Pivot of the Sky
Chapter 284: 285, Watching the play
Barneymond shifted his target, staring at Dewey a few steps back, and asking, "You have this idea that proves you can think, so what's the point of thinking like this? What's the difference between a stone that doesn't need to eat or earn money? Why would it be fun for you to stand here and listen to people talk? ”
As soon as Amon saw the scene, he grabbed Bamenide and said: "Turns out I was referring to Socrates' problem, which I've heard of. And you asked me if I was from Plato College, if I could ask you about another wise man from Plato College, his name was Aristotle. ”
Barnymend replied, "Oh, he's not in Aaron anymore. He's said to be a court teacher in the Kingdom of Macedonia, far from here.” Speaking, he still wanted to chase Dewey, who was about to leave, and Amon vanished into the crowd in the square.
……
The next day, Iso said to Amon, "My God, the Aarons also love to watch dramas, where people perform the tales of the gods on stage, unlike the artistic juggling of other countries on the Heavenly Pivot. Such performances, if they were in Ecu or Hattie, might be considered blasphemy to the gods, but the Aarons loved them. ”
Amon asked with interest, "Oh? I also heard yesterday that there is a special theater where people wear costumes to perform the stories of gods and people. How did it first come about? ”
Iso replied: "It was also originated from the discussion among people in Temple Square, and the intelligent artists made dramas of the topics they heard about the gods in Temple Square, which were presented to the passers-by, and the results were very popular. Later, there were talented writers writing plays for artists to perform in the theater, one of the favorite entertainments in Aaron City. ”
Medanzo intervened: “Yesterday I went out for a circle, I heard that there are three playwrights most famous now, they write tragedies, earn men's sigh women's tears, I want to see it too. ”
Amon nodded: "Well, let's go to the show together! I have not seen such performances, nor have they appeared in other cities and states. ”
Iso is the “master”, riding the carriage, Medanzo is the “guard”, riding by the car, Amon is still the blind driver, driving the carriage to one of the liveliest theatres in Aaron City. Iso asked for the best seats, and today's show is Prometheus.
At the beginning, a group of artists on stage should play the role of god, singing poems praising the god, which is no different from the occasion when the nations of the Tianhui continent praise the god, except that ordinary people replace the status of god in the stage. Amon just smiled and watched. After a while, he gradually saw God, because the "Gods” appeared.
This is a story about the very beginning of the Olympus Divine System, and according to Amon's knowledge of the Olympus Divine System, Zeus created the Olympus Heaven today by merging the divine kingdom of the original gods. This process was also accompanied by a battle of gods, distinguished from the battle of the Anunaki gods, for which Zeus sought higher achievements than the Creator.
Human legends are expressed in a way that people can understand, but in Ammon's view Prometheus should be the god of one of the losers in the Gods' war and the opponent of Zeus. Amon was astonished by the mythological mythology of man, which implied that he had the equivalent of a Creator or higher achievement.
Because in the story, Prometheus blended the soil with the river water and made it look like a human being according to the image of the gods. Arena, the god of wisdom, gave these soil shapes a soul that could think, and then had the first man. This goes hand in hand with the fact that the first god of creation in the Olympus system was not Zeus, and in myths everywhere, the so-called creator was the first god of creation, and Prometheus was just a representative name.
The next story on the stage is a human interpretation, and it's even more interesting. Prometheus, as a god, favoured mankind, even though he deceived the god for the sake of mankind, and thus angered Zeus, who decided not to give the spark to the world. Prometheus, in contravention of the Lord of the Gods, stole a spark from the sky with an anise branch and brought it into the world.
And when he saw this, Amon smiled, and he remembered the cave wildling tribe of the original Link, which lit an indelible fire in a great cave, as a god worship, and the light sacred fire offered by the Potts Empire, all related to the most primitive divine life and religious origins. Fire symbolizes light, warmth, guardianship and hope, and is also the beginning of people's wisdom from obscurity.
In mythological legends everywhere, gods have created the world and given light and warmth, and this is no exception. Yet playwrights in Aaron City adapted the structure of the mythological story, sparking as a spark of divine differences and conflicts among men, singing a spirit of rebellion against the will of the gods.
Amon learnt another meaning in this story, something other audiences in the theater didn't understand, the so-called "name and true language” in the myth of Ecu. The name refers to the achievements of the gods, and the true language refers to the method of obtaining such achievements. For mortals, it is the secret of becoming gods. Ammon's personal experience confirms this process.
If the "spark” in this play is replaced by the “name and true language” in Ecumenical mythology, then the legend has another projection. It seems to imply that Prometheus wants to tell the world the secrets of becoming a god, while Zeus does not want to reveal the guidance of the original power.
