Pivot of the Sky

Chapter 280 281. Evolution of peace

Mu Yun finally understood what kind of divine kingdom it was, and concealed it: “Marduk can really imagine how to create such a divine kingdom. The more gods he depends on the divine kingdom, the greater his knowledge and theoretical infinity. ”

Amon nodded and said, "Yeah, he sought this vow in the world, breaking through the end of this vow in the kingdom of God, and I had a similar vow, but the vows were different, so I founded my kingdom. ”

Amon and Mu Yun explore in heaven what kind of divine kingdom Marduk has opened, and things continue in the world. Darius had collapsed, his son Xerxes had taken office, and the Potts Empire and the United Kingdom of Heaton were still in a state of continuous fighting. In the cities and states where Hitton has been conquered by Potts, the resistance has fluctuated, and the Potts Empire has shifted from offensive to defensive.

Marduk has proved the realm he pursued, and what happened next is irrelevant to him, not even the son of Darius, Xerxes, the new Emperor of Poz, nor is it clear that Mazda, the great god of light worshipped by the Poz, is another identity of Marduk.

As the process of expansion of the Poz Empire came to an end, its national policy began to change, and its internal rule grew harsher. Finally, one day, Xerxes ordered the burning of the gates of the gods in Barron City and the demolition of the Temple of Marduk, allowing only the people to believe in the great god of light, Mazda, and to worship the light holy fire that the Poz believed in.

Mu Yun watched the scene happen, sneaking joy in heaven, leaning on the branches of Amon's arms laughing. Darius' son ordered the burning of the Temple of Marduk, which is indeed ridiculous in the eyes of the gods. But smiling, Mu Yun's face suddenly changed into anger and stood up and said: "Amon, your people have demolished our temple! ”

And Amon stood up and patted her on the shoulder, “Why be angry? You were laughing at Marduk, but what happened to him will happen to us, too. ”

Mu Yun asked: “Will you be happy? ”

Amon sighed: "It doesn't matter if I'm happy or unhappy, I'm just a little emotional, as the prophecy of Marduk proved. It was my people who demolished my temple, not Marduk, not the Potts Army. ”

Amon is the Ecuadorian god, and Rod Dick would never have ordered the demolition of his temple. It was the temple in Salem City, and it was Amon's first. It was Amon who guided the disciple to create Salem City. He held the statue of the Goddess of Mu Yun and stood on the altar to receive the sacrifice of the people. It became a symbol of faith. How could it be demolished by the Salem City people themselves? This is the transformation of human life.

Marduk once said to Amon: "Even if my followers occupy the entire Heavenly Pivot, they will not interfere with the beliefs of the city of Salem. But let me remind you that people believe in God not because they were born to believe, but because they can get the solace of their hearts from God or fulfill their desires in his name. Things change in people's minds, and the children of Salem City will make different choices, and then you will probably see your idols lean.” (See chapter 224 of this book, "Who is Satan?"

When Marduk says this, he tells Ammon not only in his capacity as "Marduk”, but also that he has another name, "Po Xin”, which means that no matter what status he sends down or guides, he will not interfere with the beliefs of the city of Salem, and the word spoken between the gods will naturally keep his promises.

The Potts Empire has wiped out Elan, Hattie, Assyria, Baron and so on, and the Duke Plains have naturally joined the vast borders of Potts. Salem City State occupies the north of the Duke Plains, while Hattie-occupied Meso-City State and Budamia City State to the south. Following the demise of Hattie, Poz merged Meso-City, Budamia, Syria and several nearby city states to establish the Syrian Bank Province.

The status of the city of Salem, which has always been unique, has in fact been independent, but has never been declared independent in name, ostensibly subordinate to the Kingdom of Khati and to the existence of the State of the city of Syria. When the Kingdom of Hati was annexed by Poz, it was subordinated to the newly established province of the Bank of Syria.

The territory controlled by the city of Salem is completely surrounded by the Poz Empire, and trade must take place with the Poz Empire, with no other choice. In addition to its own use, the material produced in Salem City can only be sold to the provinces of the Poz Empire. The property required in Salem City must also be exchanged with the surrounding provinces to pay taxes unified by the Poz Empire.

Apart from not assigning a Governor to Salem City, the position of Salem City is equivalent to a relatively autonomous large city state in Poz, and it cannot exist independently of the Poz Empire. As George and Link retreated from the Garden of Eden, Iso and Joshua, and Amon left Salem City, the main rulers of Salem City were Ditch Chow and Eucil. The two men were acutely aware of the situation in Salem City, and the main policy was to keep the status quo unchanged.

Amon was only fourteen years old when he left Duke town to be banished from the mountains, and only in his twenties when he was last seen by the Salem people. In human years, he should now be fifty-eight years old, many years have passed, and the heavenly pivot has changed dramatically.

