RE: LORD OF TIME

Chapter 76: Liam

Zavier was at the early stage of the Star Warrior realm, the same level as William.

But if their strength was compared, they were worlds apart.

Even without using Aether Energy, the current William could kill an early-stage Star Warrior in just a few moves using nothing but his physical body.

As such, when William suddenly attacked Zavier, who was standing right in front of him, the latter couldn’t even react before his face was slammed into the ground.

Graham and Howard’s eyes widened as they stared at William with expressions of utter astonishment.

Even the other students nearby stopped what they were doing and looked in their direction with great interest.

"You... You..." Zavier slowly raised his bloodied head with great difficulty, staring at William with a mixture of rage and disbelief as he simply couldn’t believe that a mere commoner had actually dared to hit him.

William’s calm expression had disappeared by this point, and the way he looked at Zavier was as if he were staring at a piece of trash.

"When someone gives you good advice, you should listen to it. Understand?" William leaned down slightly and spoke in a low, indifferent voice.

The anger in Zavier’s heart burned even hotter when he heard William’s words and saw the look of undisguised disdain in his eyes.

"You motherfu—"

Bang!

Before he could finish speaking, a foot landed directly on top of his head, smashing his face against the ground once again.

"It seems you didn’t listen to what I said earlier," William said as he gradually increased the pressure.

The force became so great that Zavier’s face was pressed firmly into the ground, while his legs instinctively kicked in the air as he struggled to breathe.

"You..." Graham and Howard’s expressions changed drastically when they saw this, and they instinctively stepped forward to stop William.

However, William merely glanced at them once and that single glance rendered both of them completely motionless.

Their bodies stiffened, and neither of them dared to take another step.

Howard and Graham were both commoners who had registered at the academy only yesterday.

Because they possessed High Grade Aether Affinity, Zavier had invited them to join him. After hearing about the small benefits they would receive, they agreed and had begun following him around as his lackeys.

Neither of them had ever experienced a real fight, much less encountered someone like William, whose gaze carried a terrifying killing intent.

With their current mentality, it was already impressive that neither of them had wet their pants as fighting William to save Zavier was simply beyond their courage.

Meanwhile, Zavier struggled harder and harder, his hands and feet pounding against the ground.

He desperately tried to push William’s foot away from his head, but regardless of how much strength he used, it didn’t even budge.

Just as his vision began to blur and he was about to lose consciousness from the lack of oxygen, the pressure suddenly disappeared.

He immediately raised his head and greedily gasped for air.

"Now do you understand?" The devil-like cold voice reached his ears once again.

He slowly lifted his head and saw William looking down at him.

"You won’t use those words again, right?"

Feeling William’s cold gaze fixed upon him, as if it were slowly crushing his pride, Zavier wanted to explode in anger.

However, what had just happened genuinely frightened him.

At this moment, he truly believed that this commoner was nothing more than a lunatic who simply didn’t care about the consequences of attacking a noble.

"What? It seems you still haven’t learned your lesson." Seeing that Zavier remained silent, William slowly raised his foot again.

The moment Zavier saw that movement, his face instantly turned pale.

"I understand! I completely understand!" He hurriedly shouted. "I will never use those words again."

William’s raised foot stopped, and the indifferent expression on his face gradually disappeared.

"It’s good that you understand." He reached out, helped Zavier to his feet, and even dusted the dirt off his clothes.

"We are all classmates, so there’s no need for us to fight each other," William said with a sincere expression.

"I simply felt that your way of speaking might cause you problems in the future, so I only wanted to help you correct it. I hope you won’t take offense."

The students watching from the sidelines were all stunned by William’s sudden change in attitude.

Some of them even wondered whether everything they had witnessed moments ago had merely been an illusion.

Zavier was equally stunned.

Looking at William’s seemingly sincere expression, which was completely different from the cold face he had shown earlier, he gritted his teeth inwardly while forcing out a strained smile.

"I understand. I know you were only trying to help me," He said with tightly clenched fists, feeling as though the rage inside his heart was about to burn him alive.

"That guy is Zavier Moss, right?"

"That’s right. I didn’t expect him to get beaten so badly on his very first day at the academy."

"Hah, he always acts so arrogant. Looks like he finally picked the wrong person."

The whispered discussions from the surrounding students reached Zavier’s ears, causing him to clench his fists even tighter.

"I... I will take my leave," Zavier said in a hoarse voice before immediately turning around and leaving.

When Graham and Howard saw this, they exchanged glances before quickly following after him.

William calmly watched Zavier’s departing figure, his mind already racing.

’With such a commotion, they should come looking for me soon, right?’ He thought as his gaze swept across the surrounding crowd.

Suddenly, his eyes paused on a woman standing behind the spectators.

She was dressed in a luxurious purple gown and was watching everything unfold as though she had come to enjoy an opera performance.

William’s gaze lingered on her for only a brief moment before he looked away.

’This troublesome woman is here as well, huh...’ He thought inwardly before turning around and walking away.

The woman in the purple dress watched William’s departing figure with great interest before the corners of her lips curled upward slightly.

’It seems life here won’t be as boring as I imagined,’ She thought before making her way toward the registration building.

Meanwhile, William walked in the direction where Liam was standing.

Liam had also noticed the commotion earlier and was still in a state of shock after witnessing such an explosive scene immediately after arriving at the academy.

As the crowd gradually dispersed and everyone returned to their own business, Liam also prepared to head toward the registration building, having finally noticed its location while watching the commotion.

However, just as he was about to walk over, he saw the young man who had just beaten up the noble stop right in front of him.

"Are you also a new student?"

Seeing it was William who had asked the question, Liam’s body stiffened slightly.
