nostalgia, I think about that and move on with my legs.

"Well, here it is"

While I was thinking. Reach the destination location.

"Spirit hole? There are rumors of the spirit of an example demon sword."

What arrived was a small cave in the middle of the mountain.

A horizontal hole through which one adult can pass continues to the back in the dim.

Although not maintained for tourism, I have long heard that it is a spiritual place visited by worshippers.

"I think it's superstitious, but why don't you come in?"

I decide to light the back with the flashlight I brought into the cave.

There are no other signs of people inside or around.

Strangely enough, the cicada chirping also stopped perfectly, making it a creepy quiet space.

"Now, will there be ghosts or snakes..."

I don't believe in psychic phenomena at all.

But I feel "something” that I can't speak of, and I never move on to the cave.

I was going through a cave in the horizontal cave, and I got to the rampage.

"Is this the obsession point?"

The destination we reached was the end of the cave.

Unlike the narrow passages so far, the ceiling is suddenly high and there is about ten tatami of space.

Out of nowhere is the sound of groundwater flowing, forming a quiet yet strange space.

"Is this Shintoi?"

At the far back of the hall was a pedestal with people's hands on it.

Where the offering was dedicated here in the Miyagi story.

Now it is only scraped with nothing and the stone table is placed.

My own relatives said it was around this stone table that I saw the spirit of the demon knife.

"Do you still have a demon knife?"

Check the cave with a flashlight, but there are no demon sword-like shadows that I heard rumors about.

"You didn't look like me."

I am a realist who does not believe in strange spiritual phenomena at all.

Anyway, I was concerned about rumors about the spirit of the demon knife I heard about being a relative, and I've gotten to this point.

I can't explain it well in words, but when I heard the rumor, I felt something.

But I would have missed that too.

"Let's go back to the inn."

My original purpose is a summer vacation across the basin and a mountain tour I used.

I was going to use the famous mountain above this spiritual hole as a starting point to indulge in nature while spending the night in the mountains sometime.

Suppose this is the survival camp you call it, and you will be ready to go back to your accommodation tonight.

"Well... n"

It was then.

I'm trying to get to the exit corridor, and I sense something.

(What are the signs of this scourge...)

When I feel signs of zombies and disgust on my spine, I send a warning signal all over my body.

Activate the five senses fully to be alert in the dim cave just illuminated by a flashlight.

(Bear or... person... no, you're not...)

When it comes to dangers that are realistically behind mountains like this, there are only people or wild beasts.

But neither of these evil signs were true.

(This is... what...)

Raised by my parents, who call themselves adventurers, I was brought around in nature all over the world from an early age.

There have been secret tours out of common sense, but I have only a little more experience than normal.

Those who emit this dangerous sign to compare were neither madmen nor carnivores.

Concentrate on the five senses and explore the invisible "something”.

And I notice some position.

"It's you. This sign… who is the killer?"

I ask the "shadow” at the end of my gaze.

It was the entrance and exit of the passage leading to the exit of the cave.

(Is this the rumored demon knife...)

Soon there was a Japanese knife in that place where no one was supposed to have been.

A brilliant blade-printed knife, but a demonic knife emitting demonic light floats in the air.

And as I react to my voice, the suspicious light gradually grows and forms a shadow.

(man... no samurai... here it is...)

Calmly analyze the sudden appearance of the shadow.

It was an incredible phenomenon, but it is true that it is actually happening in front of us.

It was one samurai who showed up.

I was trapped in a cave by a samurai armed with a demon knife and armor.
