Before returning home, William used his star-attributed Aether Energy to create water and thoroughly cleaned himself.

Because of his earlier breakthrough, he was soaked in blood.

If a farmer were to see current him in the middle of this dark night, they would definitely think they had encountered some inauspicious creature.

His clothes were also covered in blood, but with the water created from his Aether Energy, he easily washed away all the bloodstains.

Once he was clean, he used the fire attribute of his Star Energy to dry both himself and his clothes.

He also went to the place where he had broken through and thoroughly cleaned that area.

Although he had tested the Seven Steps of Supreme in a barren area of the Rosco Barony, it was still inside the barony, not out in the wilderness.

Once people saw the destruction he had caused by morning, it would surely attract a great deal of attention, and he wanted to eliminate every possibility of anyone tracing it back to him.

Once everything was done, he returned home and immediately lay down on his bed.

The breakthrough to the Star Warrior Realm had already been extremely exhausting, and afterward he had fought against a Time Worm.

Not to mention that he had tested the Seven Steps of Supreme, which had consumed almost eighty percent of his current Aether Energy reserves just to take a single step.

All of these things had completely exhausted both his body and mind, and all he wanted now was to take a long nap.

He didn’t even think about using True Wisdom to merge the Timeless Scripture with the Supreme Star Scripture because he was simply too tired.

Barely a minute after lying down, he fell asleep.

When he finally woke up, William felt as though he had slept for a very long time.

Leaving his bed, he stretched lazily before walking out of his room.

As soon as he stepped outside, he saw that the sun was already shining brightly in the sky.

This surprised William because, judging by the sun’s position, he could tell that it was already well past ten in the morning.

Normally, his mother woke him up early every day. But today, she hadn’t woken him even though it was already past ten.

"Did she come to wake me up, but I was so exhausted that I didn’t even notice?" He couldn’t help but wonder.

Just then, he heard Elena’s voice coming from outside.

He once again raised an eyebrow in surprise because by this time she should have already gone to work in the fields.

Curious, he walked out of the house and saw his mother gathered with several neighboring women, all chatting excitedly.

He also saw his father, Karl, standing with a group of farmers nearby, discussing something among themselves.

Wanting to know what everyone was talking about, William perked up his ears like a curious cat and listened to the women’s conversation.

As for why he chose the women’s group instead of the men’s?

Did that even need an explanation?

If you wanted to hear the latest news and gossip in the neighborhood, listening to the women was always the best choice.

It was fine before he started listening, but the moment he heard what they were discussing, William nearly choked on his own breath.

"Yes, yes. I also heard those two wanted some excitement. That’s why they went to that barren area to play around and caused such a scene."

"They only got married three days ago. It’s not surprising they wanted to have some fun, but playing so wildly that they destroyed such a big area... Today’s young people are really something else."

"What do you know?" A fat auntie suddenly interrupted before lowering her voice.

"I am telling you, those two were actually possessed by some kind of inauspicious creatures because it’s impossible for normal people to cause..."

William stopped listening any further because he felt that if he continued, he would need to visit the Church of Light for mental treatment.

He shifted his attention to the men’s group and became equally speechless when he heard that those grown men were discussing exactly the same thing.

’These people... They are talking about the destroyed area I left behind after using the Seven Steps of Supreme.’

The only difference was that, according to their version of the story, the destroyed area had appeared because a newlywed couple wanted some extra excitement in their lives, so they had gone to the barren land to play wildly.

William recalled the wedding banquet he had attended with his parents three days ago to freeload some food and immediately realized which couple everyone was talking about.

But the question in his mind was...

How in the world had that destroyed area become associated with those two people?

As he continued listening to the men’s conversation, his expression became even stranger.

From what they were saying, a farmer’s wife had discovered the destroyed area early morning.

After seeing the destroyed area, she had been scared out of her wits, thinking that some terrifying monster had somehow sneaked into the barony.

As such, she immediately ran away from the area.

While running, she happened to see the newlywed couple enthusiastically contributing to the kingdom’s future population a short distance away from the destroyed land.

Soon afterward, news of both the destroyed area and the couple spread throughout the barony.