Most of the people in Duke Town were buried in the early floods, and the youngest of the more than sixty survivors were David Solomon, followed by Amon and then Moses. Moses was two years older than Ammon, and David Solomon was eight years younger than Ammon. When David was six years old, his father took him out of Duke Town for the first time to meet him in Syria City State, and happened to have avoided the flood, becoming the youngest survivor.

After Amon left Salem City, Dickie Zhou and Eucil went on to grow old, and David Solomon became the new generation ruler of Salem City. Medanzo had guided the power of David Solomon's origins, a very intelligent child with six levels of achievement under the age of twenty, but it took many years to continue to advance, reaching the age of forty to break through seven levels of achievement when he became a city owner.

David Solomon also inherited the thousands of years of precipitated bloodline essence of the Turk townspeople, and was guided by the power of Medanzo, who was very powerful and very intelligent. But there are things that are unclear, and it is easier for people with better qualifications or wiser skills to understand the wonders of practice, but achieving high-ranking achievements cannot rely solely on them, otherwise the world's high-ranking achievers will not be so rare.

When David was a teenager, he performed better in many ways than Amon, but in many aspects of the world's arts and crafts, there were almost countless people with better conditions than Amon. By comparison, David's ability to break through the advanced achievements of his original power and become the leader of Salem City is already quite remarkable.

In the late days of Ditch-Chew and Eucil's reign, Salem City actually entered the era of the Sergeant's reign, and the people of Duke Town gradually became rulers of Salem City, mastering the power and wealth of the city. Of the twelve divisions guided by Moses, three were killed in action, three later entered the Garden of Eden, and the rest aged in the city of Salem.

These are very old and authoritative teachers who guide the people to sacrifice to Arrocchio and play an increasingly important role in the administration of the city until David grows up. The new generation of people in Duke Town are also spreading their branches, and the descendants are reluctant to speak of Duke Town, which represents the sinners, but simply claim to be Salem - the Salem who made a covenant with Arojo and was redeemed and blessed by the gods.

With the support of an older generation of scholars, David Solomon himself was extremely talented, not only in establishing absolute authority among Salem, but also in taking control of the entire Salem City State, while the Salem beliefs in Arocho gradually replaced the status of the former Amon God.

This result is somewhat unexpected, but from another point of view it is also inevitable. There were only dozens of survivors of the Turk township, and by the time they arrived in the city of Salem, there were thousands of inhabitants of the city who looked down on them. But they have enjoyed the most fertile lands, inherited ethnic mining sites, and had great merit in the war neutrality of guardian city states.

Surviving generations can be said to be essence, and when they have been exhausted and finally liberated from the misery of generations, they no longer need to personally engage in the hard work of miners, which erupts into another kind of wisdom. They have done very well, not only because of their capital and prestige, but also because of their knowledge and resources.

Strength and wisdom were also a legacy of their ancestors, making them the richest men in Salem, and the girls were willing to marry Salem. They have superior conditions to give their descendants the best educational and living environment, and can even master several languages and languages on the continent, gradually flourishing and reproducing two generations later, the number of this tribe has exceeded a thousand.

The composition of the rest of the population in the city of Salem is predominantly in several respects: cave wildlings or plateau giants migrating from the deep mountains, vagrant adventurers and rogue proletariats from the surrounding countries, bankrupt craftsmen and landless farmers. These people cannot be compared in all respects to the Salem, not to mention the vast majority of whom are illiterate.

The Salem, who possesses wealth and knowledge, also possesses the sovereign right to sacrifice to the gods in the city state, representing the will of the gods. People's beliefs are not empty; they are influenced by the inevitable and unintentional nature of the environment, with the Salem taking control of economic and political resources and, naturally, of the social resources that propagate them.

Early in the battlefield, the generation of the people of Salem city, who had all their hearts and minds to summon the coming of the god of Amon, gradually passed away, and the new generation grew up. They did not have the experience of their fathers and fathers, they were in a new environment, and the people of Salem followed the people of Aroch more and more. Just as the Empire of Potts continued to expand and burn bright holy flames all over the continent, so too did the worship of Arojo go deep into the hearts and minds of the people of the city of Salem in silence, becoming the mainstream of the beliefs of this city state.

But the main temple of this city state is still the Temple of Amon, which stands in the center of the city state square and looks so tall and magnificent. But Amon on the altar embraced the statue of Mu Yun, and now he seems a little vagabonded, not solemn enough. There is also an Arojo Temple in the city of Salem, built in the earliest inhabited area of the Turk township, on a very small scale and on an ever-increasing scale, where sacrifices are accepted.

A new generation of rulers in this city state gradually came up with the idea of replacing the former Temple of Amon with the Temple of the Lord of Arrocho. When the older generations were still alive, the idea was only in their hearts, and when the new generation of Salem, represented by David Solomon, came to power, the desire became stronger and stronger, because Arrocho's status symbolized their status as well.

