Chapter 1198 - 599: Double Standards for Cuckoldry, Camel Mantis_2
"So I died at the hands of that Radiant Queen of the Desert Empire?"
"And my [Eternal Lake Light] was lost there too?"
His power might be great, but getting beaten to death while trying to pick flowers wasn’t exactly a first for him.
He couldn’t help silently vowing in his heart that sooner or later he’d steal that [Radiant Queen], maybe even seize the Desert Empire itself, gnawing down the largest human fortress there is.
Riding on a sea of human resources to charge straight into Sixth Order Demigod, reaching a realm his true body had never touched, becoming the real Lancelot, not some cheap copy!
Only right now he’d just resurrected, his strength was at rock bottom, just like the son who’d been eaten—only Fourth Order power.
He was just about to head out to find a human city under his rule, planning to use an entire city’s population to restore his strength to its peak, when he suddenly heard a faint sound coming from the Royal Palace garden outside the window.
It was like someone had deliberately muffled it, so that only a Fifth Order powerhouse with a Mind Realm as keen as his could pick it up.
Swap him for that worthless Mythical Creature son of his, and there’d absolutely be no way he’d sense a thing.
"Your Majesty the Queen, Lancelot has snatched so many women over the years that his love has been sliced into a thousand tiny pieces.
He carouses outside while you keep watch over an empty bed in the Royal Palace—I’ve always felt you’re getting a raw deal."
"From now on, whenever Lancelot isn’t here, let me be the one to comfort you. Not just on some particular day or night—but day and night, every day, every night."
Lancelot, who already had his hand on the doorknob inside the room, suddenly had his expression change:
"That voice is my Prime Minister...Pan God!"
In the Jupiter Divine System, "Pan" is the son of [God of Commerce] Mercurius.
His mythical form has a human head and torso, with the legs, horns, and ears of a mountain goat—in other words, the typical Half-goat Man.
Pan likes playing the pan flute, and the flute he plays has hypnotic power.
On top of that, he’s insanely lecherous, often hiding in bushes waiting for Nature Nymphs to pass by, then jumping out to profess his love.
In the Jupiter Divine System, the half-man half-goat Pan is the symbol of Creation, Music, poetry, and sex, and at the same time the emblem of panic and Nightmare.
Lancelot had accepted this newborn Activated knowledge into his realm a hundred years ago, making him part of his own country.
He would often borrow Pan’s ability to meet lovers in their dreams, making it far easier to win over Queens’ hearts when it came time to act for real.
Because they worked together so smoothly, Lancelot once regarded him as his trusted aide.
But now it seemed he’d actually raised a heartfelt trouble—and the kind that had long harbored ill intent, aiming to usurp the master’s place.
Just then, he heard that woman he’d grabbed last time, who’d been married to him for seven or eight years now, whisper:
"Don’t..."
Hearing his own Queen refuse, Lancelot actually felt quite comforted.
He might be a Beastman, but he had no special fetish for being a "bull"; naturally he hoped the Queen would be absolutely faithful to him, even if he’d already grown sick of her himself.
There was no doubt about it, Lancelot was a double-standard freak.
But the Queen’s next words knocked his heart straight into the abyss.
"Not in the garden—let’s go to the bedroom.
Didn’t you say it feels better when we make love in front of Lancelot’s portrait? Today, I, the Queen, will grant your wish."
When Lancelot realized earlier that he’d lost his [Eternal Lake Light], his face was already black with a tinge of blue.
Now, hearing this, his face went green on the spot; his hair kindly joined in and dyed itself a ghastly shade of green as well. A low growl rumbled out of his throat:
"Adulterous dog and cheating whore—I’ll make you wish you were dead!"
Just listen to that—any idiot could tell this obviously wasn’t their first time.
If he’d come back normally instead of dying first, he wouldn’t even have discovered their affair.
However, Pan God was also a Fifth Order Activated knowledge, currently at full strength.
Lancelot had only just resurrected; before recovering his power he couldn’t possibly beat this Prime Minister, didn’t even dare go face him, for fear of being killed a second time.
[Copy Bookmark] hadn’t yet been planted in anyone else’s [Life Book]; if he got killed again now, Lancelot’s myth might not be re-Activated by the Corridor of Truth for another hundred or two hundred years.
He let out a fart and slumped back down into his chair, mind in chaos as he picked up a book, but he couldn’t take in a single word.
His sharp senses clearly captured the obscene noises from his own bedroom, and every now and then they’d even use him as a flirting prop. The "creak creak" of the bed nearly had him grinding his molars to dust.
And it was still daytime!
He could only keep consoling himself over and over: "You dare Betray me? Just wait till I get my strength back—I’ll make your deaths too horrible to look at."
For the first time, he personally experienced what it meant to "be strict when greening others, and lenient when greening yourself."
Every single minute and second was sheer torture.
Day turned to Dark Night, then Dark Night back to day—only then did Pan God and his radiant, Beauty-drenched Queen finally emerge from the bedroom again.
Pan God, who wielded Nightmare Authority, had long since put everyone to sleep; no one noticed anything strange about them at all.
After listening to them go at it all day and night, Lancelot was green from head to toe and practically coughing up blood; he finally breathed a sigh of relief, just as he was about to slip out of the Royal Palace—when his ears suddenly pricked up again.
"Huh? Father, what brings you here?"
There was only one person Pan God could call "father," and that was [God of Commerce] Mercurius.
Pan God was also Activated knowledge, but unlike Lancelot he hadn’t been born naturally.
He was a helper whom Mercurius had deliberately cultivated for himself while traveling the world, to increase the efficiency of finding "Father Jupiter."
