Chapter 1506: Preparations
When they got back home, the kids were all out; at this time they should be listening to Master Shang telling stories.
"Dad, Aunt Yang." The young couple greeted the two of them.
"Guodong, how long until Ruoyan and the others come back?"
"About half an hour, I think. What’s up?"
"Then let’s wait for them."
"Let me say it. Guodong, Xue’er, I want to let Ruoyan and those three all go to the Capital together. I know you two need to study, so I was thinking of finding someone like Zhang Qiu’e, just someone to wash their clothes and cook for them.
Your dad and I have to stay here and keep making wine. If one day my hometown side really can open a winery, we’ll go over there too.
The household registrations of those three—Ruoyan and her brothers—are all in the Capital, so I was thinking of letting them go there to go to school. Your dad and I can just focus on brewing."
Guodong and Li Xue both nodded. "Aunt Yang, actually we’ve talked about this ourselves. We really did want Ruoyan and the three of them to come to the Capital with us, but we were afraid you wouldn’t want to let them go. Now that you agree, that’s of course the best."
Li Xue had spent a lot of time with the two younger brothers-in-law and one younger sister-in-law, and their bond was strong. Sometimes she even felt those three kids were like her own.
"Thank you, Xue’er." Yang Xiuqin thanked her from the heart. The three children hadn’t actually spent that long a time with them. Mainly, all her energy had gone into Lv Beiguang. Inevitably, she’d neglected the kids, and when it came to choosing, she would always choose to follow her husband.
Lv Beiguang was very satisfied after hearing his daughter-in-law’s words. "Xue’er, then I’ll be relying on you to worry about them from now on."
"Dad, Aunt Yang, don’t worry, we’ll definitely take good care of the younger ones.
And you two, don’t work yourselves too hard. If it doesn’t work, think of a way so other people don’t come into contact with the recipe, and then you can just hire more people to do the work."
Lv Beiguang nodded. He’d thought about it too: once everyone left and it was just the two of them, and the demand was still this big, relying only on the two of them really wasn’t realistic, so hiring people was a must.
They heard movement next door, and in no time the seven kids came back. Looking at them, Lv Beiguang felt that after Guodong and Li Xue graduated they could have a few more children. Life is really just about having people around.
Yiqing and his two younger siblings were quite surprised to see Dad and Mom both there.
Hongpeng and his two siblings also smiled and called out to them.
"Dad, you’re back?"
"Yiqing, Ruoyan, Yixin, I just want to ask you something. Your brother and sister-in-law are all going to the Capital, and of course Aunt Jiang next door and her whole family are going back too. What do you three think?"
"Dad, you and Mom are staying?" Ruoyan asked.
Lv Beiguang held his daughter’s hand and nodded. "Yes, your mom and I are staying."
Ruoyan glanced at her brother and sister-in-law. "Sister-in-law, can we go with you?"
Li Xue smiled and nodded. "Of course you can. Once you go to the Capital, you’ll also be going to kindergarten. You’ll just come home at night to eat and sleep.
Actually, I won’t be taking that much care of you."
"Thank you, Sister-in-law." Ruoyan turned around, smiling at Lv Beiguang. "Dad, we want to go to the Capital. Master Shang is there, and Master Wu, and our brothers and sisters."
"What about you two brothers?"
Yiqing nodded; Yixin was a bit torn. He leaned into Yang Xiuqin’s arms. "Mom, if we all leave, it’ll just be you and Dad left."
Yang Xiuqin’s eyes reddened; she hadn’t expected the youngest one to be the one who thought about her the most.
"It’s okay. Dad and Mom will be very busy. Once you get to the Capital you must behave. Your brother and sister-in-law and your sister and brother-in-law all have to study; you can’t hold them back."
The three kids all nodded, and that settled it.
On the way back home, Yang Xiuqin said, "Tomorrow I’ll go talk to Xinyu. I think the kids should stay at her house, and I really feel bad about it."
Lv Beiguang had also decided to talk to Wei Kaiyun; it really was like that. The two of them could eat at the canteen, which would give them plenty of time to brew. It was also better for the kids: proper schools have winter and summer breaks, and when they missed the children, they could have them come home.
The next morning, after breakfast, Yang Xiuqin went to the Wei Family.
Jiang Xinyu saw Yang Xiuqin coming. "Even if you hadn’t come to me today, I’d have gone to you. What are you planning to do with the three kids?"
"Xinyu, that’s exactly why I came to you.
Yesterday we asked the kids what they wanted, and they want to go to the Capital. It’s just that it’s so much trouble for you.
Even though they have their brother and sister-in-law, and sister and brother-in-law, the four of them all have to study, and after they get in they’ll still have school. In the end, all the kids will be around you."
Jiang Xinyu smiled. "The kids will all be in school; I’ll only see them at night. You don’t need to worry about that, and there’ll also be people to take care of them."
"Then I’ll be relying on you. Actually I know what Lv Beiguang is thinking: if we really can build a winery, then he’ll definitely go to the South. To be honest, I’ve never been to the Capital, but just imagining it I know the Capital must be better than anywhere else.
That’s also why I bought them a house in the Capital and had their household registrations moved there.
In the future, even if they follow us two, we won’t have time to take care of them.
Actually my idea was to find someone specially to look after the three kids.
I know you’ll definitely be very busy. When the time comes, the few of them will inevitably take up some of your energy."
Jiang Xinyu didn’t mind. Leaving the kids with her was fine; she could manage.
"We’ll talk about it when the time comes. Kids need playmates. Shi Xian and Tingting are older than they are; if they’re willing, then having them in front of me, I’d be at ease."
Lv Beiguang also told Wei Kaiyun about this.
"No problem. When the time comes, they can live at my place, or we can find someone to take care of them. Let’s go by what the kids want."
"Actually I can’t bear to leave the kids, but they want to go, want to be with Monk Master and Master Wu, and they can’t bear to be apart from their brothers and sisters."
"Once we get to the Capital we’ll make arrangements. Jing Chu and the others also have to study."
Wei Kaiyun meant to just hire a truck directly; there was too much stuff at home, one truck might not even fit it all, especially Feifei’s paintings and books and such.
Jiang Xinyu was afraid something might happen on the road, but what Wei Kaiyun was worried about was also true: with so many things, it wasn’t possible for them to take it all by themselves.
They’d lived here for over ten years. Even if they gave a lot of things away to the villagers, there were still too many things they had to take.
In the end they could only hire two trucks, since there was also Guodong’s and Old Yang’s house.
These days Old Yang still had to teach Lv Beiguang to drive. After just one lesson, Lv Beiguang gave up, and unexpectedly, Yang Xiuqin picked it up right away.
"I’m too old." Lv Beiguang said, standing there.
Old Yang looked at him with contempt. He even had the nerve to say that, when this jeep was going to be left to them. After they got to the Capital they’d buy a new one.
