Lying in bed, Mu Qiancheng felt a bit regretful. He should have just called Jiang Xue directly. But thinking about Jiang Xue’s situation, he became worried again.
He thought Jiang Xue’s situation must be really dangerous; otherwise, she wouldn’t be unable to contact him just after sending a message.
Actually, he was overthinking. Jiang Xue’s situation wasn’t as dangerous as he imagined. On the contrary, because of using hypnotism, her situation was much better compared to before.
The reason she didn’t call or wait for his message was simply because it was too late. Jiang Xue figured Mu Qiancheng was probably already asleep.
Jiang Xue didn’t know Mu Qiancheng was worried, nor did she know he had replied. At this moment, she was still looking at some documents and reports.
Even though she was just looking at things, to Jiang Xue, time still seemed to fly by. In the blink of an eye, it was already time to clock out.
Today, Jin Hao didn’t call and didn’t have Ah Lin take her out for dinner. Jiang Xue had no choice but to join everyone and go to the factory cafeteria for dinner.
After dinner, Ah Lin finally appeared before Jiang Xue and then said to her: "Miss Jiang, the boss asked me if you’ll be sleeping here tonight or going back to the hotel."
After thinking it over, Jiang Xue thought it was more convenient to return to the hotel and said, "I’d better go back to the hotel. My luggage and stuff are all at the hotel."
"Alright, I’ll arrange for someone to take you back to the hotel."
"Thank you!"
Jiang Xue thanked him and waited for a while before the car arrived. Ah Lin had the driver take Jiang Xue and Huo Cong back to the hotel.
By the time they got back to the hotel, it was already past seven. Jiang Xue returned to the hotel and, as usual, took a shower, changed clothes, and then entered the space.
Only after preparing food for the child and feeding them did she have the time to look at her phone.
Thinking about the message she sent at noon, Jiang Xue took her phone, held the child, and left the space. As soon as she did, she received a reply from Mu Qiancheng.
Upon seeing the time, Jiang Xue couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty. She probably shouldn’t have messaged Mu Qiancheng at that time; she had ended up waking him.
She calculated Huaxia’s time, realizing it was when Mu Qiancheng was in class. She had to push back the thought of calling him and instead sent a message.
There was one thing Jiang Xue hadn’t expected: barely a few seconds after she sent the message, Mu Qiancheng’s call came through.
Picking up the phone, Jiang Xue smiled and asked, "Qian Cheng, aren’t you in class? How come you called back so quickly?"
However, Mu Qiancheng didn’t answer Jiang Xue’s question but instead asked with concern, "Xue’er, how are you? Is there any danger in calling?"

"But, the matter I mentioned yesterday, did you inform Mr. Lan? If not, I’ll call him in a bit."
"Xue’er, I already notified him last night. You don’t need to call again. In the future, if there’s anything you need, you should contact me directly. I hope to be the first to hear from you."
"Alright, I’ll send you messages or call you directly from now on."
"Great, no matter how late it is, my phone will be on 24/7."
"Okay, I got it!"
"By the way, how have you been lately? Have you called home? Are Mom and Dad alright?"
"Don’t worry, I call home every couple of days. They’re doing well; it’s just a little reunion isn’t around, so it’s a bit hard to get used to."