According to the couple, that destroyed area had nothing to do with them.

They had simply gone out for a morning walk.

Since the cool breeze was blowing and both of them were feeling particularly energetic, they had decided to do some outdoor exercise.

As this story spread from one person to another, the rumors became more and more outrageous until they eventually turned into the version William was hearing now.

’No... Seriously... Is this kind of absurd scenario even possible?’

William was genuinely stunned after hearing such an explosive story immediately after waking up.

He rubbed his forehead before turning around and walking back into the house because he felt that if he listened to these people any longer, he might genuinely need mental treatment himself.

As for the couple who had been dragged into this ridiculous rumor, he wasn’t worried about them.

The people sent to investigate the destroyed area would simply cast a Confession Spell on them, and their names would naturally be cleared.

Returning inside, William first checked whether there was anything to eat.

Finding that his mother had left breakfast for him, he quickly finished everything.

Although, after becoming a Star Warrior, his appetite had increased considerably, so he still didn’t feel completely full after eating.

However, it was enough to keep him from feeling hungry, so he didn’t mind.

He returned to his room and after closing the door behind him, he sat down on his bed and took a deep breath.

The book containing the Timeless Scripture appeared in his hand, and his eyes narrowed.

"Let’s begin..." He muttered under his breath and the next instant, the pupil inside his Sea of Consciousness, which represented his True Wisdom Trait, trembled as he activated its ability to connect his consciousness to the Source of the World.

Instantly, William felt as though a Big Bang had exploded inside his mind.

Every distracting thought vanished, leaving behind absolute clarity.

He seemed to witness a world being born from chaos before exploding once again, transforming into countless chains of Rules that formed the very foundation of existence.

Looking at those chains of Rules, William felt his mind being irresistibly drawn toward them, as though he could understand their inner workings as long as he focused on them.

However, he forcefully suppressed that urge because observing the Rules of the world wasn’t the purpose of using his trait today.

Lowering his gaze, his eyes, which seemed to contain countless stars at this moment landed upon the Timeless Scripture in his hands.

The amount of time he could remain connected to the Source of the World depended entirely on his mental strength because observing the Source wasn’t an easy task.

His time was limited and he needed to work quickly.

William opened the Timeless Scripture and rapidly read through the starting part, which corresponded to the Star Warrior, Star Commander, and Star Lord Realms.

Ordinarily, even an extraordinary genius would need weeks, if not months, to fully comprehend the beginning of a cultivation technique of this level.

But under the effects of True Wisdom, William completely understood everything contained within those Chapters in less than thirty seconds.

Once he had fully comprehended the opening portion of the Timeless Scripture, he closed the book.

Then, with the immense enhancement granted by his connection to the Source of the World, he began considering how to merge the Supreme Star Scripture with the Timeless Scripture.

His thoughts moved like a supercomputer, producing one possibility after another.

Some ideas proved workable, while others were quickly discarded because he realized they would create major flaws in the later stages of the cultivation technique.

He remained connected to the Source of the World for nearly fifteen minutes before his mental energy was finally exhausted.

A splitting headache suddenly assaulted his mind, forcibly severing his connection to the Source of the World.

When William regained his senses, he felt so mentally drained that he immediately collapsed onto his bed, his eyes filled with exhaustion.

However, even that exhaustion couldn’t hide the excitement shining within them.

"It’s really possible... I can merge the Timeless Scripture with the Supreme Star Scripture..." He muttered under his breath, unable to hide his excitement.

What made him even happier was that the process would actually be easier than he had originally expected.

"As expected of an Ancient Grade Trait. Its effects are truly incredible..." William said as he rubbed his tired eyes.

"At this rate, I should be able to merge the starting part of the Timeless Scripture before the Aether Affinity Test."

With that thought in mind, he could no longer resist the overwhelming drowsiness and finally drifted into a deep sleep.

From that day onward, William devoted most of his time to merging the Supreme Star Scripture with the Timeless Scripture while occasionally making preparations for the upcoming Aether Affinity Test.

Just like that, time passed like a gentle breeze, and before he realized it, only one day remained before the Aether Affinity Test.
