Our demon king is coming. (formerly Mayday A Series)

38: Perselis, turn the flowers to the boy in the water coffin.

My name is Perselis.

of the Patriarchate, is called the Green Witch.

Behind the sanctuary Vabilofos lies a hidden underground garden that is not commonly known.

This is the heart of the original sanctuary. Only green witches and elected bishops are allowed in.

Also known as the Tomb of Truth.

I always feel clear water and sacred air in this place and pray.

What the hell are you praying for?

It's really a luxury to have to pray for this peace to continue on a peaceful southern continent, isn't it?

"You think so, too?

I laugh couscous, peeking into the face of a boy housed in one of the coffins of the water, at the roots of an ancient great tree present in the heart of the garden.

The boy says he's been sleeping in a coffin of water buried in the mossy earth of his roots since before I became a green witch.

Though I don't know how long I've been around.

Still young, about ten years old boy.

I never open my eyes because I'm dead, but my blue and white face is kept beautiful everywhere.

Watching this boy makes my chest bitter somewhere and I want to cry.

I can't help but feel nostalgic and can't get away from this kid's side.

I also fall asleep next to this boy's coffin today, telling him what happened that day and letting him hear it, and turning to the little white flowers that bloom here.

"It's been a long time since Ulysses arrived today. There's going to be an Episcopal Festival soon, isn't there? I went to show you my new costume. Ulysses always compliment me..."

The boy's eyes remain closed.

You can't even answer my throwing words.

"Ulysses - Ulysses Ugh"

"Yes, yes, I know."

I hugged him, like the usual greeting of an ordained one, who had just come to the sanctuary.

We were young, too, and now Ulysses is sixteen, and I'm fourteen.

When you're old enough to feel comfortable touching each other, Delgusta is loud.

"Perselis, your Highness is in trouble. Hey. Don't worry about it."

"Buh, crap. You won't lose it."

"... haha"

He laughs like he's in trouble if I don't complain and try to get away from Ulysses' arm.

Ulysses is so sweet.

It's sweet of me to stick with you, too, because you always hang out with me.

Love his soft vibe. Clear amethyst eyes color, light pigmented hair, and skin.

When I first met him, he thought he looked like a girl, but he's grown up a lot more recently here, and he's become a boy.

His calm condition remains the same, but did I mention that his appearance has caught up with him? Someone who is terminal everywhere and in silence.

The air around him is so nostalgic that I really want to cry.

But for some reason, watching Ulysses makes me sad.

I don't know.

I sleep in a water coffin in the garden, just like when I'm looking at that boy, I feel like I can tighten my chest.

That's been since I first met Ulysses.

But if I still can't get away from Ulysses, I'm sure I love him.

"Hey Ulysses. It's this year's Episcopal Festival costume. What do you say?"

"Yeah, you look great."

"Pretty?"

"Yeah, she's cute."

When I went to show him the festive witch clothes made of a light green, soft cloth, he let his eyes widen a little.

And Nico laughs and tells me you look good in a gentle voice. I'm so glad about that. But that's what Ulysses would say to any girl.

Just a little boring.

I swung left and right through more flimsy costumes than usual, and I swelled.

"Is that...? Why are you angry, Perselis?"

"Hmm. Ulysses would say that to any kid anyway, wouldn't he?

"No way... in a royal palace full of uncles, I don't even know who to say that to"

Haha, I see him laughing uncommonly loud and just a little ho.

Ulysses who are always nicotine, but that's because they always keep the product and they don't laugh a lot.

"Oh, yeah, yeah. I brought a new friend to Perselis.... Here."

Ulysses puts his hand on his shoulder and directs something.

When he cast a bump and a spell, there was a little owl spirit on his arm at some point.

"Wow..."

"The Spirit of the Wind, Van Trome."

"What's wrong!? This kid."

"Uh... he came in through the window in my room, so I kept my contract..."

Some very appropriate, vague reply. I think I'm hiding something, but, well, that's fine.

Anyway, that little owl is so cute. But it also looks a little like a big potato.

