Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2730 - 20: He Must Die!

Of course, that Stellar-level guy’s guess is actually pretty spot-on—your average Galaxy Level won’t pull something like this.

Even Jia Yan himself, if he were conscious right now, probably wouldn’t tolerate a bunch of weaklings out there combing around for him like this.

Don’t be fooled by how Jia Yan acts all calm most of the time; deep down he’s a hardcore Strong Ones-first kind of guy, and he’s definitely not the type to swallow his anger. Just look at his usual style of doing things and you’ll know.

If he were awake now, there’s a good chance he’d just slap his way over, wipe out this group of creatures, then leave like nothing happened.

But the problem is, Jia Yan hasn’t woken up.

Thump.

Thump.

Thump.

Thump-thump.

Deep inside Subspace, a Cocoon-like object was being stubbornly shoved forward by a huge spaceship that was actually much smaller than the Cocoon itself.

Originally, the Cocoon and the ship were in third- and fourth-degree Space, but at this point they really couldn’t stay in such shallow layers anymore.

The investigation team outside, sure, their tech isn’t anything super outrageous, but it’s still top-tier tech in this stretch of Starry Sky. If they really fired up their investigation Energy at full power, third- and fourth-degree Space really might get swept.

That would be a bit troublesome, so Adisa pushed this Cocoon that was echoing with Heartbeats deeper inside the Subspace Interior.

"Fifth degree already, forget it. If I push any further down, the Adisa might not be able to dock normally at all. It’d burn extra Energy, not to mention there’s a chance the hull could run into problems. As for Master’s Cocoon, staying in fifth-degree should be fine."

Adisa wiped off sweat that didn’t exist.

Then it started checking all around the Cocoon nonstop.

It had been playing nice and stalling with the outside the whole time, purely to buy time and Let Jia Yan emerge.

Now it had shoved Jia Yan’s Cocoon into the Fifth-degree subspace interior because it felt the Cocoon already showed signs of life inside, and the Cocoon’s Defense was clearly a level stronger than before. Otherwise, no matter how much it worried about outside, it wouldn’t dare push the Cocoon into Space Fifth Degree.

Luckily, the Cocoon itself had no real issues.

"That Heart is beating like crazy. Master’s newborn this time is definitely, definitely going to be insanely strong, far stronger than before. Haha, Master is about to step onto the Territory Master Path. If that Senior Light and Shadow from back then sees it, won’t he be overjoyed too?"

Adisa laughed out loud.

Its intelligence actually inherited everything from that Senior Light and Shadow. Not to mention Senior Light and Shadow doesn’t really even count as a lifeform; even if you insist he does, honestly, his life was already handed over to Adisa.

So Adisa being happy is basically the same as that Senior Light and Shadow being happy—it inherited all his memories.

"But the problem is, the intel I just probed out says that the investigation team outside is indeed here for Master, and that Territory Master is really taking it seriously, has even notified a huge swath of surrounding Starry Sky. That’s a pain. A Territory Master actually getting this pissed—Master really is a trouble magnet."

Adisa was also quite helpless about Jia Yan’s talent for causing trouble. It had followed Jia Yan for so long that it understood all too well how this seemingly calm guy keeps stirring up messes.

Now it was the same story. Normally, once you’ve reached the level of a Galaxy Level creature and want to live quietly in the Milky Way, basically no one will come bother you. Even Domain Master Creatures don’t just casually go pick a fight with some Galaxy Level creature. After all, the other side might have a Territory Master buddy, or belong to a Galaxy Level Alliance that could gang up on a Domain Master Creature. Even a Territory Master might not walk away unscathed.

But things had to play out like a joke: Jia Yan has Domain Master Creature friends, and he’s got a Galaxy Level Alliance behind him, yet even so he went and offended a Territory Master and got hunted down.

That left the Adisa totally speechless. It knew Jia Yan would piss people off, but never expected that just from that one Energy Circle earlier, they’d somehow offend a Territory Master out of nowhere.