It is also unclear to Amon whether this has really happened, that he has little knowledge of the secrets within the Olympus Divine System, and that the stage is just a play between actors. He couldn't help but ask Isaac: "Someone can write a play like this that shows that the legend has been around for a long time. What kind of god is Prometheus in the legend that you know? ”
Iso frowned and replied: “When I was a child, I heard the legend of a long time ago that Prometheus was a sinner among the gods, who deceived the gods with a plot and was punished by Zeus and locked up in chains forever. … and the drama we have seen clearly reinterprets mythology, gives the god another image, gives the legend another explanation. ”
Amon micro-channel: “Sinners? The story of this play should have its earliest source, and such a god should belong to the losing side of the Olympian god's ancient battle of the gods. Prometheus created“ human beings "that also implied believers in the gods of the defeated side, just like my ancestors, the people of Duke Town. ”
Medanzo touched his nose and said: "You say that, it's really similar! Had it not been for the mythology of Olympus and the legend of Anunaki, I would have thought it would have implied the story of Duke Town. If Prometheus is not a god on the defeated side, but one of those sinners, it is almost mirroring your story. ”
Amon smiled slightly: “In the sunshine, there is always a shadow of an acquaintance, a play that reminds you of me, but it's not necessarily me, it's just a story written by a wise man. I'm just curious, why did the person who wrote this play fit into the new legend on the continent and change this myth? ”
Amon, this is a question, and Iso answers: "Though mythology carries the shadow of a god, people can only circulate it in the way they understand it, and add their wishes to it, as do many of the stories I've told. The man who wrote the show never saw Zeus, but he saw all kinds of people in the world. Those who tried to resist but could not resist the authority became the father of the mythological gods, and their wishes became the behavior of Prometheus. ”
Medanzo also replied: "People have awe and desire in their hearts, which makes them imagine the gods, and anger and dissatisfaction with the world makes them question the gods. People yearn to have the same power and freedom as the gods, and sometimes an unpleasant neighbor can become Zeus in the play. ”
Amon stayed put and continued watching the show. The performance that followed reminded him of the tribes of the town of Turk and the millennium suffering they endured.
On the stage, "human beings" were punished by Zeus. The Olympus gods made a lovely girl named Pandora, who came to tempt Prometheus' brother, Urpi Murteus, with a magic box in his hand. The tempted Epimetos opened the Magic Box, which flew out of all sorts of plagues and disasters. At the bottom of the box is Hope, but Pandora shut it down and left it in the box.
And when he saw it, Amon asked, “What happened to this box? ”
The box was just made up by the playwright, but Amon obviously said something else. Medanzo replied: "People fear the gods, fear the unknown, so they pray to the gods in their hearts for hope. People are dissatisfied with the situation, and therefore hate brings all this to the gods. Hope and disaster have become symbols of the gods and contain prayer and fear. ”
Iso replied: "This is an everywhere protest, such as hatred of tyrants, which also contains the ultimate purpose of the protest and remains in the box that has not yet been opened. ”
Ammon stopped talking, and then Prometheus himself was punished on stage. Zeus ordered Prometheus to be locked on the cliffs of the Caucasus Mountains for 13 generations. He was starving, and a hawk pecked his guts every day, and the wounds healed, enduring endless suffering. There was a fruit tree on the cliff, and the delicious fruit bent the branches in front of Prometheus, and when he wanted to open his mouth to eat, there was a wind blowing open the branches.
This time Amon did not speak, but Iso muttered to himself: "Hope is right in front of you. Can you see it, but can you never get it? ”
Gradually, the play is coming to an end, and the moment of liberation is approaching. A powerful half-human half-god, Hercules, son of a god, passed through the Caucasus Mountains. The Hercules sympathized with Prometheus' miserable fate, shooting down an arrow that pecked his eagle and broke the chain to save Prometheus.
In the end, Prometheus and Zeus ended the confrontation and finally made peace, but Zeus still asked Prometheus to carry an iron ring with a rock on the cliff, symbolizing that he was still locked in the Caucasus Mountains.
Seeing this, Medanzo said to himself: "The man who wrote this play did not know what a demigod existed, so he understood it as a descendant of God and man. ”
Iso asked, "Is there really a Hercules type of Hercules? ”
Medanzo replied, "Of course I have. I've seen it with my own eyes, like Enkido. ”
But Amon didn't say much, and after the field went out, he said to Iso, "Well, it's worth a look, come back tomorrow! ”
……
The next day, Amon came back to the theater, and he didn't sit in the best seat with Iso and Medanzo, as a regular driver, hanging out in the crowded audience with a group of people dressed in coarse linen. Yesterday's play surprised Amon, and today's show shook the god, whose name was King Oedipus, and it was a tumbling, exciting story.