He has his big eyes punched and his neck tilted.

"Well, this is another adorable young lady, Lord Ulysses. Are you a girlfriend, ho"

"This is a fan. She's a green witch. Bishop Delgusta will burn you if you make a mistake."

"Well, that's horrible."

I was a little surprised my uncle smelled when I talked to the little owl.

But the Spirit lives a long time, so maybe it has nothing to do with how he looks and talks.

I stroked the spiritual head of that owl.

"Hello, fan. Perselis."

"This is the green witch Perselis. No, you feel nostalgic...... 2,000 years ago the green witch had beautiful young leaf colored hair like yours too...... oh, I miss you"

Fans miss something more as they turn their necks.

Speaking of green witches 2,000 years ago, he is the most powerful famous witch of all time, appearing a little in the anecdotes of the famous three great demon kings.

"This is a fan. Grandpa, the Spirit shouldn't be because this is it. It's good to immerse yourself in memories, but don't let Perselis get in trouble."

"Well, this is disrespectful"

The fan squeezes his big eyes again and turns his neck.

"Nevertheless, when Ulysses is a prince, what do you do to remember magic?

Ulysses has been reading a lot of white magic books here lately. Because there are so many white magic books here in the Vabel country.

He doesn't talk much about his magic, but he seems pretty good at it.

"Huh? Hmm......... well, you mean intrigued. I can protect myself, too. The Royal Palace is a dangerous place."

"But when the next ecclesiastical festival is over, the king will decide, won't he? Then Ulysses is no longer in danger."

"Hmmm...... I don't know if it's going to be that easy. Yeah, I hope so."

A slightly vague reply. He really doesn't talk much about himself.

I'm sure he thinks I'm just a kid.

"But I don't think I'm going to be king."

"Really?

"Yeah. Because it's your father who ultimately decides the next king, but if it stays the way it is, it's your uncle."

"Yes, Raymond did. But I've heard that the anti-eastern faction won't allow Raymond to be king. There could be a massive rebellion. The Alfreds are after it."

"... surprised. Surprisingly, you know a lot of things, Perselis."

……

You see.

Ulysses thinks of me as a young girl forever.

"Hmm. I'm a green witch to protect this southern continent. What the hell do you think you're doing?"

"Ha ha... oh my god. Sorry, sorry."

That's what I say, stroking my head to mis-moderate. I like it when Ulysses strokes my head, but it seems like I'm being treated like a child.

When Ulysses comes here, it's mostly before something bad happens.

Is he reading a white magic book or not, because it's something that has stopped on the same page since earlier?

"As a matter of fact, tomorrow... a messenger from the eastern continent will come and have a dinner party with all the royals"

"Don't you like it? Though it sounds like fun. What the hell kind of a messenger in the East?"

"It's one of the generals and the princess of the eastern power, Frezier... maybe by inviting the eastern royal family, I want to put in place some sort of system where my uncle will be the next king. Alfred's brother wouldn't call the messenger from the east first. I'm sure you want to look friendly and strengthen your cooperation... that's why it's so awkward to have a dinner party with the famous anti-eastern faction queen... actually."

All the circumstances of the royal palace come into my ears not least.

Delgusta doesn't really want to be informed, but the occasional Urbanus thing tells us all sorts of funny and funny things.

Does the Queen Adalziza hate humans in the Great East?

Ulysses doesn't seem to like the righteous queen.

Because I was looking depressed, I wanted to cheer him up and turned a big smile.

Ulysses told me that a long time ago. My smile will cheer me up.

"Well, it's not an ecclesiastical festival when that's over. I'm waiting for something fun."

"Right. If that's the case... I wish..."

……

Ulysses laughs with an occasionally very lonely face. This has been particularly true here lately.

I don't know why that is, but his amethyst-colored eyes seemed to look somewhere far away.

It's like waiting for someone, asking for someone...

It's easier to tell than to be told straight away that I can't do anything about his lonely face.

That's very, very heartbreaking.
