Chapter 5. Human Evidence

The next day.

I met Jason first before I left.

“You wanted to see me? ”

Jason asked me a question.

“Yes, I have a favor to ask you. Today, I want you to protect my two wives. ”

“…… What does that mean? ”

“Ah, it's no big deal. Earl Lindell is just trying to assassinate me. ”

Jason's face hardened in my words as if it were nothing.

“Where did you hear that? ”

“I have my own network. ”

“Huh. Is that Evan Taylor?" ”

Jason's guess was sharp. Oh, I wonder who isn't the son of Wolfgang Lanzhel.

“That sounds good. However, Earl Lindell is pursuing your assassination despite my confrontation with House Kunt. Is Earl Lindell making fun of me? ”

Jason looks like he's boiling. Heh heh, good. Keep getting angry.

I shrugged.

“Perhaps you've done your best elsewhere, Earl Lindell, but it's useless. ”

“I'll give you an army. If you return under my protection, there will be no attempt on your life. ”

But I shook my head.

“You don't have to. I'm going to go take care of it today. ”

“Excuse me?”

Jason looks at me surprised, shakes his head and says,

“You seem to have tremendous confidence in your animosity, but the assassins that Earl Lindell has hired are unusual. Don't lose your life in a stupor you shouldn't have. ”

“Earl Jason Lanzhel. Thank you for your consideration, but you don't have to worry. I was about to reveal my true colors. ”

I would like to take this opportunity to reveal that I am a Senior Spirit. This is the perfect time for Earl Wolfgang Lanchel to die and lose his grip on the aftermath.

By pulling Earl Ranzhel to our side and firing at Earl Lindell for attempted assassination, we will let him know that his reign of sovereignty is over.

“Your true colors? ”

“You just have to watch. So, I want you to take my wives. ”

And I opened the window and blew myself out.

Come on, shall we?

I flew high in the sky.

* * *

There is a small forest called Greywood in a straight line from Earl Ranzhel to Kunt territory. The assassin Kronelly and his group lay in ambush in the forest for three days.

Kronelly and his ten men wait patiently for the target to appear like an assassin.

However, some vigorous mercenaries began to complain. Most of them had never experienced an ambush.

“Are you sure you want to go through here? ”

“What if it had gone the other way? ”

“That's right. We're in the middle of something. ”

Kronelly disturbs those mercenaries.

Idiots who can't bear for three days. I thought I wanted to kill all those useless people, but now is not the time to make useless discord.

“I will pass through here. Caroc ligands that fly in the sky will surely travel in a straight line to Kunt territory, and that line must pass through here. ”

“But it doesn't show up. ”

“Yes!”

Kronelly grins.

“I can't believe you waited three days for this to happen. He's bragging that he's never been on an ambush before. ”

“Excuse me?”

The mercenaries who had been insulted were overwhelmed and took out their weapons.

At that moment, Cronelly's eyes darken.

“I'd like to ask the commanders of each mercenary squad before I draw that weapon. Can I slit your throats? ”

Kwajic!

Kronelly's right hand grabs and tears off a large piece of rock next to him.

It was truly superhuman.

The mercenaries who were about to draw their weapons were frightened at their appearance, and their bodies hardened like ice.

Kronelly growls at them in terror.

“Go back to where you came from. If you open your mouth one more time, I won't be able to bear it. I hate clients who try to withdraw their commissions the most, and I hate those who get in the way of their next work. ”

The mercenaries stagger and return to their stations. A heavy silence lurks between the ambush parties. No one complained anymore.

It was then.

“Here it is.”

One of your men reported to Kronelly.

Kronelly looks up at the sky.

A creature flies towards you from a distance. Looking closely, it was a round house made of dirt. A house flying in the sky, I would have seen things if I was normal.

“Targets. Wizards, bowmen, prepare. ”

As the instructions fall, the wizards begin to cast their magic spells, and the mercenaries draw their arrows into the bow.

The earthhouse is getting closer.