Prior to Joshua's death, a Bible was given to David Solomon, documenting the experiences and suffering of the Turk townspeople, the process of returning from the distant Ecu guided by Arrocho, and collecting the messages, miracles, hymns and legends of Arrocho. It is a history bearing the beliefs of the Salem, documenting the covenant between the gods and the people, and the Salem is proud and proud.

David Solomon, who is also a witness to this history, naturally sees many of the legendary signs of modification and exaggerated ingredients, and more or less speculates about the relationship between Amon God and Arocho, but the gods do not speak clearly, nor does David Solomon speak clearly.

On the other hand, faith in Aroho is not David's personal business, but the aspirations and beliefs of the whole family, which are not only related to the trust of the spirit, but actually determine the interests and status of the world. Since David is the leader of the people, what he does is representative of that aspiration and belief.

Any successful change will require the right moment to adapt to a seemingly unstoppable trend, and the first opportunity has finally emerged: the coup d 'état in Ecu. Tutankhamun succeeded, taking Amun as the Lord God of the Egyptian kingdom. The Salem hated the Ecuadorians, because in their Bible, their ancestors had been enslaved by the Ecuadorians and had been guided back to their homes by Arojo, who showed miracles that had enabled them to overcome the evil gods of Ecuador all the way.

Now that Amon is the god of Ehu, they naturally do not want to see the cities under their control still offering sacrifices to the gods of Ehu, as if they were constantly awakening some shameful memory. David Solomon took the opportunity to order that the sacrifice to Arrocho become the official ceremony of the City State, replacing the original sacrifice to the God of Amon.

This order was rejected by a few, but was adopted with the support and acquiescence of the majority, because David did not overthrow the Temple of Amon, nor did he prohibit the people from offering to the Amon God, but merely changed the official priesthood.

The Salem, although thriving today, remain a minority of the total population of Salem City and are able to control the entire city state. They practised an elite politics that seemed fair and reasonable and responsive to the public, but by exercising control over economic and political resources, they gained a voice in public opinion, enclosing the will of the vast majority of people.

People often assume that they have made choices, but the results they can choose are simply results that others are prepared to give them long ago. This is the core of this elite politics, which may take on various superficial forms and have a wide impact in future generations, at a time when it is only the source.

The second opportunity that the Salem awaited was a setback in the expansion of the Poz Empire, a turning point in the country's glory and decay, the increasingly passive war in Hippo, the disengagement of Ecu and the decline in control within the Empire, when Xerxes ordered the demolition of the Gates of the Gods and the Temple of Marduk in Barron City.

DAVID - Ten years have passed since the last official sacrifice reform, taking the opportunity to order the demolition of the Amon Temple and the construction of a more magnificent Temple of Arrocho on the site of Temple Square. With this decade-long padding, the resistance to real action has been minimal.

David Solomon's reasons for demolishing the Temple of Amon were twofold: first, the official sacrificial god of the city state was Aroho, and the temple of Aroho should have become the main temple; and second, the temple of the former Anunaki Divine System had been demolished in all parts of the Poz Empire. Assyria, Baron, Hattage and other Anunaki gods were long gone. Amon stood on the temple of the main temple of the city state with the statue of Mu Art, appearing to wander lightly, contrary to the sacred dignity of the gods.

But David Solomon also left a hand, replacing the original Amon with Arocho as the god of the city, demolishing the original temple, but not forbidding people from believing in Amon. People who believe in Amon can build temples for Amon at private expense elsewhere, but this has nothing to do with the official city of Salem, and there will be no city festival.

In fact, it doesn't matter. The Salem has mastered the best land in Salem City, controlled economic, political and cultural resources, and embraced Amon God as a non-mainstream nostalgia. The only God in this city is Arocho, who covenanted with the Salem. Amon gradually became a legendary hero and mythical figure of the exotic people in Salem City.

Arojo is another identity for Amon, and doing so makes no difference to the gods. Just as Xerxes ordered the demolition of the Temple of Marduk and the resurrection of the Light God Mazda, so does Marduk. In recent decades, the heavenly pivot continent has changed dramatically, as have the spirits believed in in in many kingdoms, guided by the spirits, but more importantly by the human situation.

When the Temple of the Lord Ammon was demolished in the city of Salem, Marduk's prophecy was finally fulfilled. Amon could only be saddened, but he persuaded Mu Yun - look at the temple of Marduk - to do the same.

Mu Yun was also temporarily angry, then angry and laughed: “I was the guardian saint of Duke Town, but Duke Town was destroyed by the flood. I hope you can guide the people to restore my divine domain, and you have fulfilled your promise. But now your people have demolished you and my temple. As a god, it should have become quite straightforward over a long history. ”

Amon added: "The Arocho they believe in is still me, and the covenant I made with my people is still engraved in the temple. People need their gods to prove their brilliance, and my people are the creatures of the arts and crafts, and whoever is guided by the faith I have left behind, the soul can rise above, and come to my kingdom. ”
