Chapter 2231 - 1120: A Classic Old Encounter (2)

Dorothy pondered this in her heart.

Well, after all, asking the Dragon King directly whether he’s playing her for a fool was something beyond her courage, but she did have the courage for cautious verification and bold reasoning.

Nevertheless, even though deep down she felt there was definitely something wrong with such coincidences, Dorothy wasn’t about to give up on this opportunity that was right in front of her.

Hmm, eat the sugar coating and throw the bomb back; there’s no way I’m afraid of mere Emora.

Perhaps it was due to the remaining consciousness of the Fairy King; in any case, the Homebody Witch made a super brave decision.

For now, she wasn’t thinking about hunting some Rock Snake Dragon or anything. Instead, she changed her destination to explore the mysterious abyss at the valley bottom that Mrs. Zora mentioned.

She discussed this decision with her sisters, who naturally had no objections. After all, an Ancient Dragon King’s legacy was a rare sight even for them, despite their extraordinary backgrounds. Everyone was very curious.

Let alone the little witches; even Mother Dragon and Mavis were seeing this for the first time. The Time Dragon Witch was resigned to the young lady’s extraordinary luck, where even casual hunting trips led to such discoveries. Though the Dragon Cavalry Legion had camped near here for almost a century, familiar with the environment to the extent of navigating blindfolded, this was the first they’d heard of such a secret like a valley bottom abyss.

But it was only normal; a battle-hardened army like the Dragon Cavalry wouldn’t be as kind-hearted to care about the details of a single Sub-Dragon, which to them was akin to livestock in a pasture, waiting to be fattened for slaughter. Who would care about their encounters?

"Ladies and gentlemen, please follow me, but I can only roughly lead you to where I encountered strong enemies. After that, I can’t help you find the way."

Mrs. Yalong resolutely led the way up front, with the Chicken Snake Dragon Group following her.

With that, the witches and the dragon swarm set out grandly.

The Chicken Snake Dragons were quite dominant in the miasma-filled valley. Blending with the dragon group, the journey was smooth. Even if they came across some powerful dragon beasts or Sub-Dragons occupying higher ecological niches, a command from Zora would make the Chicken Snake Dragon Group glare collectively, forcing the dragon beasts or Sub-Dragon either to flee in fear or cautiously step aside.

This scene slightly restored confidence in Zora and the dragon swarm.

Hmm, just now they couldn’t even begin to intimidate Dorothy alone with their Pupil of Fear, an unexpected outcome that had them questioning themselves, wondering if their eyes had weakened.

However, with recent normal performances, they regained their confidence.

It wasn’t that they had weakened; rather, Lady Dorothy was too strong.

At present, Zora was leading the way with more dedication.

The wisdom accumulated over her millennium-long dragon life told her that Lady Dorothy might be the new opportunity for the dragon swarm, as such a mighty yet merciful, willing to communicate equally with weak dragon groups, was rare in the entire Western Universe.

As long as they truly establish communication with Lady Dorothy, how could the dragon swarm have no future?

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is where I started running back then, but I can’t pinpoint the exact location now."

Soon enough, Mrs. Yalong brought the witches to a stone forest with many varied cave tunnels, looking at those countless caves helplessly spreading her hands.

These natural cave tunnels had numerous intersecting paths. She was too busy fleeing back then to bother remembering the route, and now there’s truly not much she can do.

Seeing this scene, Dorothy also frowned.

If it’s just a maze, she isn’t too afraid, since things like this can be solved with enough time.

But figuring this out requires a lot of time, and she’s scheduled to head to the Mechanical Wilderness in a few days, leaving her no time to stay here and slowly unravel puzzles.

At present, she turned her head to look at her sisters, hoping they might have a solution.

In response, the sisters too showed difficulty, and eventually, Sophia stepped forward.

The Pure White Witch walked up to Mrs. Yalong and said.

"Mrs. Zora, could I borrow a drop of your blood?"

She was quite courteous to Mrs. Yalong, following the young lady’s lead in politeness.

In response, the charming mature woman didn’t hesitate; she directly put her finger into her mouth and bit open a wound, with fresh dragon blood immediately flowing out.

"Is this enough, miss?"

"There’s no need for that much."

Sophia took only a drop of blood, and with a touch of Holy Light, easily healed Mrs. Yalong’s wound.

Next, the Pure White Witch used that drop of dragon blood as material to start casting spells.

"Destiny Pattern, Dragon and Serpent, Fate, a desperate escape."

Sophia picked up a stone from the stone forest beside them, and with a burst of magic power in her hand, she used it to create a small stone sculpture of a Chicken Snake Dragon. Then, she dropped the Zora’s Blood onto the sculpture; the stone Chicken Snake Dragon quickly came to life, frantically fleeing as if a terrifying adversary was chasing it.

Evidently, she intended to recreate the miraculous escape of Zora’s past.

However, miracles are called such due to their rarity, and most miracles are hard to replicate, leaving the group unsure if this method would succeed.

Yet, given they had no alternatives, they could only trust fate’s arrangement.

The group hurriedly pursued the frantically fleeing Chicken Snake Dragon sculpture, diving straight into the maze-like stone tunnel, while Zora hesitated before ordering the dragon swarm to stand by and then followed them in, gritting her teeth.

This beautiful incarnated deity’s thigh had to be tightly held.

Of course, Dorothy relied on her ability to remember everything to quickly memorize their path. In her mind, a gradually illuminated maze map was becoming clearer bit by bit.

Rushing through the cave for five or six hours, seeing the Chicken Snake Dragon sculpture still rushing ahead, and the monotonous stone cave landscape becoming all too familiar, doubt began to creep in whether Sophia’s method was truly effective.

They couldn’t help but feel as though they were going in circles; the surroundings looked too familiar, like they’d been here before.

While their sisters began to think about retreating, and even Sophia, the spellcaster, started losing confidence, Dorothy’s eyes only grew brighter.

The maze map in her mind revealed that they hadn’t been going in circles; they were on the right path, and the familiar scenery was purely an illusion.

Then just hang on a bit more; they should be nearing the end soon.

Indeed, after another three or four hours, through Dorothy’s continuous encouragement and support, the group finally made it, when the leading stone Chicken Snake Dragon suddenly stepped into thin air, flapping a few times in the air before yielding to its heavy stone body and helplessly plummeting down.

Dorothy and the others managed to stop just in time, standing at the edge of a cliff, peering down only to see nothing. The pitch-black depths below giving one the illusion of staring into the Abyss.

However, Mrs. Zora gazed with both fear and excitement in her eyes.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is it, the abyss at the valley bottom is down there."

.... Witches jumping into the cliff.....
