Walker Grant asked casually, "I can’t drink it?"

Fiona Linton’s tone was extremely serious. "Absolutely not! The toxins are concentrated in your eyes, and any kind of stimulant could affect them. If that triggers an adverse reaction, all my previous work will be for nothing, and you might never see again!"

At her words, everyone in the room grew solemn.

Nathaniel Monroe quickly chimed in, "Then you better not drink it, Walker. For the sake of seeing Chloe again, you have to resist."

Walker Grant: "..."

’This idiot...’

’Couldn’t he tell I was just making an excuse to send Chloe away?’

He sighed inwardly but still agreed. "Fine, I get it."

Fiona Linton turned to Chloe Reed with a small smile. "Chloe, don’t worry. If you’re unsure about anything from now on, just ask me. I won’t be far, and you can always text me."

"Mm."

Chloe Reed nodded.

’Thank goodness I went to find Fiona Linton instead of going straight to buy the coffee.’

She breathed an inward sigh of relief. As she glanced at Walker Grant, a flicker of doubt crossed her mind.

’Was he really just talking about work earlier?’

’He mentioned ’overseas’... Did he find Iris?’

Chloe Reed took out her phone and typed, "Do you have any news about Iris Yates and William Quinn?"

"No."

Walker Grant shook his head.

"Holy shit, that lunatic William Quinn! How do you guys know him?" Hearing the name, Fiona Linton’s eyes went wide.

Chloe Reed looked at her and typed, "You know him?"

"I’ve seen him twice!" Fiona Linton held up two fingers. "The first time was in a casino. He was chopping off a man’s finger. And do you know how he did it? He didn’t just do it in one clean cut. No, he sawed at the flesh, slicing that person’s finger off bit by bit..."

The memory alone made Fiona Linton shudder. It was the most insane, bloodiest scene she had ever witnessed!

And William Quinn had been completely ecstatic, as if he was relishing it?!

"The second time, he drove a tank straight into his grandfather’s birthday banquet, crushing several people to death right then and there!" Fiona Linton said, shuddering again. "I have never seen anyone more unhinged."

Nathaniel Monroe’s expression turned grim, his hands clenching into tight fists. With Iris in his hands, could she possibly be unharmed?

Chloe Reed’s face paled as well. She had heard of William Quinn’s madness and cruelty, but she never expected him to be *this* unhinged!

’It was simply beyond her comprehension of humanity.’

’Is he even human?’

Fiona Linton looked at them, her tone exceptionally grave. "Let me give you some advice: it’s best to have nothing to do with a person like that. Otherwise, you won’t even know when you’ve become his next target."

She paused, then asked as if she’d just connected the dots, "By the way, who is the Iris Yates you mentioned earlier?"

Chloe Reed closed her eyes briefly, then typed, "She’s my friend. She was taken by William Quinn."

Fiona Linton’s eyes widened in shock as she covered her mouth. "Your friend... how did she provoke him? He’s a genuine madman..."

Some things, she didn’t dare say so bluntly.

’There was no telling if Chloe’s friend was even still alive...’

Chloe Reed lowered her gaze, clearly not wanting to continue the conversation.

Nathaniel Monroe suddenly spun around and stormed off, practically radiating a towering rage. His eyes were filled with murderous intent.

"The hell? What’s his problem?" Fiona Linton asked, bewildered.
