Pivot of the Sky

Chapter 12 012. Secrets of the Spirit

The old madman Nietzsche, like Amon, was a miner in Duke, a hundred decades ago. At that time, the region of Barun, Assyria and Hati was experiencing chaotic wars, and the rulers of the State of Syria were barely able to change their minds. The living conditions in the town of Duke were much worse than they are today, often lacking material for subsistence.

The marginal land here can only grow a small amount of barley and bean fruit bellies, and there are few flocks of sheep on the edge of the black fire jungle. In the spring of the year, the sheep ate up. Nietzsche really felt like he had no taste in his mouth, so he went hunting in the deep mountain jungle east of the town. Strong miners can also be good hunters, and while it's dangerous deep in the jungle, old lunatics have played wild in the margins since they were little.

This time Nietzsche went a long way, all the way to hunting and roasting into meat and pine backs, unconsciously have passed through the deep mountain with the cave dwarf distribution, into the dangerous underwater river canyon. While chasing a antler, he accidentally lost his foot from the walls. Fortunately, he was surrounded by vines in the middle of the sky. After breaking many vines, he stabilized himself and climbed into a very hidden place. As a result, a newly dead body was found under the rock in a rainshelter facing the inner depression and obtained the relic of the man.

The deceased, an intermediate-ranking theologian, fled the pursuit in a mixed war using divine props, and fell into this remote area with serious bodily injury and finally died. The magician came from the Temple of Marduk in Baron, where Baron was at war with Hattie, and he was supposed to be the enemy of Hattie, who left his last words and wrote them on the wall of the hole with a knife.

What makes Nietzsche different from a regular miner in Duke Town is that he can read. Nietzsche's grandfather, who was a former registrar in the town of Duke, did not know which dynasty laws had been violated during the war and was punished with deprivation of the lowest degree of nobility. He spent the last few years of his life teaching his grandson to learn mudboard knives.

Nietzsche falls far away from human smoke, across from the steep underwater river and behind the precarious cliff. Lacking food and medicine, the severely wounded sorcerer struggled in pain to pray to the gods of Marduk for seven days and seven nights in an attempt to obtain pity and redemption, and finally despaired before his death.

In his will, the desperate sorcerer stated that he no longer wanted to return to the temple and that, if anyone could find him, he would ask to be buried here in the traditional manner of his family and to bring his relics to his wife and children. In return, the theologian left behind what he knew as the secret to the practice of the divine arts, not only in the lower to middle stages, but also in what he himself had not yet studied and how to advance from the middle to the upper order. His relics contained a stamped staff and several precious artefacts.

Nietzsche's life has since changed and he has studied divinity. Fortunately, he was not seriously injured. Fortunately, there was enough food in his backpack. He stayed here for several days, documented all the magic and buried the magician. Relying on his strong body, a few days later he climbed the cliff with the magician's relic, Shundo.

Everyone in Duke town thought Nietzsche had disappeared and died in the dark depths of the jungle, but ten years later Nietzsche returned to Duke town, claiming to have been captured by cave wildlings while hunting, and had been enslaved in the villages of the wildlings for 10 years, until now he finally had a chance to escape the mountains.

No one knows that Nietzsche was already a magician at this time, having just returned from a long trip to Barren City, the capital of the Kingdom of Barren.

He went to Barron City to return the relic of the magician, and Nietzsche was already a Level 3 magician, careful enough to cope with many conditions along the way. In the outside world, Nietzsche realized the peculiarities of the mineral craftsmanship he had learned since childhood. By the time he acquired the relic of the magician, he had the equivalent of a second-degree samurai with hands and reactions to save a life when he fell off a cliff, not entirely by luck.

But after obtaining the legacy of the magician, he carried out the "awakening of strength” ceremony, but obtained the strength bestowed by the so-called gods, which communicated with the energy of the outside world. Of course, he chose to study theology.

In Barron City, Nietzsche finally found the widow of the magician, but found the family abandoned and in difficulty. The status of the Temple Priest is mostly hereditary and inherited by the son or first-born son of the family who is best suited for the practice of divinity. The priest is a priest of the Temple of Marduk in Barren City. His only son is not yet a minor and cannot inherit the status of a priest.

The whereabouts of the husband were unknown, and the widow of the magician owed a large sum of money over the years. The debtor, a nobleman in the city, asked the widow to marry him in order to gain territory and inherit her husband's priesthood, which was common in wartime.

Nietzsche's arrival unravelled the widow of the cleric, whose relics were valuable and amounted to almost half of his family's fortune, without which his disappearance would not have caused so much hardship to the family.

