Parallel World Pharmacy
Chapter 3: 6: Preparing to Operate the Merseil Plant, a Different World Pharmacy
Under Pharma, who normally operates in different world pharmacies, the long-awaited news was delivered by means of a telegraph dove.
A pharmaceutical factory in Marseille has been completed.
"Finished, that was quick"
Pharmatically, I was prepared to have to wait on an annual basis, but I opened the lid and it was nearly six months from the start of construction.
"Farma, it's your sergeant, so it's different. And the Empire and the Temple are very well funded."
Ellen finds it horrible that Farma does not rely on the financial resources of the House of the Honourable, but procures whatever she needs with the financial resources she earns on her own.
You spend very little money on your own personal entertainment.
I guess that abnegation is attracting more and more endorsers, worshippers, Ellen analyzes.
Among the many aristocrats who fatten their private bellies, Pharma was astonishingly abnegate. It's not just because you're a child, you don't know the world, and you don't know how to fatten your personal belly.
"What do you make a factory? Ooh..."
Lotte accidentally held her mouth down as a treat. It seemed like an unconscious comment.
"It's not a treat, it's medicine."
Pharma laughs at the betty idea.
"Okay, right!
Lotte was embarrassed and turned bright red to her ears.
Shortly after its completion, Farma herself was ready by ordering from the vendors the instruments and tools necessary for experimentation and manufacture, using flights on medicinal sceptres to carry precision equipment quickly, and large instruments were allowed to be transported in carriages or to make material creations locally. The interior is not yet complete, but the building and the equipment itself are.
He also asked Adam, Lord Merseil's agent, to hire 200 factory workers locally. Pharma heads out to the Saint-Fluve Imperial School of Medicine when he finishes overhauling the factory's facilities.
They keep some strains of Actinomyces selected by Professor Casper for antibiotic production and carry them for mass production.
Having met with Pharma, Professor Casper entrusts Pharma with three stocks he has confidently chosen. I was about to regret it.
"Nice to meet you, Professor de Medicis. May these children help their patients."
Since before the professor took office, I'm already unfamiliar with Pharma for calling professors.
Still, there's no point in correcting it.
"I did keep it, Professor Casper. I will scale these fungi responsibly and turn them into antibiotic formulations. The medicine must go to the patient."
"It's a fungus we all found, it's all we found."
I guess Professor Casper was in the mood to entrust my child,
The box was wrapped with ribbon.
And there was a name on the lid.
Casper number one.
Eric, number two.
Alexis, number three.
Shaken in the carriage to Marseil, Ellen asks Pharma, who seemingly holds the box entrusted to her by Professor Casper.
"What is this, who?
Written on the top of the lid, I saw three names.
"I guess that's the name of the strain of Actinomyces. It says the name of the discoverer and the order in which it was discovered. Both Professor Eric and Assistant Alexis are co-researchers in this study."
Farma managed to interpret it, thinking of the names of the researchers involved in the study.
"Huh!? You name the fungus?
It says the name of the discoverer and the order in which it was discovered.
Looking at the attached explanatory letter, it was still the name of Professor Casper, and the other discoverers' named strains of fungus.
"Interesting way to name it."
Adorable professors, Ellen laughs.
"Yeah, well, I know what you want to name the invention, what you discover."
(Can the nomenclature be harmonized one of these days, or at least add a genus name, because even the genus Casper)
Professors Casper strained and named him, so Farma decided for a moment to acquiesce.
It is an honor and a privilege to name the discoverer. Besides, it doesn't mean it has to be like this. This is a different world, so there's no reason to follow the Earth's flux.
Kaku Pharma is also in his previous life and has several novel antibiotic strains (Pharmaceutical Valley Stock Series) under his name, he was named according to the nomenclature, but I can't tell you anything about Professor Casper, and I know how happy he is.
"Sure. Isn't this fungus special? I'm sure you had a lot of trouble finding and increasing that fungus."
That's what Ellen says, and I say a compliment to Professor Casper.
"What Professor Casper and his men did was a great feat."
"By the way, where is Actinomyces?
"Wait."
Pharma laughs mischievously, stopping the carriage and getting down outside, heading straight to the side of the road without hesitation.
"What? Bathroom?
Wherever Ellen tries to turn her back, Farma turns back and picks up the dirt and shows Ellen in the carriage, except on the surface of the ground.
Ellen, who was shown dirt, finds herself...
"Look, I'm here."
"Oh, could I be in this? The radiating fungus?
"Or, it's not something. Oh, my God."
Pharma grabbed the dirt and took his hands off. Ellen's back seemed itchy.
"Hi-no! You can hold it well, Mr. Farma! Aren't you creepy?
Ellen seems to have gotten sick, shaking all the time. Pharma abandoned the soil and washed her hands well with the generative water of divine art to return to the carriage. The carriage runs out.
