RE: LORD OF TIME

Chapter 120: I Thought He Was A Gentleman

The next day, William and Liam left their dormitory and headed towards their classroom.

Because of yesterday’s event, many people recognized William, and they couldn’t help but talk about him.

Some people who did not understand what kind of move William had used whispered that he had used some kind of artifact, while others were saying he had used some kind of potion to temporarily increase his power.

Of course, there were also people who recognized that William had manifested the power of his trait into the outside world.

When these people looked at William, their eyes were still filled with shock because they couldn’t understand how a Star Warrior was able to manifest the power of his trait in the outside world.

People’s control over their traits was divided into four levels.

The first was Basic Level. At this stage, people didn’t actively use their traits and simply let them work on their own.

Just like how William didn’t need to do anything, and his Sword Dominator Trait would increase the attack power of all his sword moves by 350% on its own.

The second stage was actively controlling your trait and letting its power affect the outside world.

This stage required the user to have an extremely high level of control and understanding of their trait.

Because of his experience from the original timeline, William already had a very high understanding of his traits. Although they had evolved, their fundamental essence was still the same.

The only thing he lacked to fully manifest the power of his traits in the outside world was sufficient soul power.

And the Soul Spring Trait granted him that soul power, allowing him to manifest the power of his trait into the outside world.

The third stage was to turn the outside world into an absolute territory governed by the power of your trait.

This stage was very difficult, and William didn’t reach this level even in the original timeline.

As for the last stage, it was only a rumored stage. He had heard from some people that when a person’s control, understanding, and state of soul reached a certain level, they could directly create a different world with the power of their trait.

In the area affected by their trait, no one would be able to use any other power, becoming a sheep on the chopping block.

Though, whether it was true or not, no one could confirm it, as on the surface, no one had ever reached this level.

Soon, William and Liam reached Class A, and the instant they entered, the noisy classroom instantly quieted down.

Unlike yesterday, when only commoners were present when William and Liam had arrived, today many nobles had also come early.

William couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow because he saw Noah, Maya, Edrin, and even Kevin were already in the class.

Surprisingly, Kevin wasn’t sitting on the seat William and Liam had taken yesterday but was sharing a bench with Noah, who still had the same impassive expression as yesterday.

"You better give me an explanation about yesterday."

The instant they stepped inside, a cold voice filled with hatred reached their ears.

William glanced sideways and saw Edrin looking at him with anger-filled eyes.

Since yesterday, his life had turned into a living nightmare.

No matter where he went in the academy, people would give him a weird look and talk about things that made him want to kill them.

Like that wasn’t enough, some male students had even approached him and told him that as long as he provided them with some resources, they were willing to serve him in both body and soul.

He was so angry when he was approached by those people that he nearly fainted from anger.

On top of that, this matter had already reached his family, and considering the kind of impact it would have on their reputation, they immediately told him to solve this issue as soon as possible.

So, the moment Edrin saw William, he couldn’t hold himself back from confronting him.

"I am telling you, if you don’t clear up the misunderstanding you have caused, you will regret it."

"Alright, alright, I know it was my fault," William spoke with a shake of his head. "I was just joking yesterday. You never sent those two people to us, saying you wanted us to serve you in bed."

As he spoke, William nudged Liam’s shoulder.

"Right, Liam? He never sent those people to threaten us into becoming his secret lovers, right?"

"Uhhh..." Liam was startled when William suddenly called him, but he still nodded. "Right, William was just joking yesterday."

"See, everyone..." William looked at the students in the class and showed a sincere smile. "The young lord Edrin here doesn’t have any special hobbies. I was merely joking. I hope you guys won’t take my words to heart."

After speaking, he looked at Edrin and spoke in a low voice.

"See, Lord Edrin, I have clarified the matter. Please don’t trouble us anymore."

After speaking, William did not wait for him and quickly went to his seat, as if he didn’t want to stay close to Edrin.

Edrin opened his mouth to say something, but he felt as if something was stuck in his throat.

Even though William had clarified the matter, he felt as if he had made it even worse.

And sure enough, just as William returned to his seat, he heard the students talking.

"Why do I feel like the reason that guy backed away was because he was threatened by Edrin?"

"Shhh... Do you have a death wish? Don’t always speak your mind. No one here is dumb."

"I knew it. This guy really has colorful thoughts."

"I actually always wondered why all the followers around him were male. At first, I thought it was because he was a gentleman and didn’t want to get entangled with women. But oh my, who would have thought there was such a hidden plot here?"

Black lines popped out on Edrin’s forehead as he heard the ridiculous things these people were saying.

Maya, who was sitting on the bench beside him, also shifted a little farther away from him. No one knew what she was thinking.

When Edrin noticed this, he looked towards William, who had already taken his seat and was looking at everything with an innocent expression, and gritted his teeth.

"Bastard..." He said through gritted teeth and sat down with a gloomy expression.

William glanced at Edrin’s gloomy expression from the corner of his eyes and couldn’t help but chuckle inwardly.

Liam watched William’s amused expression and couldn’t help but feel pity for Edrin.

Just then, Liam felt someone looking towards them and turned his head, only to see Kevin staring at them—or, to be more precise, at William.

William also noticed Kevin’s gaze and raised an eyebrow at him.

"What? Want to fight again?"

Kevin’s eyes twitched slightly at William’s nonchalant expression, and he spoke in a low voice.

"You might be stronger than me for now, but I will definitely beat you soon."

"Oh..." William nodded with a flat expression and silently looked away, not bothering to say anything.

Kevin’s eyes twitched even more violently when he saw this, and he also looked away with a snort.

Noah remained silent throughout their exchange as he was wondering how he should invite William to join the student council, as that was what Joseph had instructed him to do.

A few minutes passed, and all the students had already arrived in the class.

Just then, the sound of heavy footsteps echoed from outside, and Norman entered the classroom.

He walked to the podium and looked at everyone with the same indifferent and slightly irritated expression he had on his face yesterday.

"Today, I will teach you about the most fundamental thing that we need for our evolution..."

As he spoke, Norman tapped on a round glass ball placed on the podium, and the entire classroom turned dark.

But not even a second later, colorful particles began to appear all around the classroom, making it look like a night sky adorned with colorful stars.

"Today’s topic is Aether Energy."

Norman’s voice echoed, and because of the light emitted by the particles, the classroom was no longer completely dark.

Norman pointed towards one of the students sitting at the back and asked,

"You, tell me, what is Aether Energy?"

William and the others turned around and saw that Norman was pointing at the tall, burly student.

William’s expression turned a bit strange when he saw it was Brown, and his eyes twitched slightly.

’Considering this guy’s personality, the answer he gives will most likely not be simple.’

Just as William was thinking, Brown stood up and scratched the back of his head.

He thought for a moment before answering cautiously.

"Aether Energy is... today’s topic."

The entire class immediately burst into laughter, and even Norman couldn’t help but show a strange expression.

"Well... he ain’t wrong," William muttered with a chuckle, remembing that Norman had just said today’s topic was Aether Energy.
