Chapter 1616 - 1617: Slowing Down
One of the Black Beauties told his driver to take out his rocket launcher, then hefted it onto his shoulder and aimed at the Chinese soldiers.
The car was slowing down.
"Bang..."
The rocket flew straight at the Chinese soldiers’ vehicle and blasted it apart on impact. At that moment, one soldier landed on the ground completely unharmed, even staggered forward a few steps.
In this situation, shouldn’t he be dead? How could he be fine? The soldier thought for a second and looked down at himself. He saw he was wrapped in a set of black armor he’d never seen before. It looked tough as hell.
I am Ye Lingyun, and they’re close by. Rosa sensed something was wrong. She promptly mobilized Lianfeng to code the bug-hole and successfully got the black armor onto the soldier. Unfortunately, she only had two sets at the time, one of them a women’s model, so she couldn’t save everyone.
By now, Ye Lingyun had already sprinted to the Black Beauty soldiers’ car, standing there, waiting for the next slaughter.
"Hey, guys, look, isn’t that Rose?"
One of the Black Beauties snapped a picture of Rose and compared it with her. He got very excited. Right now the distance between them and the tank wasn’t dangerous. Plus there were Chinese here. They wouldn’t open fire lightly.
"American Black Beauties?"
Ye Lingyun looked at the men in front of him with disdain and spoke quietly. He knew the Black Beauties were now following Mogana’s lead, and this time they’d come to take Rose away—but they didn’t have that kind of ability.
"Whatever you’re doing, get lost. I’ll pull the trigger and kill you."
The Black Beauty pulled out his gun and looked at Ye Lingyun with contempt. He had no idea how strong this guy was. If he knew, he would never have said that.
"Black Beauties?" At this moment, Rose didn’t know any of this, but she had heard of the Black Beauties. "Who sent you?"
"Just come back with us. Stop spouting nonsense."
The Black Beauty didn’t want to waste too much time. They’d be catching up to the tank later. They didn’t want to get wiped out again.
At this point, Ye Lingyun couldn’t hold back anymore. He extended the steel claws on the back of his hand, kicked off hard with his right foot, and launched himself straight onto the Black Beauties’ car. He instantly chopped off the head of the guy who’d just been talking to Rose, then raised his hand to cut down the rest.
"Wait, I want to know where they’re from."
I was stopped by Rose. And besides, these people he’d never seen before had come straight out saying they wanted to take her away. How could she not get things clear.
Ye Lingyun heard Rose and froze his hand in midair, stopping his attack.
"Dad!"
The Black Beauties thought this was their chance. They started firing at Ye Lingyun. They were too ruthless. They’d kill you. They’d kill you.
But they clearly saw that, although the bullets hit Ye Lingyun, the wounds healed almost instantly. They had never seen anything like this.
"Chi Da..."
In just a few moves, Ye Lingyun took care of all the other Black Beauties, leaving only one mouth still breathing. He grabbed the back of the man’s collar and tossed him down next to Rose. He could satisfy Rose’s curiosity, but a guy this arrogant was not fit to live in front of him. Once Rosa’s questions were answered, the man would die.
"Tell me who sent you."
Rose crouched down lightly, looked at the Black Beauty in front of her, and asked.
"Don’t blame Mogana."
The Black Beauty spoke trembling, his eyes still darting constantly toward Ye Lingyun. Too terrifying. What the hell was this guy? How could bullet wounds heal so fast?
"Who??"
Leng Bing heard that and actually bent closer. She was in fact footing the bill for the Black Beauties, but what she hadn’t expected was that they’d sell her out this easily. So this was what her subordinates were like.
"Mogana."
The Black Beauty answered again. Anyway, he knew he was going to die. Now he could say whatever he had. If he didn’t speak, he’d have no chance at all.
"Don’t frame a good person. Have you even met her? Did she personally send you?"
Leng Bing tried to recall which Black Beauties she’d contacted, but she was sure nothing like this had happened.
"No..." No, but I’m sure she told our boss to come find Rose."
Hearing that icy voice, I almost passed out. I hadn’t expected to uncover such trash. No discipline at all. I’d just told them about my own affairs and they went and blabbed everything.
"What does she want from me?"
Rose was even more confused, but they had to know what was going on.
"Mogana said she likes you. You must be her good subordinate. We have to bring you back."
The Black Beauty spilled the whole story, leaving Leng Bing utterly embarrassed.
"Hahaha, you’re really honest. How can you talk like that?"
Seeing this, Ye Lingyun couldn’t help laughing. He hadn’t wanted to meddle in his sisters’ business, but now the situation was just too funny.
"What are you laughing at?"
Hearing Ye Lingyun’s laughter, her voice went soft and hazy. She had no idea what was happening.
"Nothing. I’m just laughing at this guy. He’s really kind of cute."
Ye Lingyun laughed as he lowered his head to look at the Black Beauty in front of him, finding it more and more hilarious.
"Then could you let me off this time? I won’t come to China anymore, absolutely not."
The Black Beauty knelt in front of Ye Lingyun. This was a critical moment for him. If he could live, he’d do anything.
"That’s not up to me."
Ye Lingyun had just killed the other Black Beauty members, so his temper was still running hot. He left this one for Rosa to deal with, then turned to look at her.
"Boom."
In that instant, a huge explosion went off right under Ye Lingyun’s feet. Fortunately he reacted in time and jumped away immediately. Leng Bing was standing in the same place, but she just covered her head with her hands. Rose and that soldier didn’t have such strong abilities. They were blown back directly. Thankfully they had armor protecting them, so there weren’t any major injuries.
Ye Lingyun rushed to Rose, crouched down, and pulled her into his arms.
"Sister Wei, are you okay?"
He sounded very concerned as he looked at Rose, but his teeth were grinding. Even in front of his own sister he was about to snap, like he was tired of living.
"I’m fine."
Rose said, then lifted her head to look at the sky. She saw a small spaceship circling above them, and she’d never seen that shape before. It didn’t look like the kind the gluttonous bunch used.
"Target the Super Soldier. Is it dead?"
At this moment, the Giant Wolf piloting the spaceship reported back to Command Center. Turns out they were acting under orders from Command Center to annihilate the soldiers of the company.
"Kill it."
Command Center gave them that instruction, but what they hadn’t expected was that the company didn’t just have ordinary soldiers; it also had Mogana and Ye Lingyun.
"Bang..."
Right then, the spaceship opened fire again at Rose’s position. Fortunately, Ye Lingyun leapt away while holding Rose, then gently set her down on the ground.
"Damn it, my patience is gone."
He stood up again, staring at the Giant Wolf spaceship. There was only one ship now. Seemed like he couldn’t use his gene powers. Then he’d just use other means. With that thought, Ye Lingyun jumped straight up, landed on the Giant Wolf Star ship, extended the steel claws on the back of his hand, and struck without warning.

One Giant Wolf on the ship asked another.
"Do what? What else can we do? All together."
It was easy enough for him to say that, but actually doing it wasn’t so simple.
Since Ye Lingyun was attacking them, they set their first target on Ye Lingyun. One way or another, they were all going to die. The order didn’t really matter.