Inside the carriage, Lotte seemed comfortable. Who was drooling in? When I promised to say, "If I'm Pharma, I won't be able to eat anymore." I repeated the bedtime phrase, "I knew it was a little bit."
It would be better to leave it at ease now.
"No, well, that's what soil is, a lot of bacteria, molds, and microbes live everywhere. Or because there's more bacteria on our skin than we can count."
Incidentally, there's the action of those microbes, and the soil has a purifying action, Farma explains.
"But the stocks that Professor Casper sorted are extraordinarily brilliant."
Professor Casper and his colleagues looked forward to seeing the extract of the active ingredient in the fungus become a medicine and actually be dosed to the patient.
Three species were discovered by Professors Casper:
① "Casper No. 1"/Caspar, No. 1
The scientific name of the Earth is Streptomyces griseus.
Streptomycin production bacteria candidate.
... antituberculosis drugs. Effective against tuberculosis, leprosy, pesto, etc.
② Eric No. 2/Eric, No. 2
The scientific name on Earth is Streptomyces mediterranei
rifamycin production bacteria candidate.
... semisynthetic and rifampicin is effective against tuberculosis, leprosy, etc.
③ "Alexis Kun No. 3"/Alexis, No. 3
The scientific name on Earth is Streptomyces peucetius
doxorubicin producing fungus candidate
... antineoplastic agents (works extensively such as malignant lymphoma, lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, breast cancer, bladder tumor, osteosarcoma, etc.)
Professor Casper and the others won't know the exact effect of the drug, but Pharma does.
"That's very effective. It's like lying that leprosy, leprosy, and cancer can heal from leukoderma."
"I'm not lying. The actinomycetes have that power."
"Farma, you or Professor Casper, how did you know that the fungus would make that medicine? And you narrowed it down to these three species?
How did you identify (I know it was that drug), Farma didn't do a complex analysis.
In his enlarged vision, one of his cheat abilities, he doesn't even see the structure of the compound.
So I simply used the ability to erase.
If you reverse the ability to erase, it can also be used to discern drugs.
That's what Pharma called the antibiotic he knew from one end, and the medicine disappeared. This method of identification was extremely accurate.
But Pharma was not satisfied with this, and he also thought that for the sake of the local population, other methods of inspection would have to be considered.
"Why?
"Huh? Oh, that's still a secret. I'll tell you when the time comes."
To Ellen's simple question, Farma had no answers available.
"How come it doesn't just smell like water in here? - What do you mean?"
"Ha, sorry"
I had to laugh and deceive.
"Already... well, let me know when the time comes again"
"Anyway, Professor Casper and all the researchers at the School of Medicine, I think I've often found this much in a short period of time, really. Two antibacterials, one anticancer!
Pharma rearranges and impresses.
Even though Pharma and Professor Casper took the lead, it was because in a short period of time they found three antibiotics that were splendidly useful. Professor Casper, if I had done my research personally, it would have been necessary on a ten-year basis.
(Now, even if I'm not gone, people in this world alone can fight quite a few illnesses)
Pharma can't wait to be happy. His work will also be diminished one by one.
But don't be happy with this.
We need to take it so that we can produce it in bulk! and Pharma pulls herself together.
"It's amazing how many researchers were put into a single study in unison, citing the total power of the university."
This is unprecedented, Ellen groans.
Most of the researchers said they had interrupted their research and participated. This is also impossible.
However, it presented a treasure hunt.
If you become the first discoverer, you will be named. I guess I was blind to that honor.
"My name is on the pill, and I admire it."
Ellen shudders. To the will of Saint-Fluve Imperial School of Medicine, I saw Bruno's seriousness. A major project at the Saint-Fluve Imperial School of Medicine is ongoing in order to discover other antibiotic-producing fungi. That Novarut Pharmaceutical University also said it was following trends in the Imperial Pharmaceutical School.
"You can look,” Ellen, fungus number four. "I'll tell you what to do."
Pharma looks serious and recommends it to Ellen.
"I'll find something that's not fungus."
Ellen, who felt sick about the fungus and didn't like it, waved both hands and was instantly dismissed.
"Sounds like Ellen."
While doing so, officials from different world pharmacies traveled to Merseil territory for a day to inspect the factory, which had just been completed.
It is also known as the "Merceil Plant, a different world pharmacy".
Going around the gate in front of the factory, Farma, Ellen, Lotte and Cedric were greeted by Adam, the acting lord entrusted with the construction of the factory, in an upright immobility.
"Dear Farma. Long journey, hard work."
"Thanks for all the arrangements, Mr. Adam"
Pharma was coming and going with the drug sceptre to see the factory complete, but this is the first reveal for the rest of the staff.
With its vast grounds, the stone factory spreads with prestigious fun in front of them.
"Wow! This factory is so big!
