The onlookers saw Zheng Fang pause for a moment, hesitantly looking at Hydreigon, "You should let your Hydreigon rest for a bit; it just fought two battles and must be tired, right?"

"Hmm... I mean no disrespect to Eldegoss and Lian Zuo, but actually, my Hydreigon is in excellent condition and doesn’t need a break."

Baimu patted the Hydreigon’s chin, the heavy slapping sound somehow made the creature squint comfortably.

The trick lasted much longer than expected.

It hasn’t disappeared even now.

The crowd listened to Baimu’s words and turned their gazes towards the hesitating Zheng Fang.

"Brother Zheng Fang! Agree to it!"

"I want to see you and Baimu battle!"

"Brother Zheng Fang! A fierce battle between dragons! Aren’t you excited to see such powerful Dragon-type Pokémon right in front of you?"

Zheng Fang responded, "No, I just don’t want to engage in back-to-back battles..."

Before he finished his words.

He saw Baimu step aside and gesture invitingly.

Having reached this point, it would be impolite to refuse.

Zheng Fang took out a Pokeball and moved to where Eldegoss was originally standing.

He had to admit that Baimu’s Hydreigon was far more powerful than he’d imagined, yet according to their elders, Baimu had likely been raising Pokémon for less than half a year, with an even shorter time raising Hydreigon.

How did he achieve it?

Zheng Fang couldn’t fathom, but thought perhaps this was what a genius was, like the one who was their peer yet far surpassed them.

However, he certainly wouldn’t give in easily.

Moreover, the match hadn’t started yet, and no one could say for sure who would win!

"Go! My partner!"

A flash of white light.

A tall Pokémon resembling both a dinosaur and a shark, with a star on its nose, appeared on the field.

"Garchomp!"

With low growls, Garchomp fixed its golden eyes on the Hydreigon not far away.

"Garchomp?"

Baimu tugged at the corners of his mouth, finally seeing a Quasi-God but why wasn’t it Salamence? There are so many Bagon and Shelgon in Meteor Village... you could argue Altaria and Flygon are understandable.

But does it make sense for the Meteor People to bring out a Garchomp?

Alright then.

As long as they’re serious about the battle!

"Dragon Pulse!"

"Charge! Dragon Claw!"

Almost simultaneously, both parties issued commands.

But Hydreigon acted faster than Garchomp, with three mouths glowing, azure, sky blue, and violet energies surged forth, quickly taking the form of a snarling Energy Flying Dragon in front of itself!

The Energy Flying Dragon "flapped" its skeletal wings, roaring and charging at the approaching Garchomp.

Upon seeing this, Garchomp immediately spread its broad shark fins like a roc spreading its wings, causing a brilliant green sheen to spread across them, forming sharp energy blades that unhesitatingly sliced towards the charging Energy Flying Dragon!

Whoosh—boom!

The airflow scattered, multi-colored Dragon Attribute Energy erupted in a smoky explosion, the impact of which blew through Baimu and Zheng Fang’s hair.

And then.

They saw Garchomp break through the smoke, continuing its charge towards Hydreigon, with smoke lightly swirling yet never lingering long on its body—apparently, it didn’t take much damage.

It also moved with great speed, arriving before Hydreigon in the blink of an eye!

"Zzahh!"

Hydreigon’s eyes widened in excitement instead of surprise; it loved opponents that could go several rounds with it, allowing it to fully understand its own strength!

"Dragon Breath!"

"Dragon’s Fury!"

Again, nearly simultaneous commands.

But this time, both Pokémon launched their attacks at the exact same moment, with Hydreigon spewing a broad wave of sky-blue Dragon Flame forward as Garchomp unleashed a violet energy shockwave from its mouth!

The two differently-colored Dragon Attribute Energies collided fiercely!

Boom—!!

A deafening explosion sounded as if it were about to tear through people’s eardrums, the scorching airflow twisting the air around, as if it intended to vaporize everything nearby, while thick smoke billowed forth like a towering wall, engulfing the entire field in an instant.

The aftereffects of the move were far stronger than Baimu had expected.

It was merely a clash between Dragon’s Fury and Dragon Breath.
