Chapter 111: Sword Domain (Part 1)
"Have you heard about what happened in Class A?"
"Yeah. To think a stupid commoner would awaken a Legendary Grade Trait."
"Not only did he awaken a Legendary Grade Trait, but he even challenged Kevin to a fight. They are going to have a match in the Challenge Arena."
"Seems like awakening a Legendary Grade Trait really made him lose his mind. Not to mention, Kevin himself has a Legendary Grade Trait. I don’t think he could even beat me with his skills and battle arts."
"Let’s go. I really want to see Kevin teach that guy his place."
"By the way, what do you guys think about Edrin’s matter?"
"Huh? What happened to him? Did that commoner pick a fight with him as well?"
"No, it’s completely different. After the class..."
"Are you serious?"
"If you don’t believe me, you can ask around. There were many people who saw it."
"I always felt unsettled because of that crooked smile on that guy’s face. Now I understand that the unsettling feeling wasn’t because of his smile, but because of his colorful thoughts."
"Yeah, who would have thought someone from the Stormvale Family would be into this kind of stuff?"
The entire academy was abuzz with discussions about what had happened in Class A earlier.
Some were talking about William awakening a Legendary Grade Trait, some were talking about his upcoming fight against Kevin, while even more people were talking about Edrin having unusual tastes when it came to affection.
But no matter what they were talking about, everything was, in one way or another, related to William, who was the root cause of everything.
As such, many people made their way toward the Challenge Arena to watch the show.
Alicia was in Class B, and their class had ended before William’s because they didn’t need to go through Trait Assessment. They were only called to learn about the upcoming classes and how their schedules would be arranged.
As such, when she heard about what had happened, she also rushed toward the Challenge Arena.
’I told them to be careful around the people from the Duke Families, but they went ahead and messed with them on the first day...’
She couldn’t help but grumble inwardly, feeling a headache coming on as she thought about their recklessness.
At the same time, she also couldn’t help but show a look of disgust.
’I always felt that guy Edrin was a bit off. But to think he was someone like that. He even threatened William and Liam to serve him tonight...’
The Challenge Arena wasn’t far from her classroom building, and she soon reached it.
Because the Challenge Arena was a place where students often sparred with each other to hone their fighting skills and battle arts, it was one of the most famous and largest facilities in the academy.
The entire battle arena looked like a giant stadium, with an area of approximately twenty-five square kilometers.
When Alicia reached the battle arena, she saw two familiar figures walking toward the entrance of the arena.
Because one of them had a face shining under the sunlight due to the oil he had applied to his skin, it was very easy to spot them among the crowd.
Alicia hurried toward William and Liam, and as she got closer to them, she heard them talking in low voices.
"What were you shouting about earlier? When did those guys tell us to become their hidden lovers and serve that so-called Edrin?"
"I was just messing with them," William answered with a chuckle. "After today’s lesson, they won’t dare to play with us again."
When Alicia heard their conversation, her eyes widened in shock, and she stared at William’s back as if she were looking at the incarnation of evil itself.
Because of his earlier statement, the entire academy now thought that Edrin was gay—and not only gay, but someone who used his family’s power to force male students to serve him.
But here she was, hearing that it was merely something William had come up with on a whim.
"You are really wicked."
She walked up to them and looked at him with wide eyes.
"You destroyed that guy’s reputation in an instant. Now, even if he somehow clarifies that he isn’t gay, this matter will definitely haunt him for a long time."
Liam was startled when Alicia suddenly appeared before them and began to sweat slightly.
After all, they had only met a few times, and he wasn’t sure whether she would take Edrin’s side and reveal that William had been lying.
William, on the other hand showed a calm smile, as he had already sensed Alicia approaching them.
"That’s what he gets for trying to mess with us," He said with a shake of his head. "That guy sent his two lackeys to bother us, wanting to act like a good guy later and save us from them. So I simply taught him a small lesson."
As he spoke, they entered the arena, and a vast stadium filled with numerous students sitting in the audience seats came into their view.
In the middle of the arena, there were many rings, most of them occupied by students who were sparring with each other.
Loud cheers filled the entire arena as students cheered for their favorite contestants to win.
"Is this place always so popular?"
Liam couldn’t help but ask in surprise as he looked at the numerous students in the stands.
"Not really..." Alicia shook her head. "Although students come here all the time to watch other students spar and hone their own skills, it’s not this crowded all the time."
As she spoke, she looked around the rings in the center area and soon noticed a ring where only a single student was standing.
"It’s because of him that it is so crowded."
Following the direction Alicia was pointing, Liam saw Kevin standing in the middle of a ring, his entire being emitting an icy coldness.
William also saw him, but his expression remained completely unchanged.
"Have you talked to your brother?"
"You are still thinking about another matter at a time like this..."
Alicia’s mouth couldn’t help but twitch when she heard William’s words, but she still nodded.
"I talked to him. I will take you to meet him the day after tomorrow."
"Thanks for your hard work..." William said and began walking toward the ring where Kevin was standing.
"Let me treat you guys after taking care of that guy."
"Just don’t come back with some broken bones," Liam couldn’t help but say after seeing how carefree he looked.
William chuckled when he heard Liam’s words and replied without looking back.
"Don’t worry. Everything will be over in just a few minutes."
