One breath later.

The blood cloud was completely devoured.

The stone stele’s surface, blank just moments ago, now crawled with dense blood-red patterns, wriggling like insects, looking utterly nauseating.

"Snap!"

The Demon Leader twisted off one of his fingers and flung it at the stele.

The severed finger struck the stone and, as if touching liquid, silently melted into it.

The writhing speed of the blood-red patterns suddenly surged.

"Ah—"

An extremely shrill wail abruptly erupted from within the stele.

The Demon Leader roared, his expression ferocious: "Kill!"

The other five Demons bellowed in unison: "Kill!"

The very next instant.

"Boom!"

The stele shuddered violently.

The surrounding corpses seemed to be crushed by an invisible force, disintegrating one after another into fine dust.

A surge of blood mist gushed out of the stele, forming a circular gate, its interior a dense mass of blood-red.

The Demon Leader stepped in first, the other Demons closely on his heels.

The blood churned, its color quickly fading away, within it appearing a series of fragmented, shattered images.

The Demon Leader said in a deep voice, "Everyone, get ready."

As soon as he finished speaking, an extremely powerful Strong Manifestation erupted from within his body; his right hand lifted, poised to strike.

The other Demons mirrored his movement.

There was no doubt that once they jumped to Yang Fan’s side, they would unleash the fiercest possible attack.

Right at that moment.

A faint voice suddenly drifted out of the blood: "Mr. Demons, welcome. I’ll have to trouble you all to go on ahead and scout the way for me."

It was Yang Fan’s voice.

All six Demons blanched in shock.

Even if they were idiots, they could tell that they had been played by the Canglan Spirit Crow.

The Demon Leader immediately spun around and lunged toward the gate at his fastest speed, trying to get out of here.

But it was already too late.

"Boom!"

A sound like illusory thunder cracked.

The gate turned hazy in an instant, the blood color draining away at high speed.

A ruined world materialized out of nothing before the six Demons.

They were standing on an enormous plaza, no less than fifty thousand square meters in area.

Many statues had collapsed across the plaza, and the ground was strewn with humanoid skeletons, but judging from their shapes, they were not the remains of Canglan People.

There were also several large wrecks that seemed to be metal machinery scattered in different corners of the plaza, with heaps of metal components littered around each wreck.

It was easy to see that some kind of extremely terrible catastrophe had once struck this place.

Beyond the plaza.

The light became extremely dim; only vague, blurry silhouettes could be seen.

The eeriest thing was that everything here had lost its color. The world consisted only of black and white, like an old, faded monochrome photograph.

One Demon’s face was grim: "How did the Canglan Spirit Crow know we were planning to ambush him?"

No one answered.

Because none of them knew.

Another Demon glanced around and couldn’t help asking, "Where is this place?"

The Demon Leader shook his head, his tone thick with unease: "No idea, but I have a very bad feeling about this place."

As he spoke, the words had barely fallen.

A voice laced with amusement descended as though from the sky, yet also seemed to rise from beneath the ground: "Gentlemen, this is a far ancient relic. You are the first guests to visit in tens of thousands of years."

The six Demons all jolted together.

The Canglan People didn’t know the full story of the far ancient relics, but the Demons knew very well that every such relic was extremely dangerous.

To be precise, within each relic there was bound to remain some utterly terrifying power, a force that had withstood the erosion of endless time and preserved the relic itself. Otherwise, it would long ago have been ground to dust by the natural world.
