The next day.
Mu Anhan woke up and saw Gu Xiaozhan sleeping right beside her.
She pushed him. "What are you doing here?"
"This is my house, this is my bedroom. If I don’t sleep here, where am I supposed to sleep?" Gu Xiaozhan replied, perfectly justified.
Mu Anhan had slept so well that she was actually a bit hungry. She got up to wash up and went downstairs for breakfast.
"You’re just leaving?" Gu Xiaozhan still wanted to sleep a bit more.
"The kids are hungry!" Mu Anhan touched her belly. "If you want me to stay and sleep with you, how about you carry the baby instead?"
Gu Xiaozhan waved her off, signaling her to go eat breakfast.
This woman now grabbed onto every little detail to roast him; if he didn’t reassert his status as the head of the household, it really wouldn’t do.

The old restaurant.
Mu Anhan invited Xue Xiangtong, Miao Feishuang, and Zhang Shishi out for dinner.
One woman is five hundred ducks; with four women, there’s simply no end to the topics.
"Oh right, thanks to Tong Tong and Feishuang for helping me out last night." Mu Anhan lifted her water glass. "I can’t drink, so I’ll use tea instead of wine. Come on! Us sisters, let’s drink to that!"
"I almost exposed the act." Xue Xiangtong laughed.
Miao Feishuang was smug. "Men, huh, they’re really born with defects. You offer yourself and he doesn’t want you. The second you pull back, he starts chasing. Han Han, you should’ve used this trick on him ages ago. Look at before, when he hadn’t lost his memory—wasn’t he always chasing after you?"
"I just felt bad that he got hurt and even lost his memory. I wanted to treat him better, and then even better." Mu Anhan sighed. "Who knew he’d just drift farther and farther away from me, like he’s getting more and more like a stranger."

The four of them ordered a whole table full of dishes. Mu Anhan ate the most, and Xue Xiangtong also opened up and attacked the food pretty fiercely.
Zhang Shishi ate the least, Miao Feishuang came second.
"Oh right, Sister Feishuang, Yu Hao picked you up last night. What did you two end up eating?" Mu Anhan asked her.
Xue Xiangtong looked up at her. "Sister Feishuang, your dark circles are pretty heavy. What, you didn’t rest well last night?"
Miao Feishuang’s face instantly turned red.
"Maybe work’s just been too busy lately!"
"Don’t buy it!" Xue Xiangtong shook her head. "I can totally tell Vice Marshal Lu is living very comfortably with you right now. You two must be busy making little people!"
"Tong Tong, you see through it but don’t say it out loud." Mu Anhan laughed. "It’s not like you don’t know Sister Feishuang—she’s always been pretentious about this stuff!"
Miao Feishuang swatted her. "If you weren’t pregnant right now, I’d beat you up! You’re so savage with your mouth."
"Lately I’ve been roasting my husband like this all the time." Mu Anhan slapped the table. "And he’s there, pissed off but completely helpless against me!"
Miao Feishuang sighed. "Yu Hao and I have indeed made some rapid progress recently..."
Xue Xiangtong: "Details!"
Mu Anhan: "Make it vivid!"
Zhang Shishi: "Make it lively!"
Miao Feishuang looked at these three gossip queens. "It’s not like you don’t have men. It’s all just that same old thing."

Mu Anhan laughed. "I’m a pregnant woman; I can only think about it, no actual practice. So all the actual action is on Sister Feishuang’s side now."
