Plague Doctor

Chapter 4 Alien Medicine

The night sky sinks and the cruise ship slowly drifts over the infinite sea with a glowing glow.

In a luxury suite on the high deck of a cruise ship, Gu Jun sat at his desk, looking at the small medicine box placed on the table and frowned. More than half a day has passed since he received this box of drugs as a reward for his mission, and his doubts are growing.

This is a small square carton, just like regular cold medicine packaging, but it's not printed in Chinese or English, and he can't tell what language it is.

The cartridge contains the only platoon of medicine, packaged in aluminum foil, with only 5 round white capsules.

There are no instructions, and the aluminum foil is printed with that type of text.

“Seems to have some impression...” Gu Jun thought at first, "Is that the language on the spike rock? Or what language in the world? ”

Now, however, he has searched the Internet all night, comparing more than a dozen mainstream languages with hundreds of other languages in the world, and even those rare small languages, none of them, not even a similar language, as if it were not a product of human thinking.

Gu Jun implicitly felt that it did not belong to the Earth, but that humans had thousands of languages, and he could not say that it was right or wrong.

But, brain stem tumor targeting drugs? There are only a few pharmaceutical giants on the planet that have this capability.

If this is a drug from Earth, the text on the box should be in English, German, or French...

In addition to this mysterious text, the top right corner on both sides of the box has the same pattern, the logo size, should be the logo. This pattern looks like a side of a marine creature:

Whale-like fish, dorsal fins and tail fins are sharp serrated, while chest fins and belly fins are weird limb shapes.

Like the text, he couldn't find out what kind of creature it was, but the more he looked at it, the more he felt the pattern was in a frenzy that was hard to explain...

After pondering for some time, my head felt a bit of a hidden pain. When Gu Jun went to look at the clock again, he realized it was almost midnight.

Previously, the system said that once a day, the task list would refresh.

He looked at the second hand of the clock and, after zero, immediately opened the task list to see if it had been refreshed.

[Ordinary task: Tie the rubber tube tourniquet with an IV needle 1000 times and practice your injection technique. Task Reward: 1 box of human brain stem tumor-targeting drug that extends host life by 5 days

Difficult task: 100 paediatric patients successfully diagnosed and treated today. Mission Reward: 1 Carop Anatomy Cut

Abyss Mission: Complete the autopsy of 1 Ghoul within a week. Task Reward: Unknown]

“Refresh at midnight every day, is this going to force me to stay up all night, my liver is not moving...”

Gu Jun muttered and looked at the abyss task. It seems that although the list refreshes every day, the abyss level will not always be a brand new task.

Difficult tasks are not accomplished on cruise ships; ordinary tasks remain simple, as long as there is a scalp pin and a rubber tube tourniquet.

At the moment, Gu Jun called the cruise service desk to ask for these two items, the reason being to practice needle sticking. Now that he is also a guest of honor, this little request is naturally fine. Soon enough, a waiter came and gave them both to a small box.

As soon as he got his hands on it, Gu Jun accepted the normal task and started practicing at the desk.

The rubber tube tourniquet is the most common yellow hollow rubber belt, and when you tap it with a needle, it breaks the texture of the blood vessel, so the tourniquet is the first step in nursing injections. Gu Jun has not been trained in systematic care, but has given many injections to experimental animals, and is not new to intravenous injection.

He held the scalp pin and carefully tied the tourniquet at 30-40 degrees over and over again. I've tried it before and it's not a “success”.

For more than two hours, "10001000” was achieved, and he had broken a pile of tourniquets, his right arm was sour and soft, and he was overactive at night.

At this time, Gu Jun heard another thud in his head.

“Ordinary Tasks - Tasks Done! ”

“Your Thailand-handed proficiency has increased and is now ranked # 1 (15005000 proficiency)”

“Mission reward has been awarded: 1 box of human brain stem tumor targeting drug that extends host life by 5 days”

Again, Gu Jun felt heavy in his pocket. The scouts took it out and took another box of medicine. In contrast, only a few places on the box print have different text prints, which should be numbers, lots, production dates and other information.

If you're a linguist, you might be able to see more, but he can only see some medical ideas.

“Looks a lot like temozolomide.” Gu Jun took out two rows of ten white capsules of two boxes of medicine and looked over and over.

Temozolomide is the first targeted drug for brain stem tumors, but there are also many types of brain stem tumors. Temozolomide treats glioblastoma multiforme, anaplastic astrocytoma. Unfortunately, he suffers from myeloblastoma and there are no targeted drugs on the market...

And these capsules, the ingredients, are unknown, but obviously this is a chemical, a small molecule drug, that can theoretically be used orally through the blood-brain barrier, which in turn has an effect on the tumor. Looks fine.

The question is, is this really a human brain stem tumor targeting drug?

The more disturbed Gu Jun wanted to be, he looked out at the peaceful sea outside the balcony, but it seemed like he was seeing a shocking wave. Those obscene illusions kept turning over the sea. He saw a monster, who was breaking free from the cage of the abyss. He needed food and a living life...

“What if I was food? What if these pills are monster traps? What if death isn't the worst thing? ”

This thought made Gu Jun's head palpitate. He stood up, looked at the sea and tightened the tablet in his hand.

The devil will trick you with what you want most.

That submarine spike rock, this mysterious power... what did Mom and Dad's research have to do with this?

Gu Jun took a few steps. Though Tae Lan's hand is really effective, it doesn't mean that this box of medicine is as well. Even in the near future, he thought he needed to calm down about everything before he could figure it out, because irrational decisions often left much to be desired.

This unknown prudence has overshadowed the exhilaration that was previously revived.

Besides, as a medical dog, he can't do the test directly...

There it is!

Gu Jun figured out a way to see if these two boxes were really effective.

We have to hurry. He only has 59 days left. It's just another fucking college entrance exam countdown.
