Chapter 1188 - 596: Imperial Territory: Sun Knight vs. Lake Light Knight (Part 4)
Confidently boasting: "Which company excels in excavator technology? Find Power King in the Golden Empire!"
The terrain of Distant View Port is flat, without special geographical considerations. Ready-made blueprints can be used immediately, causing the construction site to be bustling with activity in no time.
The chant echoed loudly:
"Only those of no use to society would take a break! Every port on the sea is the brilliance of our youth!"
"....."
Byron’s consciousness withdrew as the Mud Swamp Giant sank back into the water to transport the ore veins and set up defenses.
Meanwhile, Violet led a group of whale oil mechanics and naturalists to explore nearby mineral deposits and drew maps.
Though not aiming to turn the place into a new manufacturing hub, they needed to be self-sufficient in simple whale oil bullets, sailor swords, and copper and iron parts for warship repairs.
This would enable Distant View Port to serve as their logistics center and fortress bridgehead.
Yet, Violet, wholly immersed in her work, failed to notice a black-armored knight silently watching her from within the dense woods.
His gaze was fervent, his burning eyes almost becoming tangible.
"Yes, it’s her, is her name Violet?
She carries the scent of the North Sea’s winds and the chill of the northern snowfields; indeed a beautiful queen from the homeland’s Strait Islands.
Though she doesn’t yet compare to my Guinevere, she is the one most resembling my beloved Guinevere among all the queens I’ve encountered in the past centuries.
I returned to the mortal world in another form, but Guinevere remains forever asleep in the Netherworld.
Only by stealing beautiful queens from unappreciative kings could I somewhat fill the emptiness of millennia and again relish the taste of life.
If I win this Queen Violet, with our similar nature, perhaps I could summon my Guinevere from myth.
I must have her!"
Yet he stood completely unhidden there.
But when the Golden Law Network, spanning nearly a hundred kilometers, passed by him, it automatically created a vast loophole, offering no warning to Violet.
Compared to Byron’s entry of [Outlaw Madman], it held no less strength.
Glancing at the increasingly potent Golden Law aggregating the local residents’ mind wish power beside him, the Black-armored Knight smirked disdainfully:
"Truly remarkable.
To create one’s own [Golden Law] outside of [Silver Law], and even expand to the Corridor of Truth.
If I were merely a common Fifth Order Pseudo-God, the Law Network might have discovered me.
But I’m a living legend, a living myth.
The very spark that led to the downfall of the Twelve Knights of the Round Table, the fall of the Knight King, the downfall of the Empire—all are dead, while Guinevere and I are alive and well.
Thus, powers inherited from legend, things like [Royal Iron] and law, are mere stepping stones to me.
No law, however mighty, can deal with the nemesis of the royal family that I am.
I quite anticipate tonight, when I silently appear in your room, inviting you to engage in a grand spectacle of ’courtly love’—your expression would be utterly delightful."
The knight’s hand gripping the sword hilt tightened and then relaxed, as the already bothersome sun in the sky wouldn’t set until later, increasing his irritation.
Until he noticed Violet about to lead a group into the mine, his eyes suddenly lit up, thinking perhaps he wouldn’t have to wait until night to achieve his desire.
However, just as he turned to follow stealthily,
he suddenly noticed, on the slope behind him, when he turned, a Heavy Armored Knight had quietly appeared under the guise of the [Golden Law] National Border Lock.
A pair of eyes staring at him full of deep-seated loathing and hatred.
Such an unexpected development made the Black-armored Knight instinctively halt his steps.
Feeling the familiar Sun Spirit Light about the opponent, his eyes flickered briefly before blurting out:
"You are...[Sun Knight] Gawain?!"
A jolt in his heart reminded him that while he evaded the Golden Law, he couldn’t escape the fate entwining the Twelve Knights of the Round Table.
He unexpectedly ran into his arch-nemesis Gawain while encountering a homeland queen.
[Sun Knight] Gawain and Guardian Knight [Iron Wall] Bruh’s shouts suddenly merged:
"[Lake Light Knight] Lancelot, return the lives of our three brothers! Kill—!"
Brilliant white light exploded through the forest.
Mounted atop the Fairy Horse Glingrett, standing over three meters tall, akin to an iron-armored war chariot, the Heavy Knight leaped, wielding the [Sun Holy Sword] in a powerful slash.
Zrrrk—!
The blazing sword light split the entire forested land with a thunderous roar.