The widow was very grateful to Nietzsche and, out of kindness, told him privately: "If, according to my husband's will, you have studied magic privately and have made achievements and become a magician, don't reveal yourself until you become a great magician, then everything could change dramatically, if you are so lucky! ”

After that, she told Nietzsche to leave as soon as possible, otherwise there might be trouble. Her fears were true, and Nietzsche was pursued after leaving Barren City, perhaps for the sake of exasperation by the unsuccessful nobleman. Nietzsche used the magic trick to kill the man who chased him, worried about his magician's identity being leaked, and dived back into Duke Town.

Nietzsche has lived in Duke for another decade and, like other miners, has no abnormalities. Ten years later, he again left the Tuco town distant mainland, and did not appear to have taken into account the decree that "Tuco's listed miners must not leave without permission”, when he was already a Class 7 magician.

Nietzsche traveled all over the Tianjin continent for another decade and had had many thought-provoking experiences, and when he returned to Duke Town he was already a Class 8 Magician. It was said that the then mayor had also tried to hold Nietzsche accountable for his unauthorized departure, but somehow that had not happened. Nietzsche has lived in town ever since, and no one has bothered him, treating him like an old lunatic with good nonsense.

Physical and divine arts cannot be practiced at the same level. This is the ordinance and law since ancient times. After Nietzsche received the relics of the magician, he awakened the "power given by the gods” and began to specialize in divine arts and attain near the highest achievement. But then there was the problem that bothered him, before he learned the art of divinity, that he had actually begun to learn techniques similar to physical techniques and had reached the level of a secondary samurai.

When the men of Duke Town were adults, the ceremony of blessing at the Temple of Mourin, presided over by a priest, was in fact similar to an awakening ceremony of some kind of power.

Nietzsche didn't know anything about it at the time, so he gave up physical surgery and went to complete theology, and became a great magician. So he began to wonder what unknown secrets might be in there, but when he wanted to start studying physics again, he found it incredibly difficult, and even when he was younger, the power of the secondary samurai was lost, and his strength was barely equal to that of the primary samurai.

After all, he is old and has not had physical exercises for many years. Having Level 8 magic makes him powerful, but it is good to maintain physical health and be stronger than ordinary people. This unsuccessful attempt frustrated Nietzsche and, at the same time, made him even more confused, as if he were plagued by the fact that his magical achievements had always broken below the ninth level.

So Nietzsche often disappeared from the town of Duke and came back for a while, and of course nobody cared about the old lunatic anymore. Old lunatics listen to anecdotes of interest to themselves all over the continent, stories of famous archmages and warriors, their lives and practices, and legends of the great temples about the gods.

The old madman began to suspect that some of the so-called spirits in the story resembled the existence of the demigod and were no different from the Nine Great Magicians or the Nine Great Warriors. So, are they just demigods or became true gods later? In that case, is it possible for mortals to become immortal gods? If so, how can you be a god?

He also suspects that theology and body surgery can be practiced in the same order, or are originally integrated, but are artificially divided into two parts, making it difficult to practise in the same order. There may be something undiscovered in it that contains the secret of becoming a god.

The old lunatic didn't get the answer, and when he was over a hundred years old, he realized he was no longer in a position to personally prove it, so he put his hopes in the transmitter. After searching for a long time in many places, he finally found a very qualified child in a small village belonging to Cape Town State, a son of a shepherd named Bell.

The old lunatic taught Bell everything he knew, hoping he could solve the mystery of thinking about himself for the rest of his life.

Needless to say, the last place Bell fled was also in the deep mountain canyon forests of the River Junior, and he might want to come to Duke Town looking for the old lunatics, but he couldn't get rid of the massive army chase. Without knowing what magic Bell had done to a cat, the cat had been able to cross the periphery and the dangerous mountains to Duke Town, bringing a message to the old lunatic.

It wasn't the cat who spoke, and one of Bell's best magic tricks was information magic, and he sealed a message on the cat. The message disappeared naturally after the old madman read it by magic.

Bell sent the following message:

Respected Teacher -

Your guess should be right, mortals cannot be gods, and the secret lies in the practice of divinity and body art. Either way, breaking through the ninth level or above is the achievement of the gods. But pure cultivation or physical arts, it was incredibly difficult, and there was virtually no possibility of re-engineering, and that's the conclusion I came to after looking at the biographical data of countless great warriors and great magicians in history.

And in fact, it's impossible to practise theology and body surgery in the same order, at least that's what we see. With one exception, the most basic and almost insignificant Duke Town mineral craftsmanship was the first teacher you taught me. But you are also a miner in Duke Town, and you have achieved a great deal in specialty theology, but you have not been able to make a breakthrough physically, except for age and physical reasons, which is really confusing.

I may have discovered a secret over the years that physical exercises, like divine exercises, need to pass different tests. This test is not specifically mentioned, and those advanced samurai may have inadvertently met the requirements without a clear and clear summary. If this is the way the gods left it, then it is possible that some content may have been deliberately ignored from the outset.

There are far more practitioners of physical arts than practitioners of divine arts, and many do not know what tests they inadvertently pass, but think they rely on hard exercise, tenacity and a little unclear luck. They're right, but I'm going to unlock the secret behind this luck.