And as it finally passes over Greywood Forest, Kronelly summons you.

“Fire!”

“Fireballs!”

“Hold!”

Shh-shh-shh-shh-shh-shh!

The attack magic flies and the arrow rains down.

The fireball hits the earthhouse first, triggering a thunderous explosion.

Krrrrrrr!

Then an elongated rope made of Mana tied the earthhouse tightly together. It was a magical effect of four-circle hold that tied the target.

The smoke from the explosion of the Fire Ball clears up and reveals the earthhouse. Surprisingly, the earthhouse was undamaged.

No matter how many arrows hit the surface, they bounced off without hitting a millimeter. As if it were steel.

“Oh, it didn't work? ”

“It doesn't scratch! ”

“How are we supposed to shoot that thing down?! ”

The mercenaries panicked.

Kronelly's gaze subsides.

It seems that the power of the animisty is stronger than I thought. It's hard enough that fire balls and arrows won't work.

Soon, Kronelly's instructions come to light.

“Keep the target tied up with the hold. Mercenaries, cease archery. Throw a net.”

The mercenaries were embarrassed and questioned.

“You can't throw a net that high! ”

But Kronelly continues to say,

“The other wizards do not use fire balls, but float their nets to the target with the magic of the Wind family. ”

At that point, the Three Circles Wizard nodded.

“I understand.”

“When the net hits the target, it pulls all the ropes together. ”

Then the mercenaries realized Kronelly's intentions and admired the plausible operation.

The 4th Circle Wizard kept the earthhouse motionless with a hold.

And the mercenaries cast a net of iron into the sky. Of course, it was impossible to throw the net to the height of the earthhouse.

However, when the Three Circle Wizard cast the Wind Hammer, which is two circle magic, the iron net was struck by the Hammer of Wind and soared to the skies.

The small, sharp hooks attached to the iron net hang in the dirt house.

“I'm stuck!”

“Pull!”

The mercenaries pull the rope connected to the iron net. The earthhouse flinches and slowly begins to be dragged down to the ground. The mercenaries pulled the rope as hard as they could.

At last, the earthen house falls to the ground, and Kronelly commands it again.

“Mercenaries with hammers, iron maces, etc. step forward and smash that earthhouse together. ”

Then the mercenaries with blunt force weapons, such as War Hammer, Morningstar and Battle Axe, all rushed towards the earthhouse.

Boom! Boom! Rrrrgh!

The mercenaries pound the earthhouse with their own weapons. However, the solid earthhouse rarely breaks down.

“Even those who know how to handle errors join in! ”

Some mercenaries have joined Kronelly again. Two of the mercenaries were skilled fighters at coming here. They slap the earthhouse with an error in the sword.

Kuang! Kuang!

When the error hit the earthhouse, the outer surface cracked.

“Damn, what's so hard? ”

“Is this dirt? ”

“Get out of there! ”

The mercenaries beat hard at the earthhouse. Finally,

Kwajijisik!

The earthen house crumbles.

“Got it!”

“I smashed it!”

“Now this rat... Huh? ”

The excited mercenaries begin to panic as the earthhouse collapses.

There was no one in the shattered earth house.

"Trick?"

Kronelly opens his eyes.

Were you aware of the assassination attempt? Dammit, Earl Lindell got the intel. ’

It must have been that idiot, Baron Sam Lindell.

But that's not the problem now.

‘If you came here knowing.... ’

It meant I was confident that I would fight and win. Or prepared enough.

Awakened, Kronelly focuses on his senses and examines the popularity around him.

The mercenaries are still in a state of panic. I took the earthhouse hard and smashed it down, but the egg blind was empty, so I could not keep my mind.

It was then.

“Well done, everyone. Are you looking for me? ”

I heard a cheerful voice from the sky of a young man.

Everyone's gaze was unified toward the sky.

A young man in his mid-20s with dark brown hair was staring down at them, crooked in the sky.

No one knew who he was.

“Bird of Caroc Ligand! ”

“It was up in the sky! ”
