Chapter 2701 - 6: Can’t Escape?
"You two, what do you mean?"
Jia Yan’s expression grew colder.
"No need for nonsense, this chess piece of yours, trying to bluff your way out now is impossible."
The two Middle-Stage Galactic Lifeforms had already deemed Jia Yan a discarded chess piece and directly made their move!
These two entities were over fifty kilometers large, and compared to the current Jia Yan, were both larger.
Thus, when they acted together, they were like two enormous mountains crashing heavily toward Jia Yan.
The size difference was evident, and in basic strength, there was also a certain disparity.
Although they were also Star River Middle Stage, they were slightly more solid than those at the initial stage of this level.
Therefore, in terms of energy, they undoubtedly had more than Jia Yan.
This was also the critical reason why they boldly acted after discerning Jia Yan’s reality.
After all, a powerhouse fighting with another creature of the same rank out of pure anger is rare — it’s all about weighing one’s chances of victory internally and daring to act only when they’re confident they won’t be hurt.
Yet they never expected this bumpkin, who appeared weaker than them in energy, was far from being as vulnerable as they imagined.
Boom!
Upon the first clash, Jia Yan’s body shot backward.
His forelegs, each dealing with one, were simultaneously struck by the two Middle Level Existence in Star River, naturally retreating.
Their strength was indeed not weak.
But that’s about it.
"Hmm?"
The two Mid-level Galaxy Existence were suddenly surprised.
They had believed that despite any reason for this abandoned chess piece to have ascended to the Star River Middle Stage, his strength was definitely inferior to either of them.
Yet in the first collision, though they were uninjured, it wasn’t as they wished — this Outsider Middle Rank Creature wasn’t seriously hurt.
This startled them.
They were working together, after all.
"Oh, you actually have some strength; we underestimated you, Mr. Chess Piece."
Both of their gazes shifted slightly.
They even wondered whether what the other claimed was true, for with such combat power, why would that Territory Master abandon him?
Yet when recalling that Jia Yan had said he had attained an equal status with that Domain Master Creatures, they felt Jia Yan was talking nonsense, for in this Starfield at least, a creature just earlier at Early-stage Galaxy-level existence gaining an equal status with a Territory Master? Impossible.
Of course, this is the ’urban-rural gap.’ In the city, namely this region near the Milky Way Central District, elites abound, and Galacixc Level Powerhouse are numerous.
Unlike the countryside, such as the Insect Clan’s Domain or Orion Arm, where finding even one Galaxy Level is tough, let alone many. This leads to the relationship between Star River Level and Territory Master not being as large as the power gap suggests, with many standing on equal footing. After all, Territory Master Creatures couldn’t have no social interaction and exclusively seek other Territory Masters — unlikely, considering everyone would be enemies; they would only seek somewhat weaker Middle Rank Creature or lower-level creatures.
Queen of the Insect Clan had little thought of being on equal footing with Jia Yan, but in this Star Zone, it’s like an ordinary soldier standing equal with a king — an impossible notion.
"You two, you shouldn’t underestimate other powerhouses of the same rank!"
Jia Yan’s face was not pleasant either.
In other starfields, he was never looked down upon so.
Just promoted, significant progress in power, even his level had nominally advanced — normally pleasing and joyful; yet right away, two dim-witted individuals came to ruin his mood.
Jia Yan expressed his dissatisfaction.
"Powerhouses of the same rank? Haha, a newly promoted creature wanting to talk about being same rank with us, wait until your strength stabilizes first."
Upon hearing Jia Yan’s words, the other laughed heartily.
In their view, that’s how it was, Jia Yan was previously a River Among the Stars Early Stage lifeform, now newly promoted, perhaps his strength still merely at the early stage peak, nominally the same rank as them; his arrogance amused these two creatures greatly.
Jia Yan spoke no more.
He dodged an attack from one Middle-Stage Galactic Lifeform, exploded with Matter-Antimatter Power within, and with a puff sound, forced the other attacker back.
Then Jia Yan, with an icy expression, stomped back foot and retreated into Subspace Interior.
The entire enormous Giant Mosquito body vanished in an instant within the Starry Sky.
"Oh, using your Subspace Talent, must say, all you using Subspace Abilities are trash, can’t win so you flee, cannot escape so you delve deeper; every ploy is the same. Little do you know, as a so-called strong one, there’s no talk of being strong, just fleeing is all; how can there be a heart of a strong one."
One enemy spoke coldly to the surrounding space, smiling.
Just as stated earlier, they showed no surprise at Jia Yan’s use of Subspace Talent.
From their tone, Subspace Talent was akin to street rats in this Starfield or wider Star Zone, with none recognizing their strength.
Jia Yan in Subspace Interior grew more solemn.
He remembered suddenly, the opponents were near Milky Way Central District-level Star River Level.