Lotte can be stopped by Cedric when he says he wants to run around the factory, from the end of the factory to the end, and gets buttered. I can't even recommend Pharma because there will be three kilometers around the factory.
"It's like a little palace, wow! Farma, it's bigger than your mansion, isn't it?
Ellen also raised an exclamation.
The fact that it was larger than the premises of the de Medicis family was considerable.
Where on earth in the world would there be pharmacies, pharmacies and pharmacies that are trying to unite the public and private sectors to build such a large production base and make medicines for patients? With that said, Ellen honestly praises Pharma's feat when he gets this far.
"It's a splendid thing."
Cedric was also impressed.
It's a huge facility that neither looks nor he's ever seen before.
From the front yard of the pharmaceutical factory, he entered the front door of the factory.
"Boo!
Farma, who was in the lead, erupted as she entered the front door.
The open space overlooking the hotel's entrance hall features an equally sized bronze statue of the founder Farma de Medicis!
"What is this! I didn't have it until a few days ago!
Ellen and Lotte chuckle at Pharma, who protests desperately.
"Oh, it's a donation from the village of Estaak. I finished it the other day. If it please you, I have carried you."
Lords proxy Adam soaks up.
"Now we have the bronze statue of the founder of the factory," said Adam, because of a donation of gold coins.
"I knew it was Estaak Village!
Pharma gives up, saying it could be because it's about them.
"Dear Farma, try to line up next to the bronze statue"
Lotte told me, Farma lay on the side. The bronze statue was quite beautified. The bronze statue has a twitchy white hem and looks far away as she wraps her arms.
Pharma posed the same with reference to the bronze statue. I also make faces.
"What do you say?"
With a sinister face, Farma asked the three of them.
Bronze statues are more beautiful.
Ellen and Lotte laugh and look at each other, Cedric grinning and cheering. The founder was twisted.
"He said to take extra care of me!
"If there seems to be an inconvenience here, shall I take the bronze statue to the factory garden"
Adam turns his mind. But the fact that my bronze statue rained in the garden was also a pharma that became kind of pathetic about me.
"Here's fine."
The more the joke, the more the factory tour.
The interior of the stone factory was thoroughly cleaned and kept clean so that the room could be found for each process and one piece of dust eliminated. In addition, Pharma applied the plague sanctuary beforehand, so the cleanliness is even higher. Farma had to be plain careful not to ”sterilize” and kill even the stray bacteria when deploying the sanctuary, as he brought in the stray bacteria in the future.
The professor who adores the fungus like a child pisses me off.
Although there is no electrical system, it is considerably more modern than the Imperial School of Medicine, a small research facility at a different world pharmacy. Pharmaceutical manufacturing plants consisting of a number of large tanks and pipelines were required for the mass culture of Actinomyces. For the testing of pilot plants, tests were carried out at the Imperial School of Medicine with harmless fungal species. He is now hiring a large number of craftsmen and technicians to build five plants. It will still take some time for these plants to be completed and fully operational.
A line that came to the laboratory attached to the pharmaceutical factory, on the premises. It's a research facility with a sterile room.
"Professor Casper's fungus, show me!
Ellen is intrigued when she washes her hands, wears gloves, wears clean clothes and enters the sterile room. Lotte and Cedric are dressed and toured, not sure.
"I want to see it too. Shall I open it?"
Wipe the box with alcohol, unwrap the pink ribbon and open the box containing Professor Casper's children.
Six chalets came out of it. Plates planted with seed bacteria of Actinomyces. Then a test plate as an antibiotic. Various kinds of Actinomyces are planted in the middle of the cold weather chalet where the bacteria are applied throughout.
A circle of other bacteria that had not grown had been formed so as to surround its actinic bacteria.
Radiobacterium produces antibiotics to suppress development of other bacteria, and develops an antibiotic-producing region where other bacteria are unable to grow, a circle called a "growth arrest circle".
"Something cool about this circle."
Ellen understands what that means and nods.
"Right."
"How come there's no Mowa Mowa growing around here?
Lotte also seemed to wonder.
Ellen seems to have changed her view of Actinomyces.
It is the ability acquired in the course of evolution to compete for the survival of Actinomyces.
"Around this circle, we're able to produce exactly antibiotics now?
Ellen is impressed by how easy it is to see and understand.
"That sort of thing"
From the looks of it, it would be a weird bunch of people peeking into a moldy plate.
But this is inside the pharmaceutical factory, so it's not a problem.
"Isolated fungus."
Ellen sends a thermal gaze.
"Increase this fungus in bulk, extract and purify antibiotics from it"
After Pharma, Lotte connected the words.
"Then, for all of you in need, you create a lot of drugs!
That's exactly what Lotte said while tense and jumping on the spot remained.
(Yes, we're going to make a lot of pills. with the power of people in this world, not my cheats)
Farma's temper is tight, too.
It was the first step to rooting pharmaceutical technology into this world.
