I kept explaining.

“The influence of Duke Bezalius is all the wind that the Horn empire values today as a military empire. The people of the Horn Empire are passionately respected. ”

“Is that so?"

“Yes. So if you ever ask me if I know Duke Bezalius in the Horn, I want you to tell me a compliment. Then the people of the Horn Empire will love it. They're very proud of themselves. ”

“Oh, okay. Good common sense. When the time comes, I'll study the history of the Horn Empire properly. ”

Randall, like a knight, was fascinated by the military work of Grand Duke Crocente Bezalius.

Of course you are.

They know war is a terrible disaster, but it is men who excite them.

The people of the Horn Empire will be the same.

They argue that if it weren't for the health of Grand Duke Bezalius, they would still have conquered the continent.

Furthermore, the current Horn Empire is the descendants of Queen Isabella and Duke Bezalius.

It was also natural for the Horn Imperial Court to be able to accomplish the undefeated work of our ancestors.

Perhaps the young emperor is thinking the same thing. That's why he started the conquest war.

It is unclear, however, whether Duke Bezalius has not conquered the continent because his health has really deteriorated.

Personally, I disagree with the opinion.

Duke Bezalius has just plunged into a war to save a great nation, defeating Orients and building an empire. As the country was founded, I felt there was no need to continue the war.

Because even if he was lying sick, his companion Queen Isabella was also capable of leading a great army into battle.

Even so, was it because they knew that conquest would only bring so much disaster?

Anyway, Duke Crocente Bezalius, that name was a very important keyword. I can look into the heart of the current Horn Emperor...

“Is it because you're a merchant? You know a lot about the Horn Empire. Let me know if there's anything else I can find out. ”

Randall looks at you like a little grandson asking his grandmother to tell him an old story.

“Yes. When you get to the Horn Empire, wrap yourself in a cloak and keep your weapon hidden. ”

“Eek! Why is that? Are all weapons off-limits, regardless of identity? ”

“No.”

“Then why? ”

“The act of revealing weapons in the Horn Empire means fighting or fighting. ”

“Hurrah.”

“If you show your weapons when you go to know the Emperor of the Horn, you may look like you're declaring war…. ”

Before I could finish, Randall quickly wrapped himself around his cloak and hid his waist sword.

“Again! Tell me something else! ”

“If the opponent is a man, don't bow your head when greeting. ”

“Why is that? The way you keep your head down, I'm gonna punch you in the face! ’About? ”

“No, I mean a coward. Usually, you only bow your head when you surrender to an enemy. ”

“Damn, they're too extreme. Is this negotiation really going well? ”

“I don't know.”

Now do you have any idea how hard it is for your king to entrust me with a task?

* * *

The Horn Empire was created by the unification of the existing Horn Kingdom and various nomadic people of the southern region.

However, even after joining the Horn Empire, the nomads did not abandon their way of life as a group of tribes, nor did the laws of the Horn Empire have much effect on them.

Because of this, the Horn Empire suffered a headache because of the nomadic population accounting for 40% of the country's population.

It is because nomads who wandered everywhere in the empire armed to protect their flocks were sometimes as vicious as the enemy flocks.

Nomads who were always suffering from food shortages were often pillaging their villages or territories.

Moreover, the nomads wielding their swords on horseback were much scarier and more brutal than the enemy hordes.

The bad habits of such nomads were uncontrollable even as an imperial court, and eventually the territory had to have the power to protect itself from the nomads.

Everyone in the Horn Empire had to know how to handle a weapon because of the extremely unstable level of security. This made the Horn Empire so combat-prone that it was called a military empire.

So what's the verdict?

The Horn Empire is a robbery paradise.

The nomads who drove the sheep around and the villagers who were farming will become bandits whenever they need to.

“What a crazy country. ”

Randall holds out his tongue.

“There are even words in the Horn that weakness is a sin. ”

“Madness... Power is a moral standard. I never want to live in a country like this. ”

As a Randall who worships honor as a knight, he will feel vile and barbaric.

That's why we call the Horn Empire the kingdom of savages.

“They didn't want to live like this in the first place either. Eventually, it happened because the imperial people had no control over the nomads. ”

Just three or four hours ago, we stopped by a rural village on our way to the capital of the Horn Empire.

However, the farmers in the village threatened to bring everything they had from their homes as soon as they saw our behavior as being nobles.

We were momentarily embarrassed by their behavior of switching industries from farmers to bandits, but of course we chose to fight instead of giving them what we had.

Earl Randall Spay, who is the leader of Excellency Express, came to play my combination as an intermediate animist, was not something I could do, as there were hundreds of rural men.

We killed about 20 people in an instant and drove the wagon out of town. Not because I was afraid, but because I wanted to avoid any more killing.

“I thought I'd rest easy under the roof today. I've always wanted to drink wine. Tsk!”

Randall grunts and kicks his tongue.

Randall gets a lot sharper because he always has to worry about the neighborhood that won't let his guard down for a while.

Is it me?

I was ruling the frenzy with cute spirits.

Let's go camping for the full moon. It's annoying.

Anyway, at the end of all the archipelago, we were able to get to our destination.

The capital of the Horn Empire, the Imperial Tiberius.

This great city, named after Tiberius Horn, the founder of the Horn Empire, was our destination.

The walls are high and the moat is deep enough to keep the fortress impregnable. It seemed like 200,000 troops could attack day and night, but they couldn't bring it down.

“You've finally arrived. ”

Randall says as if he's trembling. You seem determined not to set foot in the Horn Empire again.

I showed the soldiers my ID as I passed through the gate.

“Huff!”

The soldiers were startled.

It was an ID to prove that it came on behalf of the Kingdom of Leaden.

The soldiers were surprised because the Kingdom of Leaden and the Horn had not had a political exchange in a long time.

An officer, who appears to be the chief officer among the soldiers, rides a horse. Probably going to report this to the Imperial Palace.

“May I pass? ”

I asked the soldiers.

They make way for a flawed surprise.

“Yes! Please pass. ”

We have entered the castle.

“Now let's see what this emperor looks like. ”

Randall glances around the unfamiliar streets, looking out the window.