I have studied the experiences of countless samurai, both low- and high-ranking, and have summarized some patterns in their experiences that may have been deliberately overlooked by the scriptures.

If theology and body surgery were to be one and combine them as a cultivation method, then there is also a special order, just as the tone is generally not to be confused, otherwise there is no way to cultivate at the same level, and only one achievement can be abandoned to achieve another.

It would be difficult to give up what has been gained and come back if we had gone astray from the beginning. I'm not sure about that. It's still just speculation. The secret to becoming a god may be in there. Even if it is indeed the secret of becoming a god, the vast majority can only look forward to sighing, for it is quite rare in this world, whether it be a 9th level magician or a 9th level warrior.

I'm thinking about the summary, and there's no definitive conclusion yet. I took away the tears of the Virgin and Goddess of Isis Temple, which may have helped me to unlock this secret, and I could not escape being hunted down by a large number of magicians and samurai, only to convey this message to your teacher first.

- Your student, Bell

The old lunatic finally finished his story and sat down again to start drinking in silence. Amon hasn't spoken for half a day. Even if he has a stomach problem, he can't ask. These topics seem too deep for him, too deep to imagine.

Unconsciously, they had been talking all afternoon, and the sky was getting darker, and Amon had to go home for dinner. At this time, the old madman had drank out a can of wine, but his eyes were not a little drunk, just a little tired, put down the glass and said: "Amon, I was watching you grow up and nurturing you from a young age, your potential and qualities are even better than Bell's. ”

Amon shouted "Ah”, but didn't answer the phone. I thought the old lunatic had something to say. It seemed like he was going to do something about it.

Indeed, the old madman went on to say to himself, “I was going to train you to be a brilliant archmage, but every time I think of the message from Bell, I always feel that I should be more careful, and I can't go wrong with the first step. ”

“Me...?” Amon said only half a sentence.

The old madman looked at him and smiled. The smile was a little sneaky: “Of course it was you, otherwise I wouldn't have to teach you so much all these years. You would write two general words on the continent, and I would teach you another way to mine the stones so that your body and spirit could get the best exercise, but you didn't really learn magic and gymnastics. This is the day you wait. ”

“What's wrong with this day? ”

The old madman didn't answer, and turned the subject around and said, "Amon, if you become a magician, you should know from my experience with Bell that to be safe, you have to wait until the day you become a great magician. Of course, samurai status can be a good cover, if you study both physical and divine arts.... son, don't you want to? Even in return for an old man like me, you shouldn't refuse. ”

Amon reached out and touched his head and said, "Yes, what am I unwilling to do? I'm just the son of an ordinary miner in town. Why would I say no? Even if it weren't for you, I would, and you wouldn't hurt me. ”

The old madman was grinning: "Hurt you? I don't know if I'm hurting you. But I often think of Bell, and I'm afraid he'd be very willing to be murdered by me if that were to hurt him to have such a wonderful life. … I have only one wish for you, too, to unlock the secrets of the gods. ”

AMON: “You're so far away, I can only imagine how I can compare it to Bell's achievements now. ”

The old madman shook his head: “If you can't do it artificially, you probably won't succeed, but if you don't solve the mystery, you'll live in a world of chaos forever, so at least we can try. ”

Amon: “What do you want to teach me? ”

The old madman nodded with satisfaction: “You are a special child. Though shocked and confused, listening to me say so many incredible things, you remain calm and awake. … tell you what, I don't know what kind of secret Bell finally solved, but I've made one thing clear to myself. ”

Amon: “What is it? ”

Old lunatic: “That's the first step to power. ”

Amon: “Wake up both forces at once? You already have a plan? ”

The old madman laughed again: "You're so smart. I immediately thought of that when I introduced you. However, there is a slight deviation, either to awaken both forces at the same time or to awaken one force, which consists of two sides in one. I look back at the experience of my life, which goes back to its origins and is inspired by the mining skills of Duke Town.

Gabrielle asks if you have studied physical arts, but you haven't. It's just that you have a strong body, plus a little bit of unfinished magic skills. Now I'm going to test you to see if you can start waking up that power. But be aware that awakening the power of both sides of this body is also awakening the desire of both sides, which also contains the first test that practitioners face but are ignored. ”

Amon: “How do you want to test me? ”

The old lunatic's eyes narrowed into a stitch: "You go to the fountain tonight to do one thing and come back to me when it's done. ”

This Chapter Divine Background -

Marduk: The Kingdom of Baron symbolizes the Lord God of the Crown and is the ancient patron saint of Baron City. In mythological legends, he belongs to the same divine line as Enrir, the Lord God of Assyria and the Kingdom of Hati. Marduk's father is said to be Aea, and “Aea” and “Enrir” are the sons of the god Anu.
