Ore no Ongaeshi: High Spec Murazukuri (LN)

Episode 2: The First Year in the Other World. Yamato seasoning

This is the story of Yamato's first year in the village of Uld, moving to another world.

Risha, the village chief's granddaughter, was visiting Yamato's residence.

"Master Yamato, I brought you what you were asking for"

"Thank you, Mr. Riesha. Put me there."

Yamato lives alone in the cabin outside the village where he first rented it. So Risha, the village chief's granddaughter, was delivering supplies on a regular basis.

"Were you cooking, Yamato?"

Yamato was simmering somewhat in a cooking pot. Reesha is intrigued by the smell she has never smelled.

"Oh. I was planting seasonings with salt"

The exorcism of the spiritual beasts of the Rock Salt Mine has made salt abundant in the village. So Yamato was making condiments in his spare time.

"Is that the seasoning......?

There are also traditional seasonings in the village of Uld. But Yamato was making things that Risha had never seen before.

"This is a masterpiece of miso and soy sauce. That's fish soy sauce."

"Miso, to, soy sauce, to... ginger...?

To the first word she hears, Riesha tilts her neck. I wonder what kind of seasoning it is.

"The ingredients are the village beans, river fish, and koji, and it's not that hard."

Yamato explains to the intriguing Leisha.

He said that Koji and others are made in place of Inahong fruit, and he makes seasonings for his birthplace. Put him to sleep for nearly a year to come, and he says he plans to finish it next year.

"I see. Next spring, the taste of Yamato's hometown will be complete!

"If it's fish soy over here, it's already done. Wait a minute, Mr. Riesha."

With that said, Yamato reaches for the vial near the cooking area (Kamado).

This is a seasoning I made before with fish and rock salt caught in a village lake. He said he made it with a technique to reduce the time of thermal insulation.

"Urd's ethnic cuisine isn't bad either. But I really want Japanese seasoning."

With his own insides in his mouth, Yamato handily stirs up some dish. Apparently they will make prototype dishes with fish soy sauce.

"All right, it's done. This is for Mr. Riesha."

"What, my share too...... thank you, Master Yamato"

Yamato arranges hands-on dishes on the table. Pah and look at the stir-fried vegetables and river fish.

But the indescribable fragrant incense irritates Leisha's nostrils.

"Okay, I'll take it. Yamato."

"Here you go, Mr. Riesha"

After a meal greeting taught by Yamato, Risha puts the dish in her mouth.

"Mmm... it's delicious!

Reesha, who mouthed the dish, unwittingly raises her voice. It's a new flavor I never imagined.

There was no odor specific to river fish, rather it matched the seasoning.

"Well done for making it in less time."

Yamato eating with me, too, grins at my mouth. My heart was loose on the taste of my first home town in a long time.

Yamato doesn't laugh at rare things. With an unexpected side in his eyes, Risha smiles, too.

"Miso and soy sauce have another taste than this"

"More than this..."

Reesha accidentally swallows spit to explain the flavor of Yamato. The imagination of the unknown taste was stimulating the taste.

"I would like to feed everyone else in the village..."

I'm not too impressed. Reesha snaps by accident. Especially for children growing up, it is a flavour that they want to eat.

"Right. If Mr. Riesha is right for the mouth, I'll plant more."

"What!? Yes, thank you, Master Yamato!

Yamato was pleased that the taste of his homeland suited the mouths of the other people.

Thus the flavour of the sum brought in by Yamato was also accepted by the villages of Uld, the other world.
