After successfully checking off another classic scene, Mike returned to Nicole’s house with Gengar and the others.

Jenny Joy had already been waiting there for some time.

They ate the noodles Nicole and Marill had prepared together, rested in the yard for a while, and then Mike returned to the hotel.

After taking a shower, Mike sat on the bed and edited the footage from Night of Evolution before uploading it.

While the upload progressed on his tablet, he returned to the editing program and began working on the second episode of The Wide World of Pokémon.

Halfway through the edit—

"Meow."

Glameow nudged Mike’s arm with one paw, pointed at his computer screen, then pointed toward Snivy, who was nearby telling Beedrill a story while acting out the movements.

"Uh, well..."

"Everyone, what have we found here? It’s a Pidgey! What is it doing? Oh, it has its eyes on a Cherubi. It’s gathering its strength... and there it goes!"

"It was knocked away! And the Pokémon that sent it flying was... a Spearow!"

"It isn’t surprising that Spearow attacked Pidgey. The Pidgey and Spearow families are generally hostile toward one another..."

Mike slowly watched through the second episode of The Wide World of Pokémon.

He smacked his lips, and a cup of warm water was immediately held in front of his mouth.

Mike looked at the cup Snivy was holding, then glanced at her before accepting it and taking several sips.

Snivy took the cup back afterward.

Mike reached out and stroked her head. Snivy narrowed her eyes and let out a comfortable cry while rubbing against his palm.

"Would you like some more?"

Gengar floated over and offered Mike another cup of water.

"I’m thirsty. I talked a little too much while recording the narration. Thanks."

Mike smiled and accepted the cup.

"I..."

Gengar crossed his arms and huffed.

After finishing the narration, Mike checked the episode once more. Finding no major problems, he clicked upload.

Unlike the first episode, where he had packed many Bug-type Pokémon into a single video, he had divided the Flying-type footage into several parts this time.

That meant he could stretch it into several more episodes!

The second episode was titled The Wide World of Pokémon: Flying-Type Pokémon—Birds, Part One.

There were simply too many Flying-type Pokémon!

Some Bug types also possessed the Flying type, while the majority of Flying Pokémon were birds, so Mike decided to begin with several common bird Pokémon.

These included the Pidgey family, the Spearow family, the Taillow family, the Starly family, as well as Murkrow, Natu, and several others.

The total runtime was only a little over an hour.

Looking at the upload bar on the computer screen, Mike stretched and spoke to Gengar beside him.

"Turn off the lights. We need to get up early and visit the school tomorrow. It’ll be troublesome if Nicole and Joy’s requests can’t be sent back to the school in time."

"I haven’t filled out the form yet, but I should at least finish the assignment first."

"Gar!"

Gengar responded and switched off the lights.

Looking at the blue eyes glowing in the darkness, Mike quietly asked, "Do you want to sleep together tonight?"

Glameow skillfully jumped onto the bed, stepped over Mike, and curled up in the corner.

Mike could only shake his head.

He closed his eyes and went to sleep.

Gengar and Beedrill remained hanging in the corner, whispering to each other, while Snivy slept with her eyes closed in a hammock Beedrill had woven from String Shot.

...

Early the next morning, Mike was awakened by Glameow, who had somehow ended up in his arms.

He opened his eyes just in time to see her jumping off the bed.

Mike yawned and checked his phone.

It was a little after seven.

He closed his eyes, intending to sleep a little longer, but realized he was already wide awake, so he sat up instead.

In the corner, the two troublemakers were still hanging upside down from the silk.

Snivy, lying in the hammock, gave Mike a sweet smile when she saw him open his eyes.

"Sni!"

[Good morning!]

Mike smiled and stroked her head.

He got up, washed, and changed into the outfit Nicole had bought for him earlier, though Glameow had spent the entire night thoroughly wrinkling it.

After everyone finished washing up, Mike took them out for breakfast.

Looking at the many different breakfast stalls along the street, he couldn’t help sighing.

’How can a city as large as Jubilife not have a single breakfast shop selling fried dough sticks and soy milk?’

After a simple breakfast, Mike entered a photography shop and asked them to print the photographs he had selected.

He then found a café, ordered a coffee, and began placing the photographs into the album he had prepared.

Once every photograph had been added, Mike flipped through the thick album and nodded in satisfaction.

He closed it, finished his coffee, and looked toward Gengar.

Surprisingly, Gengar was sitting quietly in his chair today instead of going outside to scare Pokémon passing along the street.

"What are you doing?" Mike asked curiously after noticing Gengar fiddling with something beneath the table.

Gengar looked up at him, then turned around and showed him his back.

Mike: "..."

"Fine. Don’t tell me."

Mike didn’t pay it much attention. He stood and prepared to leave, but before that he check the comment on his recent video.

[Fruit-Juice Pigeon: Did the deadbeat uploader take the wrong medicine? He actually uploaded two videos today?]

[BugTypesAreMyFavorite: What?! Why isn’t this episode of The Wide World of Pokémon about Bug-type Pokémon? Damn it!]

Mike narrowed his eyes at the account with a green-haired profile picture and opened its profile.

’It’s you again Aaron!’

’How did you sneak into my fan group?’

While silently watching the chat, Mike received several private messages.

He first opened his conversation with the gholdengo is number one.

[Gholdengo Is Number One: I watched the Pokémon Contest. The performance really suited your style. Beedrill looked very cool.]

[Mike: Thanks for the compliment.]

[Gholdengo Is Number One: Um... you’re still in Jubilife City, right?]

[Gholdengo Is Number One: Next time, remember to wear something that matches your Beedrill. You looked so sloppy that anyone who didn’t know better would think you weren’t participating in a Pokémon Contest!]

Fine. He had money, so he could say whatever he wanted.

Mike wasn’t going to turn down free clothes.

Since gholdengo is number one had already sponsored him with so many things, he could complain anytime he wants!

After gholdengo is number one went back to work, Mike opened another conversation.

It appeared to be from a new fan.

[Mike: Hello?]

The other person replied almost immediately.

[DefeatThePrincipalAndBecomePrincipal: Hello, Assistant Mike. Are you available recently? Jubilife Trainers’ School would like to invite you to teach several classes to our students. Would that be possible?]

’Seriously?’

[DefeatThePrincipalAndBecomePrincipal: Would you be interested? If so, could we arrange a time to meet in person?]

Mike checked the name of the café and sent it to them.

[Mike: I’m waiting here right now. Would that work?]

[DefeatThePrincipalAndBecomePrincipal: Certainly. I’ll be there immediately.]

After ending the conversation, Mike remained seated and rubbed his chin.

’I’m going to teach at Jubilife Trainers’ School?’

’Jubilife Trainers’ School is a school for Pokémon Trainers, right?’

’They want me to become a teacher...’

’What can I even teach?’