Yesterday, on the stage, the gods appeared directly, and today, in this play, the gods are merely hidden shadows, showing their existence only through the Oracle, and the stories take place in the kingdom of man.
At the beginning, the stage was also a familiar scene that had occurred in many countries on the Tianjin continent. A plague broke out in a city called Tebai, where King Oedipus' life priest went to the Temple of Apollo to pray for the help and salvation of the gods and to guide people through the disaster.
Apollo is the god of light and youth in the Olympus system and the patron saint of this city state, inscribed on the walls of the Temple of Apollo a famous saying: "Know yourself. ”
Apollo sent down a message to the city of Tebai: "The plague will be eliminated only if the sinners hidden in the city are identified and the murderers of the late King punished. ”
Then the second scene turned into a memory of the queen of the first king. Oedipus was not the first husband of the queen, and the first king of the city was killed when he went out, while the son of the first king was abandoned three days earlier, and the kingdom lost its heir.
Why did the first king abandon his son? This is also because Apollo sent down the message that the former king would be killed by his own son. Why would a god send down such a message? The scene goes back a long way, turning out that the previous king had plundered the son of another king in his youth, and was therefore cursed by the gods.
And where does the king Oedipus come from now? Then there was another scene on the stage, a memory of Oedipus.
Oedipus, the son of another Chinese king in another city, one day heard the voice of the gods as he prayed to Apollo in the temple, saying that he would have a terrible fate to kill his father and marry his mother. In order to counter this fate and prevent the Messenger from responding, Oedipus ran away from home and vowed never to come back. On the way, he encountered a group of people and had an unexpected clash, drawing his sword and killing an arrogant and rude dignitary, who came to the city of Tebai.
At that time, the city of Tebai was being overshadowed by a great catastrophe, and a lion-faced witch guarded the path of the Bible, asking the passers-by a mystery, and if she could not answer it, she would be eaten. And the king of the city state was recently murdered outside by powerful men, and in order to save the city state, people decided - whoever can solve the puzzle and lift the city state out of its misfortune, can marry the widow of the first king and inherit the throne.
Here, Amon had guessed what the playwright was going to write —— Oedipus was the son of the first king, and the man he killed was the original king of the city of Tebai. The Oracle may symbolize destiny, and the words inscribed on the walls of the Temple of Apollo are the source of the tragedy. People don't know everything about their eyes like a god, and Oedipus doesn't know his origins, but he hasn't given up his struggle with the fate foreshadowed by the Oracle.
At this point, Amon noticed that one of the front-line audiences had a noticeable head, because he kept a bald head, which was very rare in the state of Aaron, and had fine hair on his green scalp, which did not look like a natural bald man. Ammon recognized this man, Vincent, who had walked with no amount of light in the Syrian desert, and then met him in the city of Salem, who was a transcendent under another guidance.
Amon was surprised when he was suddenly seen again in Aaron City and squeezed into a position where he could reach out. Vincent also sensed, his shoulders turned back tightly to recognize Amon, then nodded and smiled, then turned to continue watching the play, but a voice came from his soul: "Amon God, how did you get into the realm of Olympus? It may be controversial to do so without the permission of the Divine System to see how you look. ”
Amon asks back in his soul, "Aren't you here too? ”
Vincent replied, "I'm just here to watch the show, and I'm not going to show and use any of your so-called miracle methods. ”
Amon: “I'm just here to watch the show, and it doesn't show miracles. ”
Vincent: “Oh? Then you looked me in the eye, but you don't belong to mortals, you have the power to penetrate the six senses. If I were a god in the Olympus, I might be shocked or provoked by you. ”
Amon smiled, “I know you're not an Olympus god, you're just like me watching a show in the crowd. That's the way I look at you to make sure you're really you. Is it a miracle that you can feel me looking through your soul? ”
Vincent replied: "Unlike the path you are familiar with, the guidance I receive is merely self-contained and distinguished from what you call miracles. ”
At the same time as he spoke, he printed a message in Ammon's soul that the practitioner called some means “divine” but, unlike the so-called miracles of various divine systems, it was merely an extension of perception that, when possessed and used, there was no extra touch in the world.
Vincent's explanation was very interesting and inspired Amon--
For example, the so-called "eye-catcher” can see far-off places and even certain scenarios of the past and future, which are related to practitioners' powers and boundaries. By the means at its disposal, Ammon is able to do the same by detecting theology or information theology to the very bright realm, but Vincent explains the difference in means.
