Chapter 2137 - 1079: Astoros (Part 2)
The sky suddenly darkened because a face appeared at the mountain top.
Although this face was frighteningly big, the skin was surprisingly perfect, almost poreless. You know, giants are usually not a sight to behold for humans, with their coarse facial hair and fear-inducing pores and pimples.
It’s like you shouldn’t look at a human face with a magnifying glass.
But this face in the sky could withstand the scrutiny of a magnifying glass; it was evolutionarily perfect.
Upon closely examining the features of this face, Dorothy realized it was the very likeness of Astoros she had only seen in paintings.
But why does this face of the Goddess of Wealth appear to be upside down?
The homebody witch was puzzled for a moment before a flash of insight hit her.
She looked down at her chest...
Hmm, if a few ants happened to be standing at her chest and looked at her face, they’d likely see a similar scene.
Gasp.....
Wow, I’m so silly; I recognized the bathtub but didn’t consider that a bathtub is used for taking baths.
Realizing this, she looked around and suddenly felt like the mountains around her were no longer mountains.
Nonetheless, these two mountains were genuinely majestic and impressive, a true natural spectacle.
Indeed, they were standing on the body of that Goddess of Wealth. If a Dragon Witch became powerful enough and didn’t restrain their size, they’d appear as magnificent as a deity.
At that moment, Astoros’ eyes in the sky moved away from Guinevere and focused on the little witches, finally resting on two of them.
"Oh, a mark from Nidhogg, and this one has the taste of the Golden Trial."
She first looked at Dorothy, then at Mia, with some surprise.
"You’re getting a bit too casual; you should address His Excellency as Father King and me as Mother Queen."
Guinevere instantly frowned.
She nearly made a misstep earlier, so she was now attentive to details and immediately corrected them with her Queen’s authority.
"Yes, yes, my bunny girl-loving Mother Queen, why are you dressed as a maid again? Are you planning to rendezvous with your little lover?"
In the sky, Astoros chuckled, her laughter causing the earth to tremble and the mountains to shake.
This was supposed to be a beautiful sight, but the homebody witch and others felt a rush of fear, worried they’d be squashed by the surrounding mountains, which would be too comical a death.
But it seemed the Goddess of Wealth’s personality was different from what they’d imagined; was she really this bold? Even teasing Her Majesty the Queen, her mother?
Though Dorothy wasn’t sure if this little daughter of the Dragon King was born to the Queen or another queen consort.
And could these big shots stop revealing such shocking personal secrets? We don’t want to hear it!
At this point, Dorothy’s face had turned pale with fright.
Although she enjoyed gossip daily, a secret this big was threatening.
So, Guinevere is a bunny girl fan? That’s a bit strange, but it sounds exciting when you think about it.
And what about the lover? Your Majesty the Queen, you have a lover too? No wonder you’re so adept at disguising as a maid. But who dares to cuckold the Dragon King?
In any case, should we know this kind of information about these big figures? We’re just kids!
Hmm, didn’t hear it, can’t understand it, won’t listen.
They immediately adopted the look of well-behaved children, fearing the big shots might silence them for good.
Yet, in fact, each of them perked up their ears, showing a massive determination to indulge in gossip even at the risk of death.
But....
"Audrey, tone it down. Still, act all proper in your four-pillar style, don’t let your fox ears stand so high."
Dorothy reached out to press down the fox ears of her gossip-loving junior, almost as high as bunny ears, hoping not to trigger Guinevere’s inclinations.
For such teasing from her "daughter," Guinevere became even more annoyed.
"Heh, what’s wrong with liking fluffy things? It’s definitely better than your fetish for exhibitionism."
Tsk, everyone evolves with bad habits; who’s really more noble?
"Heh, me an exhibitionist? Who am I bothering by taking a bath in my own home? You guys are the ones constantly dropping by my place."
Currently, the mother and daughter were having a go at each other, exposing each other’s flaws for five minutes. This not only excited Dorothy and others with gossip but made them increasingly worried.
Can we really leave this treasure house alive?
They had to seriously contemplate this issue.
Fortunately, the "mother and daughter" quickly tired of their argument, ending in a draw, and agreed to battle another day.
"Hmph, the pantry is over there; Mother Queen, you know the way, take them there. I have to continue bathing and getting dressed for the evening party later."
Astoros gave a cold humph, then vaguely pointed in a direction with her large hand.
Simultaneously, Dorothy and Mia were both taken aback as the Goddess of Wealth’s voice echoed in their ears.
For the homebody witch: "Sister, feel free to take any ingredients; don’t be shy, I left a little gift for you beside the fridge, happy birthday."
For Mia: "Among those ungrateful descendants, you’re a delightful child. Very good, hold firm to your choice, I have high hopes for you."
Before they could reply, everything became a blur, and they found themselves out of the Goddess’s bathroom, arriving at.....
Hmm, it seemed like the living room.
Dorothy glanced around and made this judgment.
She now fully understood that what was called the Dragon King’s Secret Vault was actually Astoros’s home.
Thinking about it, it makes sense: after all, as the Goddess of Wealth, her home would naturally be filled with treasures, like a secret vault, considering even her bathwater is gold coins, making one exclaim, "Goddess, can I have your unwanted bathwater?"
If it’s such bathwater, the homebody witch can’t pretend to be a gentleman.
But knowing the truth of this secret vault, they didn’t really need Guinevere to guide them to the pantry; Dorothy knew where to go.
Hmm, the kitchen, I’m familiar with this.
Besides, the Goddess already mentioned it’s beside the fridge, and there’s her little gift, which is really embarrassing.
Hmm, Goddess, you could’ve given me some of your bathwater; I promise I’m not greedy.
Dorothy thought excitedly, rubbing her hands together.
Thus, everyone began wandering around the giant’s home like ants, embarking on a lengthy journey from the living room to the kitchen, which took quite a while flying before they finally reached the "fridge" towering over ten thousand meters high.
Indeed, even though Astoros complained about everyone frequently visiting her home, she was surprisingly kind, having specifically made a small door like a mouse hole at the bottom of the fridge door.
What a laugh.
While this was a mouse hole for a goddess as grand as a mountain, for Dorothy and her ant-sized friends, the little door was already quite grand and majestic.
Guinevere went forward to push the door open, and then....
Wow, a golden legend.
Behind the door, endless golden light burst out, an incredibly thick flood of magic power.
Gosh, even the magic power exuded by the ingredients is frightening; Dorothy dared not imagine what it would taste like if she actually ate some.
Dorothy took a deep breath, feeling her magic power increase by several hundred Mana; she was truly as happy as a mouse falling into a rice jar.
Alright, sisters, the feeling of crawling through a mouse hole is truly incomparably satisfying.
But, what was the gift the Goddess mentioned?
Dorothy didn’t rush into the fridge but flew upward along it, and on the snow-covered fridge top, she saw the so-called "little gift."
"Hmm, now this is truly a golden legend."
Gazing at the super gigantic golden pot, large enough to stew a world, the homebody witch fell into thought.
No need to say more, I’m willing to take on this pot, Goddess, you’re generous.
A golden pot forged in pure Witch Gold, what cook could refuse it?
...Homebody witch now taking ownership...