It really had nothing to say, because Jia Yan didn’t seem to have done anything wrong—he was just inexplicably chased by two Star River Level Beings, and then that stirred up a Territory Master.

Now they’d fled into this unfamiliar patch of Starry Sky, and people still managed to come knocking.

"What the hell is this, Master? Wake up already, or I really won’t be able to hold out on my own."

Adisa almost wanted to cry.

A single Stellar-level creature is still manageable for now, but if they drag this out and Star River Level Beings show up, Adisa alone, relying on those Explosive meteorites and materials, won’t be able to hold the line.

Maybe, in response to Adisa’s plea, the Heart’s beating sped up even more.

Thump, thump, thump.

"Huh? Master, you heard me? Don’t let your Heart beat that fast, no need to rush. I’ll stall for as long as I can."

Adisa seemed to realize this was Jia Yan using his body to comfort it, and once it knew Jia Yan had woken up, it stopped being afraid.

Leaving aside how Adisa kept delaying for time, the one causing these Heartbeats, sure enough, was Jia Yan.

Inside the Cocoon, Jia Yan, in pain, sensed the sounds from outside.

Although Adisa was a Light and Shadow creature, inside Subspace it had technological support for spoken speech, so it could produce sound.

Jia Yan currently didn’t have any auditory organs forming yet, but he already had faint strands of weak Brainwave Power he could extend outside his body to perceive what was happening out there.

So he heard Adisa’s voice.

And to let this intelligent Light and Shadow know he understood its situation, he immediately manipulated his body to make his Heartbeat accelerate.

That way, he was comforting Adisa.

"Hmph, so an investigation team really did show up outside? And it’s sent by that Territory Master? I didn’t go looking for his trouble, yet he actually comes for mine..."

Jia Yan sneered relentlessly.

He knew he’d royally pissed that guy off last time, but he never thought that even after he’d escaped to this stretch of Starry Sky, the guy would still chase across a vast slice of Star River just to hunt him down.

That was way over the line—completely unacceptable for Jia Yan.

"In the future, if I’ve got the Power, that Domain Master Creature is absolutely dead..."

Jia Yan was fuming. Especially when he remembered how, just to dodge this Domain Master Creature’s pursuit, he’d lost all his legs. Now it was a big hassle trying to regrow them, which made him even more furious.

That bastard was just great—chasing him till his legs were gone, and now continuing the hunt and investigation, and still able to probe all the way out here across such a distance. He basically wanted Jia Yan dead.

Well, there’s nothing left to say. Jia Yan figured that if he ever had the Power to go head-to-head with this guy, he definitely wouldn’t let that chance slip.

But the problem was, even if he completed his mutation now, he’d still be far, far off from a Domain Master Creature.

So Jia Yan only let himself be mad for a bit. He had no intention of rushing off to seek vengeance right away.

At most, he’d just remember it.

"My Heart has already been reconstructed. Next up is the main structure of the body, and I can even start working a little on the legs."

Jia Yan silently continued his own reconstruction and repair.

If he were to describe the mutation process right now, aside from the pain, it was like playing a character-pinching game. Of course, he couldn’t change things too drastically, but for small tweaks that didn’t affect a mosquito’s outer appearance, he really could operate freely.

Like adjusting the hardness of some area, or slightly strengthening a certain organ.

These changes might be troublesome and carry a chance of failure, but overall, compared to other people’s process of getting stronger, Jia Yan absolutely had a huge advantage.

Of course, because of this kind of Transformation, he’d also produce quite a few weak points. For example, some organs or some spots on his exterior that he didn’t pay attention to might end up with Defense that’s too flimsy.

But these weak points, compared to the benefits, were still a net positive, so Jia Yan went after them eagerly, with zero intention of giving up on his self-initiated mutation and Transformation process.

Fortunately, overall, things were going pretty well.

Thump, thump.

Thump, thump-thump.

Ever since Adisa started talking to him, the Heart’s beating had grown stronger and more powerful. Jia Yan was actively speeding up his own reconstruction and mutation process.
