Basque looks around the training ground and walks to see if he has found anything. A moment later, he brings two wooden swords, one to Rick.
“Here, take it. ”
“What's with the wooden sword? ”
“Let's get this master thing out of my head and think about the past. ”
“ ……? ”
Basque smiles and asks the curious Rick.
“Do you remember the day you first learned swordplay from this father? It's been years. ”
“I was seven years old. ”
“Yes, you were running around in excitement. It was so cute then, but now... ”
“Are you an old man? Remembering the old days. ”
“Shut up, asshole. So think about that. How did you feel then? ”
Rick scratches his head on Basque's question.
“I was excited about it. I've always wanted to do a sword, so I ran around with the local boys with sticks. ”
Rick recalls his childhood work.
I don't know how happy I was when I first learned swordsmanship when I was seven.
Of course, it wasn't a proper sword training. Even then, my father gave me a wooden sword and fought. It was almost a knife fight, not a duel.
My father taught Rick the basics of swordsmanship because he was furious that it didn't work at all after a random attack. After learning one of the basics, Rick realizes it's much more efficient than carrying a wooden sword with a bare grip.
That way, my father taught Rick how to use a sword. They sparred more than hard training, and allowed me to learn how efficient and optimized sword fighting can be. Rick has mastered swordsmanship like a sponge with his outstanding figs, and is now a disciple of Duke Meutt.
“So, are you still having fun? Slash.”
Rick replies, as if it were natural.
“Or would I be doing this? ”
Swordsmanship was no longer a game.
To reach high ground, I had to endure a rigorous training that was never fun. If you think of it simply as play, you cannot overcome the harsh quenching.
Basque laughed.
There was only one way to become a great UAV. Feeling happy in your own life pursuing nothing. No one had to force what they didn't want to do to pay the price.
“Let's go back to that, then. ”
“When?”
“Yes, when I was seven years old when I first fought. You were much more excited then than you are now. ”
“ ……. ”
Rick is slightly irritated to see if he still treats himself as a child. However, it was determined that he would not make such an offer without any reason. Before he was a father, he was an unmanned, respectable man who stepped on his target.
Underdogs only.
“Very well.”
Rick stands up with a wooden sword in his hand. Basque also stood opposite him with a wooden sword. For an unarmed man like them, it was now a toy.
“The use of errors is prohibited. Let's just play knife fights instead of running in the body. ”
“…… You're not really making fun of me, are you? ”
“I'm your father, you bastard. Why can't you believe me? ”
“It's not that I don't trust you. You and I are different. ”
“Kind?"
Rick said to the curious Basque,
“Why are you here? My father is a superhero, and I'm not a genius. I don't know if I can be taught the right thing by different kinds of people. He's never stood in the position of a genius. ”
Rick's gaze brings tendons to Basque's forehead.
“Come on, genius. All right, let's see what you got. ”
“Great!”
Rick reaches for the ground with his right foot and flies like a crossbow and stabs it. It was a clean jab. However, as Basque turns to his side, he swings his wooden sword across his neck. Rick takes a swift step back and forth, repeating his attack and evasion. It was a typical Rick style of swordsmanship with a speedy twist.
But Basque stopped the struggle and shook his head.
“That's not it. ”
“What?”
“I thought you said swordplay. Do not spread your sword at all. Just play with me like you were when you were seven. ”
“Am I serious? Are you sure you're not making fun of me? ”
“This guy... If they meant to mock you, they would have trampled you down like a frog in a single blow! ”
One punch... A helpless frog...
This time, Rick trembles in an uproar of fury. I was even angrier because I was really able to do that.
“Then let's go! Crap!”
“Come as you please. ”
Rick lunges at you, swinging his wooden sword. Despite being formless, he was also not an ordinary attack, considering he was Excellent Expert.
But Basque is the master of error.
You step back lightly and return the assault to its zeroes.
Rick continues on his pursuit of Basque and attacks fiercely, but the occasional counterattack breaks the flow.
‘Dammit! You really treat me like a child!' ’
Rick could feel the skin on his face that he was really the master of coming.
A father who is as innocent as a child.
Self-tempered when an attack doesn't work.
Then it felt really strange to go back to the age of seven.
‘Hehe.’
Suddenly, I was lost.
I didn't feel weird.
"You can't. Okay, you're gonna be a seven-year-old! ’
I erased the concept of sword from my mind, and I felt liberated. This is the way to do it, this move is inefficient, make sure your defenses are tight so that holes are not exposed, etc... All those notions vanish and Rick attacks like a child, nonetheless.
The user jumps up and over its head with the target in front of it. This may also kick the target in the head. They were childish movements that an unmanned person would never do.
“Haha! Yes, that's it! ”
Basque also hangs out with Rick more vigorously, as if excited. He was able to defeat the opponent at any time, but now he's a father who deals with his young son, not an unarmed man.
As the struggle continues, Rick becomes increasingly ecstatic. I didn't feel the need to think and think about the liberation of being able to move away from formation.
All the distractions go away and Rick moves on his own.
But Rick doesn't feel it.
He empties his mind and abandons his sword. Instead, his attack grows swifter and sharper.
The best swords that had never been stretched before began to unfold in a state of complete unconsciousness, even though the idea of attack had to be staggered.
I knew it!
Basque enjoyed inner peace.
He also knew. The fact that he's a genius.
When he first taught me swordsmanship, Basque felt the thrill of Rick's genius.
Overpower the opponent with a weapon called a sword.
Rick instinctively understands the nature of the sword. Even as a child, he felt that he was using his sword in an inefficient way. So I taught him one basic move of sword, and he quickly acquired it.
And now, more than 20 years later,
Rick learns swordplay under the command of Duke Meutt. I have been continuously practicing swordsmanship, and have also been watching the master of error, Duke Meutt, for a long time.
Rick would know if he was a genius. I don't know what the ultimate swordsmanship is, but I'm sure I know it by my latent instinct. The evidence was that he gained a clue in the battle between Marquis Caroc and the Great Gen.
But Rick hasn't thrown away his shell yet.
Basque was confident that he would not be able to cross the final gate to the Master because he had not abandoned the formation of the sword he had worked so hard for.
Basque chose this kind of swordplay to remove and liberate its shell.
He was a father who knew Rick better than anyone, so that's how you figure it out.
“Tsk!”
Basque, who was on the defensive side, suddenly stabbed Rick in the chest with a wooden sword.
Rick tilts his torso to the side and misses by tilting the wooden sword.
That's it!
Seeing Rick's defensive posture unwittingly, Basque cries out in joy.
That's exactly what Earl Great Gen showed us when he stopped Caroc from going blind!
