"What’s wrong?"

Seeing William suddenly stop, Liam asked in confusion.

"Let’s go to the cafeteria after meeting someone," William replied and turned around to walk in another direction.

"Meeting someone?" Alicia and Liam looked at each other, and seeing William walking away, they quickly followed after him.

William led them toward the stairs, and they walked toward the top stands, which were usually reserved for important figures of the academy.

"Who are you going to meet?" Alicia couldn’t help but ask when she saw where they were heading.

"Professor Norman," William said calmly. "He just sent me a voice transmission, asking me to go see him."

"Professor Norman?" Alicia’s eyes widened slightly upon hearing William’s words.

Seeing her reaction, Liam asked in confusion.

"Is there something special about Professor Norman?"

Alicia took a deep breath to suppress the shock in her heart before speaking in a low voice.

"Professor Norman actually used to be the Captain of the Royal Guards, a unit that worked directly under the Royal Family. He retired not long ago, and it was rumored that because he owed Duke Charles a favor, he came to be a professor at the academy to repay it."

"Captain of the Royal Guards..." Liam’s eyes flashed with confusion because he felt as if he had heard that title before.

Seeing the confusion on his face, William reminded him.

"You must have heard about the monster tide three years ago that nearly destroyed the western part of the kingdom, right?"

The instant Liam heard William’s words, he finally remembered why that title sounded familiar to him.

"Holy shit! Wasn’t it said that the person who stopped that massive monster tide was the Captain of the Royal Guards? Are you saying that guy was Professor Norman?"

"Correct." Alicia nodded with a look of admiration. "From what I know, he entered deep into the monster tide alone at that time and killed the three monster leaders who were controlling the tide, saving the western part of the kingdom from being completely taken over by monsters."

Liam was still in a state of shock after learning about Professor Norman and couldn’t help but mutter.

"But wasn’t it rumored that the captain of the Royal Guards is a bloodthirsty maniac? Professor Norman looked quite normal to me. He even gave me advice about my trait."

William’s mouth couldn’t help but twitch when he heard Liam’s words, and he wanted to tell him that those rumors were absolutely true.

It was just that you couldn’t walk around the academy with a bloodthirsty look on your face, right?

That man was simply keeping a normal expression so that the students wouldn’t label him as a psycho.

"Really? Professor Norman gave you advice about your trait?" Alicia was also surprised because similar to Liam, she had also heard the rumors that Professor Norman was a bloodthirsty maniac.

"Yeah. Other than having a bit of an eccentric personality, he is actually quite good."

"You really can’t trust rumors, huh..." Alicia shook her head and sighed slightly, feeling that people had been too quick to ruin the reputation of such a good person.

William listened to their conversation with an expressionless face, barely holding himself back from shattering the image of that guy in their minds.

After all, who knew if that guy was still paying attention to them?

If he said anything bad about him, wouldn’t that petty guy hold a grudge against him?

Just as they were about to reach the top stands, Alicia seemed to remember something that she had completely overlooked.

In fact, it wasn’t just her. Everyone present in the battle arena had overlooked a very crucial thing.

"William..." She looked at him with eyes full of shock.

William saw the shock in Alicia’s eyes and asked in confusion.

"What’s wrong?"

Alicia took a deep breath to calm herself before asking in a trembling voice.

"The sword you used during your match... That absurdly long sword... That was a Soul Armament, right?"

"Oh, that..." A look of realization flashed in William’s eyes, and he finally understood why she was shocked.

When he used Rendering Moon Slash in the battle arena, he had summoned Blood Moon from his Sea of Consciousness.

And only a Soul Armament could be stored inside a person’s Sea of Consciousness.

"Yes, that’s my Soul Armament."

Hearing William’s confirmation, a baffled look appeared on Alicia’s face.

"But how...?" She couldn’t help but ask, as even she didn’t possess a Soul Armament.

It wasn’t that her family wasn’t wealthy enough to make one for her.

The problem was the materials required to create one.

Especially an Astral Rift Core, which was the main material needed to create a Soul Armament.

Even with her family’s connections, it was difficult to obtain an Astral Rift Core.

And now William, who was obviously a commoner, already had a Soul Armament.

This was simply too absurd in her eyes.

William smiled slightly and spoke in a smug voice.

"It’s that senior I told you about. She is the one who gave me this Soul Armament."

"Are you serious?" Alicia couldn’t help but ask in astonishment, her jaw nearly dropping to the ground.

Liam, who had long ago labeled William as a gigolo, couldn’t help but feel jealous and muttered in a low voice.

"I hope your kidneys are still alright."

"Huh?" William looked at Liam in confusion, but before he could ask anything, Alicia nodded.

"You are still young. You should pay attention to your health. Don’t try too hard to please that damn senior just to receive some expensive gifts from her."

Now Alicia had also labeled William as a gigolo. After all, she had heard about noble ladies having secret lovers and helping them with resources.

Black lines appeared on William’s forehead when he heard Liam’s and Alicia’s words, and he spoke while gritting his teeth.

"I say, don’t you think both of you have a very wild imagination?"

"Are we wrong, then?" Liam sneered. "Don’t tell me that senior is taking care of you because she fell in love with you."

"That’s the truth." William shrugged, then gave Liam a disdainful look. "But you can forget about experiencing this bliss. No senior is ever going to take a liking to you."

"You..." Liam’s eyes twitched, and he spoke with a snort. "Even if a senior wanted to take care of me, I would immediately refuse because I have dignity."

"Yeah, yeah..." William simply showed a smile that was asking to be punched, making Liam want to beat him up.

Just as they were talking, William noticed that they had finally reached their destination.

He was about to knock on the door of the room where Norman was when, suddenly, the door of the room beside it opened, and Noah and Joseph walked out.
